What Storm are You In?

 This is a very interesting article.  So many times I view "Storms" as attacks from the enemy or something I "Deserve" for taking the wrong path.  I like how Lance explains that God can send storms to strengthen us.  

  We're all going through so many storms right now.  I like how Lance shows in this article that God can use EVERY storm we go through, regardless of it's source, to draw us closer to Him.  God is VERY interested in having a personal relationship with everyone living on this planet.  

  Although we can't imagine how He can have a relationship with each one of us, it does us good to ponder this.  God is NOT too busy to notice when we're sad or in trouble.  He is always there to help us through our trials when we ASK Him too!!!

  I pray that this blesses you all.  I covet your prayers for my family as we have sickness; 2 pregnancies; a possible marriage; a drought to deal with on our farm and grain cleaning business; and 4 little ones to bring up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.  The weight of it all is overwhelming at times for Robert and I.

  May God bless you as you turn to Him in EVERY storm you are going through!!

Are you facing a storm? I know that many of us have walked through seasons when it seemed like the sunshine would never return. The interesting thing is, not all storms have the same source or intent behind them.

There are actually three storms you may encounter in life: the storm God sends, the storm that is a result of a bad decision, and the storm that the enemy throws at you!

Each storm is navigated differently. Let's explore this theme and how we're meant to respond.

Storm #1

The storm God sends is intense, but it is designed to get you to the other side, with increased capacity and more liberated than if you had avoided the sea and played it safe.

God sent a storm to chase Jonah out of resistance and into the perfect will of God in Nineveh—the very place he was avoiding (Jonah 1-4). An idol is something keeping you from God's greater thing: His mercy and His undeserved blessing. An idol is anything you love more than God. Many a storm is sent to break a hidden attachment from your life. It may be the fear of man, an addiction, a person, or an influence that does not belong there. The idol is almost always seeking something more than what pleases the Lord. Jonah made his own agenda greater than God's. He was delivered when he yielded, and the entire time that he was in distress, the fish was taking him to his destiny.

Storm #2

The storm of bad decisions may be choices you made, or others made, that affected you.

Paul was nearly drowned when others decided to set sail, when they should have stayed in harbor. Many Christians are downright frustrated with the choices of leaders in government because they know the end result will be loss of cargo (economic), or worse, the very ship of state (shipwreck). Paul, however, prayed and fasted till an angel got involved, and the ship was rerouted to an island where he was able to take over. He safely landed in Rome, reaching even more territory than was in the original plan (Acts 27).

God will overrule bad decisions to bring forth wisdom and get you where you need to be. Look at how Solomon, the "wisdom child" of David, came forth out of the disastrous decision that David made to sleep with Bathsheba. The storm you create becomes a storm God is in, once you let Him take the helm.

Storm #3

The storm the devil sends is an attack that is designed to stop you, overthrow you, and ultimately destroy God's purpose for your life.

When Jesus was in the boat with the disciples, a great storm arose that threatened their lives. They were experienced fishermen, yet this was a type of storm they had never encountered before. Jesus arose and rebuked the manifestation in the wind and the sea, and there was an immediate calm (Matthew 8:26). (Photo via Pixabay)

Jesus challenged His disciples, "Where is your faith?" Jesus spoke to the wind and waves and they submitted to His voice. Find the word that God is giving you in the satanic assault and speak to the situation. His word is sufficient to overcome the devil.

Jesus talked to things—to trees that did not produce and to spirits invisible to the human eye. Thoughts are "things" when they take on the power of fear. Disease, financial attack, theft and violence are all works of Hell. Speak what God says and watch Heaven back up your utterance.

God is present in every storm, and each storm will be made to fulfill God's word over your life!

"Fire, and hail; snow, and vapor; stormy wind fulfilling His word." (Psalm 148:8)

The Holy Spirit knows the way through every storm, and He is inside of you. God will never leave you or forsake you to the stormy elements; the elements must yield to Him.

All three storms are common to man, but you, my friend, are an uncommon vessel. The hardships you come through become a testimony to others. You are a storm-riding child of the most high God.

You can count on this: no matter the cause of the storm, we have a faithful Father who redeems the story!

ARE YOU DONE BEING small for HIM?

 WOW!

 For 14 years God has used me to help others to heal through BodyTalk.  For 14 years, God's people have rejected me.  I've even been told that it worked "Too good!  It had to be from satan."  

 Countless times I have laid down my work.  I absolutely positively had to know that it was from God.  When God used me to help save lives; heal the sick; improve marriages; help couples to conceive and hundreds of other "Issues" people deal with I KNEW that He was blessing the world through my skills.

  Still, a person can only take so much rejection.  The times when people would suffer or even die before they would ask for my help, I SUFFERED!!  We are talking about my mother, father, and brother.  I could have helped them have longer and healthier lives but they refused to take me seriously and they died without asking for my help!!!!!!!!!!!  That still hurts.

  So, I've just gone along and worked on whomever the Lord asked me to without promoting myself.  I work with my whole family, which is 13 individuals, and several other families on a regular basis.  It keeps my skills sharp and I get a little pocket change BUT  I've always wanted more.  I want to help more families!!  There, now I said it.

  This word today, through His servant Nate Johnston, has encouraged me to think that I won't always be "Small."  It excites me to think that Father may be moving me more into active service with my BodyTalk; Body Code; Splankna; and radionic skills.  I don't know who would do my household chores but we shall see what His plan for me is.  

  I would encourage you to read this with anticipation for what God has for you to do to expand His kingdom on Earth.  How will He grow you through all that is going on now?  How much can we all do for Him by using our "Little" talents and let Him grow them in the way that H wants them to grow.  It's an exciting thought, isn't it?

  Here's to giving up "Small" and embracing "HUGE!"

The world, in all its chaos and "tempest," is the perfect setting – not for shutdown and survival, but for the greatest season of ripening and launching we have yet seen in the earth. I'm talking about those who are, right now, in the early phases of pioneering movements never before seen, and the eagles who are peering over the edge of the nest about to take their first flight into the unknown. This is for you...

Reformational Blueprints

"Remember what I showed you?" I heard the Lord say to me a few months ago. He began to remind me of the 2-week-long revelatory encounter that He had taken me into in December of 2009, which started on one Friday-night service at Bethel Church in Redding. It was like God took a prophetic banner with the word "Reformation" scribed onto it and wrapped me up in it until it overtook my life.

For two weeks straight I couldn't think about anything else other than this word that I had never heard of before. Every day was a nonstop torrent of information, Scriptures, and visions where He was showing me a season to come, where the Church would leave the four walls and step into something extraordinary. I would see similar visions over and over of these walls breaking out and Believers being mobilized as the Church in different ways, such as meeting up in coffee shops, parks, and gathering around the family table.

I saw millions of tiny fires lit up on a map all over the globe; Believers were being radical voices, and the Church as I once knew it was upside down – and to be honest, it challenged me. This wasn't the Church or Kingdom that I knew at the time, but it became a reality inside of me that I couldn't ignore.

Wildfires & Micro Movements

"Movements are beginning and voices are rising," He said to me. Then I heard a peculiar phrase in my spirit: "Micro movements." I thought, What are they? What does that even mean?

Then I saw the same vision that I saw in 2009, and many times since, of millions of fires lighting up the globe.

Micro means "very small, microscopic, or on a small scale."

"What are You trying to say, Lord?" I asked, and He said:

"I have given blueprints of millions of movements to My people that are needed for this time, but many are holding back because they look small and insignificant. But they need to know that they may look small in size, or in comparison to other movements of the past, but they carry the same might, power, and 'backing' of Heaven. They are wildfire movements that will be catalysts for revival around the earth and become the infrastructure for stewarding the greatest harvest the earth has yet seen!

"So what does this look like?" I asked. And again I saw the parks with people gathering together and worshiping – fields with people praising the name of Jesus; coffee shops with people talking about Jesus and praying together, and homes where people were coming together and prophesying over each other. (Photo via Unsplash)

In my spirit I knew this wasn't confined to the physical either; people will begin movements online, chats, groups, and fiery gatherings to mobilize Believers around the world. The Scripture that came to mind was Matthew 18:20: "For where two or three gather in My name, there am I with them."

"Two or three?" I asked.

"Yes!" the Lord replied.

Organic Movements & Garage Band Startups

The Lord then took me into a vision where I saw a worship band playing in a garage, and they were raw, unpolished, yet carried so much anointing. In fact, in the vision, I began longing for the sound of worship I hadn't heard in a long time. The focus was less on the perfection and back onto the Presence.

Firstly, this spoke to me about how God's heart in this season is not about the polished look and sound of the movement, but the heart. He is after those who will simply reveal His heart instead of trying to look shiny and polished.

Secondly, it reminded me of the bands I grew up listening to that began in their garages and soon became internationally demanded. They didn't know that the sound that began in a garage would soon become anthems sung in stadiums; and in that same way, God is pouring out His Spirit upon that which looks foolish to the wise or rough around the edges.

Revival doesn't begin because we have the best building, band, or usher team, but because people decide they are going to come together and pray and invite Jesus into their city and state, and that is the very purpose of these rising movements. It's the convergence of two commissions:

"If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14)

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, and He has anointed me to be hope for the poor, healing for the brokenhearted, and new eyes for the blind, and to preach to prisoners, 'You are set free!' I have come to share the message of Jubilee, for the time of God's great acceptance has begun." (Luke 4:18-19)

These movements are rising as an answer to the problems in our nations; the evil that has been hidden for far too long, and principalities that have long bullied our regions. These movements are beginning to release the Spirit of God into places He has not been invited into so that healing can come, freedom can come, eyes can be opened, hearts can be awakened, captives can be set free, and the message of the Gospel can go into the earth and people who do not know God can encounter Him!

Micro Movements with Mega Influence!

What I saw next was sobering and convicting. I saw these micro movements being moved and positioned into key positions, regions, and spheres where they were needed most. God was not just raising up movements in the Church but in all mountains of influence – Government, Family, Economy, the Arts and more. And as they were positioned, they were releasing a turnaround anointing that was bringing Kingdom ALIGNMENT to those areas they were in.

God then said, "But will they cross over the line? Will they dare to break away from the religious and political spirit that moves against the flow of My Spirit?"

Then the Scripture came to mind from Luke 4:8: "Jesus answered, 'It is written: "Worship the Lord your God and serve Him only."'" (Photo via Pxhere)

I felt that God was saying, "Will you launch with only Me in mind? Will you lay down your reputation and image for Me? Will you jump out and live for Me alone?"

What Micro Movement Is in You?

So let me ask you: What micro movement is in you? What looks small but carries huge potential and anointing? Just like the word "microscope," your movement may look small, but when God takes a hold of it He MAGNIFIES it!

Here are a few keys for those wanting to launch in this season:

• Change your perspective on what a God has given you. Look through HIS eyes. "Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel's hand..." (Zechariah 4:10).

• Realize that God has chosen and anointed you for this hour and for this mission. Cast off the "grasshopper" mentality. "...We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them" (Numbers 13:33).

• Refuse to cater to the fear of man. Even the most well-meaning person who is more motivated by fear and caution will give you the worst advice; which leads me to...

• Move in faith. Do something to move forward and God will keep meeting you at every step.
Lay down your reputation. In a time where people are trying to maintain their territory and image, God is calling us to lay it down for the Kingdom. If you are trying to keep everyone liking you and agreeing with you, you will likely not move out in faith.

• Let the Holy Spirit guide and lead you, not the news, cultural opinions, or man-made agendas. Stop looking for approval from the old wine skin and BE the new wine skin!

A Prayer of Commissioning

Now let me pray a prayer of commissioning over you:

Holy Spirit, baptize every person reading this in Your fire. Remove every trace of the fear of man; sever Jezebel's muzzle; remove the control of religion, the political spirits of legalism, and put COURAGE into Your people's hearts and bones.

I prophesy that the dead bones of dropped movements will come back to life. There will be an IGNITION to visions and dreams, and the favor to see fruit as they step out in faith to birth what You gave them, in Jesus' name!

What is God saying in our dreams?

 God speaks to people all the time.  Are we listening?  This message is very important as Kim shares below.  God told her to say that He is especially speaking to us through dreams right now.

  Much prayer needs to be made for God's people around the world who are being massacred.  On one hand, it seems so unfair that He allows this to happen.  On the other hand, His ways are not our ways.  His purposes are so much higher that we can't even imagine all of the things that He might be accomplishing in any given event.

  Let's listen even more intently for the still, small voice of God.  He may have certain things that need to be done RIGHT NOW!!  God loves us soooo much and His word says that He leads His sheep beside the still waters.  

  Lead us, dear Jesus, through all of the turmoil we may find ourselves in!  Prepare a table for us in the presence of our enemies.  Anoint our heads with oil and fill our cups with your joy to be alive during this amazing time in history.  

  It's not long now!

On Monday night I had a restless night's sleep, with a jumble of dreams. Dreams are not uncommon for me. I often dream, some God dreams and some not; yet I have always been able to distinguish when a dream was from God. At least I thought I had.

The Freezers Are Off!

Tuesday morning came and I went about my day, completing my work and not really thinking about the dreams I had the night before. That would soon change.

In the afternoon, my daughter stopped by to pick something up from the office. As she was leaving, she turned around and asked, "Mom, is something wrong with your garage door? It wouldn't open when I pushed the button."

In an instant, I thought of the dream I had the night before. I knew immediately it was a warning dream from God, one I had not heeded.

I quickly jumped up and exclaimed, "If something is wrong in the garage, my freezers are off!"

Following Bre to the garage, I knew exactly what was wrong – I had dreamed it, even though I didn't realize it. Thankfully everything was still frozen, however, if she hadn't stopped by it wouldn't have been for long.

I felt convicted and somber. I knew God had warned me in the dream, but I didn't pay attention. You see, the night before, in my jumble of dreams, I kept dreaming something was wrong in the garage and the freezers were off and everything was thawed out. Because I had just put meat in the freezer along with corn, berries, and peppers for winter, I assumed I had the dream because these things were on my mind. I was wrong. Pay Attention to Your Dreams

After Breanne left, I repented. As soon as I repented, God spoke to me and said, "Pay attention to your dreams; I am going to be speaking in your dreams." He went on to say, "Tell the people to pay attention to their dreams; I will be speaking through them."

In that moment I knew God would be giving wisdom, as well as insight and instruction in dreams in the days to come.

This is nothing new to God. He has often given wisdom and direction in dreams. Remember Pharaoh in the book of Genesis? Not only did God show Pharaoh what was to come, but He showed him how to prepare for it and prosper through it. He is the same God today – He can do the same thing for us in this season.

Job 33:14-16 says, "For God may speak in one way, or in another, yet man does not perceive it. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men, while slumbering on their beds, then He opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction."

There is a great deal more I can share on dreams, however, I feel I am only to say what I was told to say and leave it at that. Therefore, God said to tell you, "Pay attention to your dreams, for He is going to be speaking through them."
