Want a Tractor Ride?

Hi everyone,

I know I haven't written much lately but it's been super busy on the farm.  We've been in the midst of planting our crops and have been burning the candle on both ends.  The guys have been working in the fields 14 to 16 hour days and drag in wiped out for supper at 10:00 PM.  Fortunately we're almost done.  The picture above is our seeding equipment.

I'm praising the Lord for the rains He's been sending us.  I've been ignoring the forecasts for drought and declaring that the Lord will send us the rains that our crops need and HE HAS!!  It rained all day yesterday and today it's still sprinkling.  PRAISE THE LORD!!

Our family is doing well other than spring's work weariness.  Our grandchildren are all home schooled and wrapping up their school year.  It's so much fun to hear about the world through their eyes.  This morning my granddaughters called me and said "Grandma, we had 2 puppies, and they're both girls, so mama said we can keep them!"

My grandsons were here when we had our community tea party this week.  Their eyes are full of wonder as they tell me what is coming up in their garden.  They run and run and run down my hallway and laugh and jump on the couch.  They're so alive!

Robert had his 69th birthday yesterday and his party is tomorrow.  I suppose I should get to work making lasagna as it's my most often requested meal for parties.  I grow more in love with him as the years go by and we face the challenges and the joys of life together.

My challenge with MS continues but I'm learning to relax and chill to lessen the pain.  I've worked hard on the farm my whole life and I'm no Spring chicken anymore.  Part of my therapy is playing my piano.  Maybe I'll record myself sometime as I usually practice more in the Winter so I'm better at it after that.  lol  I love hymn arrangements that flow so beautifully.  They sooth my soul while challenging my brain.

The PASSION TRANSLATION of the Bible is such a large blessing as it shows the passion God has for us.  He really loves us!  I am so blessed by their emails too.  They're free and you can sign up for them.  This is the one from today.  His love for us mortals is sooo clear and strong in these words.  I pray that they bless you too!  God says "I want you to love yourself!"

May the Lord bless you as you share His love with those around you.  There is no more wonderful experience than seeing others gain in their understanding of God's immense love for them!!

Have a great weekend,

Dawn

I Hear His Whisper...

I want you to love yourself.

I want you to love yourself—to be absolutely crazy about the you I created. I want you to look in the mirror, see all of the flaws and imperfections, and love yourself anyway. I want you to learn to laugh about your quirks instead of being embarrassed by them and to feel comfortable in your own skin and to remember that it is the home I have chosen for my Holy Spirit. I want you to truly enjoy the person I am perfecting in you.

Until you have fully embraced my love for you and actually believe that I think you’re amazing, you won’t be able to love yourself—not to mention you won’t be able to love others correctly. So first, let the reality of my unrelenting, unstoppable love for you seep in. Lose yourself fully in this awareness. Then, if for no other reason, love yourself because I do. Honor me in this way. Stop being so hard on yourself. If there are changes to be made, we’ll make them together. But first, believe you deserve to be happy, healthy, and whole. Take care of yourself. Let my love for you, combined with your love for yourself, lead you on a journey of wholeness.

You leave me breathless—I am overcome by merely a glance from your worshiping eyes, for you have stolen my heart.
