God spoke to me again through THE PASSION TRANSLATION's email this morning. He has a WONDERFUL plan for our lives! Who would have thought a little girl, raped and beaten through her childhood, would become a wife, mother, and grandmother some day? GOD DID THAT THROUGH ME!
I pray this blesses you, too, as you grasp a little more each day the IMMENSE love that God has for you and your family!

God speaks to us through His holy word and He speaks to us through His prophets. I've been proving this to myself for many years by listening to THE ELIJAH STREAMS.
Barry Wunsch is a dear brother whom I have listened to many times. He brings us words of encouragement and hope that God has spoken to him. Barry is a Canadian so he asks for prayers for his country, too, as he prays for America!
This word is filled to overflowing with direction from the Lord. He IS moving to save His people. He HAS heard our cries of affliction. He knows best about the evil ones who have enslaved us all and how to end their reign of evil. To them, what is coming, will be terrible but to us, God's children, it was be GREAT!!!
Our job is to believe what God has said He will do! That's what is called FAITH.

A Love You Did Not Expect
I woke up this morning, and the heavy weight of the Lord was upon me, so much so, I could hardly move. This happens from time to time, and I am always overwhelmed by the Lord in these moments. As He got my attention, He clearly began to speak to me. So here it is, literally hot off the press:
"Barry, tell My people I know that they have already been through a lot, and that I am well aware of the battle fatigue and the toll that everything has taken on them. Barry, tell My people that they have yet to encounter the fullness of My passionate love for them.
"You have heard it said, 'Vengeance is Mine.' Let Me tell you, that is the truth. Well, let Me tell you today, the world is about to see and know of My love for them in a way they did not expect. Of course, you know that I love you so much that I gave My own Son as a sacrifice for you and your redemption. And you must know that I love you so much that I gave you Holy Spirit. I gave you this to help you, fill you, empower you, comfort you, and enable you to live an extraordinary life with Me.
"The Table Has Been Set"
"Throughout history I have poured out My Spirit in times of revival, touching My people in supernatural ways. Well, let Me tell you today that what I have done in the past is really nothing compared to what I am going to do in this hour. What I am about to release shall be greater than everything in time that you have seen or experienced before.
"The table has been set. The ancient gates are about to be opened up. They will be swung wide open so that I, the King of Glory, can come in! You have never seen anything like it; I can assure you that.
"You have had your meetings in the past and have said, 'The glory is here, the glory is here,' and I have come in a measure, but that is nothing compared to what I am about to release!
"For this outpouring is not going to be controlled or contained in the four walls of any building, structure, or denomination. It will shake and blow through the foundations, walls, and limitations of your denominations and churches as you know them. Churches will be birthed in a day. Churches will be changed in a day. What I am about to release is, in fact, the Great Awakening! What I am releasing is more than revival, it is a great awakening and a reformation—a new era! (Photo via Pexels)
"The days of your self-gratifying meetings are coming to an end. The days of ministries lining their pockets at the expense of My people shall be a thing of the past. It will no longer be about you; it will be about ME! For I am once again releasing the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord throughout the nations.
"There is a spirit of repentance about to be released upon the earth. Men, women, and children will wail and weep on the streets, highways, and byways as I overcome them with My love for them. They will turn and run from their wicked ways. I shall meet with them, hold them, heal them, and restore them. I will pick them up, dust them off, and set them back on the path I have destined for them before they were born.
"This will also be the great and terrible day of the Lord. It will be great for most, and it will be terrible for others. For I am coming, and I am burning away from you all that is not of love's kind in you! It will be glorious for some, and torturous for others that are bound by stubbornness and pride.
"I cannot deny the cries of My children for the bloodshed of the born and unborn. Let it be known, My justice shall be served. It is time for Me to deal with those who shed the innocent blood of My children to maintain the evil, demonic power and agendas from the kingdom of darkness. This is coming to an end! I am going to finish it by My Spirit!
"I Am Breaking the Chains of Slave Masters and Slave Systems"
"Barry, tell My people that, in the same way, it is time that I break the chains of the slave masters off of My people. The systems that they have enslaved you with through money, greed, control, and thirst for power must be dealt with, and redemption and restitution must be made.
"Financial systems as you have known them are going down. The chains are being broken. It is time evil governmental regimes are wiped off the map. The shackles they have held you powerless and hopeless with are coming off, and they shall be held accountable for every evil act, deed, and action to destroy you. "It is time that these evil global structures are stopped, cut off, and wiped out. I am breaking these ancient loop structures once and for all. It is time for My Ecclesia to stand up and take their place and govern in truth, justice, and righteousness for My name's sake. I have a move to make, and it is time for this hand to be played!
"Do Not Be Afraid, You Will See My Abundant Life!"
"Barry, tell My people, do not fear, and do not be afraid with what is coming. For this shaking and great awakening shall expose darkness beyond anything you could have imagined. It just has to be this way.
"For as I overturn the hard ground, every evil and demonic structure and root shall be removed. It is time, once again, to cleanse and heal the land. Once again you shall see life come back to the land—My abundant life!
"Once again you shall sow, reap, and harvest the abundance that I am pouring out in this hour. You will no longer have lack; you will have more than enough for every good work!
"My Body Will Walk in Unity with Me"
"Most of all, My Body will walk in a unity with Me and one another that seems impossible. As you walk together in My love, you shall see the greatest harvest of souls. Sons and daughters, come unto Me, not through religion, but through My love and beloved union with Me!
"You will see nations turn to Me wholeheartedly again. You will see signs, wonders, and miracles as I pour My Spirit out! And you will see My glory cover the earth as the waters cover the sea!"

Robert, Jacob, and I just got back from visiting his girlfriend's family over the weekend. What a precious family they are and what a joy to be their guests!
I was kind of dreading coming home to an empty house, after enjoying their 9 children for a few days, then I read this. "I have not left you on your own to get through the highs and low of this life!" Also, "The greater your weakness, the more room for the Spirit to work!"
So I am weak. So what? He can still use me!!! He can use you for good on this Earth, too, once you realize that He works best IN SPITE OF our weakness. It sure is a mystery, isn't it?
Here's to an adventurous new week of God's power flowing through His people to love the world around us!

When's the last time you received a card in the mail? I'm almost 70 years old and I grew up in a time when people in my church new the power of sending a card. In fact, my father was in charge of sending cards for the church's men's group. My mother sent cards out weekly to people who were hurting or celebrating.
What types of cards were sent to others in my youth? Sympathy cards for sure but also get well cards. My mother and I listened every day to the radio where the "Eureka News" was broadcast. We listened to the reading of those who were in the hospital. If we knew anyone in the hospital, we went to work.
If we had time, we changed our clothes to "Visiting clothes" and we walked the 6 blocks to the hospital. If we had flowers growing, we cut some and put them in a vase to take to the suffering ones in the hospital. If we didn't have time because we were gardening or butchering chickens..., we sent a card in the mail to the person in the hospital. If the radio said the person was discharged, we sent the card to their home. We knew the power of receiving a card when we were down and out and we wanted those in our church or neighborhood to have our support at that time.
Of course there were many happy cards we sent or delivered in person. We mailed birthday cards to family members far away or took them to parties. No "Decent person" would arrive at a party without an appropriate card. There were many companies that sold boxed cards so we just found the right card and got to writing. Graduations, anniversaries, births, confirmations, and, of course, weddings. All events that were important to our friends and acquaintances had cards written in showing our desire to be a part of their big days!
Sympathy cards were, in my opinion, the most important cards to send--and receive. I still have all of the cards my family received when my mother died on April 25, 2009. I also have those sent to our family when my father died on May 3, 2014. Those cards matter to me to this day. I look at them every so often and pray for the sender to be blessed for taking the time to send us encouragement in those darkest of days!
If you can't guess, I'm writing with the hopes that my readers get busy sending cards to those who are hurting. By the time my brother died on April 19, 2017 card giving had waned to the point that I got ONE sympathy card. ONE! ):
I remember about 25 years ago, a couple from our church had a miscarriage. It was announced in church to pray for them on the loss of their first child. I didn't think much about it when I sent them a sympathy card. That's what I do.
About 2 weeks later, the young couple invited us to join them in a meal at their house. We didn't know them that well and I was a little nervous about taking our daughter to their home when they had just lost their child. The warmth coming from them to us took Robert and I both by surprise.
As the evening went on, they DID want to talk about the death of their child and we listened with compassion. Towards the end of our time together, the wife commented that we were the only ones in the entire church who took the time to send them a card. That church had 400 members!!!! We didn't see them after that and later we heard that they left the church. Who would blame them when we were the ONLY ONES who did such a little thing as sending them a card?
There are hurting ones or lonely ones or sad ones all around us. To them, getting a card in the mail might make the difference for them to be able to keep going. If the Lord is nudging you to send someone a care, PLEASE DO IT!! Send a card. It may even save a life!!!
There are several Christian companies who sell boxed cards that are very nice and have Scripture verses in them. Just search online. I am not endorsing the cards mentioned in this article as I have never seen them but I'm sure they will be wonderful if your heart is reaching out to someone with the message that you care about them. The point is to SEND A CARD!

PS. In September of 2023, I was in the hospital for a week. Robert was the only one who visited me and I received zero cards. My daughter sent me flowers, which were very encouraging to me, so yeah flowers work too! ;) However, they died and I have only the memory of them whereas a person can look at a card over and over!
We received a phone call from a grieving spouse who had recently lost her husband to cancer. They had been married over forty years. She mentioned to us that she had received well over one hundred sympathy cards, but she kept one that happened to be a Gracefully Yours sympathy card featuring The Passion Translation.

In a world that often promotes isolation and self-reliance, the body of Christ is designed to be a place where we lean on one another, sharing both our joys and burdens, and comforting the grieving.
“Love empowers us to fulfill the law of the Anointed One as we carry each other’s troubles.”

We can carry each other’s troubles in various ways: through prayer, acts of service, being present, or sharing heartfelt words on a card. These tangible expressions of care are ways we embody the love of Christ and can wonderfully open the door for God’s divine purpose and perfect timing.
“We have become his poetry, a re-created people that will fulfill the destiny he has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill it!”

God desires us to pass along the comfort he has shown us so that others may experience the strength to endure suffering.
“He always comes alongside us to comfort us in every suffering so that we can come alongside those who are in any painful trial. We can bring them this same comfort that God has poured out upon us.”
2 Corinthians 1:4 TPT
One reason we value sending cards is because we know how impactful even a single card can be. A well-written sympathy card can offer comfort and peace, even when you cannot attend a visitation, wake, or funeral. A sympathy card, guided by God’s timing, may arrive or be reread at the precise moment when it can bring the most solace.
