Peace in Turmoil

For about a month I've had a lot of pain with a tooth and had it pulled on Monday.  This morning I learned of my uncle's death and my brother's approaching death.  My uncle, I know for certain, loved the Lord and is with Him in paradise from the moment of his death.  Equally as certain I dread the results of my brother's judgment.  One of the most selfish people I've ever met cannot find a home in Heaven unless he repents of his sins before he dies and asks the Lord Jesus to cover them with His perfect blood.

So much is stirring inside of me coupled with the pain in my mouth, I'll just say it's been a long time since I was this miserable.  YET, I know the one who has gotten me through all so far will also get me through this pain and dealing with the approaching death of one of my perpetrators.

Anyway, you know how I love poetry so I went digging for a poem to comfort me.  May this one also comfort those of you who are beyond endurance and who are, like me, clinging to the Master for a reprieve.

I LOVE YOU!!!

PEACE  IN  THE  MIDST  OF  TRIALS
For   Mrs. Billy Ann Gray    By  Dean Beaty  8/25/04

So many things we do not know.
The why of trials through which we go.
And yet to Thee, all things are known.
Someday to me, they will be shown.

Upon Thy palms you’ve scribed my name.
You don’t forget, dust is my frame.
Your loving heart sees to my care
Giving no more than I can bare.

I turn my face unto the wall,
For this alone, on Thee I call.
The strength to trust Thee as I should.
To know all things work out for good.

I dare not ask my life prolong.
Outside Thy will, it would be wrong.
But this one thing Thou givest me.
I have Thy peace, till I’m with Thee.
