Hi everyone,
I don't have much time as I want to make this wonderful STRAWBERRY COBBLER dessert for supper.
I didn't receive an email from THE PASSION TRANSLATION today so I went to their website. I found this interesting article where they compare passages from several translations. I suppose the Passion translation may not be for you if you memorized passages from a certain translation but I urge you to also read the Passion translation.
I memorized all of my verses in childhood from THE REVISED STANDARD VERSION of the Bible. I still quote them in that format. I just couldn't get into the THEEs and THOUs of the King James Bible. I mean who talks like that?
I know a lot of people who love that version and that's fine. It's just that, when I studied fasting, I learned that King James didn't want the people to have too much power--which can come from fasting--so he had many passages about fasting removed. ); That soured me on that version.
Anyway, the Passion Translation speaks to my heart like no other version has!! I mean, I love my Jewish Bible so that I know how Yeshua would have said Jerusalam--Yarushalaum if my memory serves me correctly. That's probable misspelled but I love to do and say things how Yeshua did. You should have seen the raised eyebrows, though, at Bible study when I read from it. lol
So I found this comparison page on the Passion Translation website. If you're interested in hearing how the different versions speak to your heart, check it out here. comparison/https://www.thepassiontranslation.com/verse-
I'd best get back to cooking but I found a cool song about truth. When Robert and I were young, we belonged to a Sunday School class for young couples. It was called the SALT class and it totally opened my eyes to see the need to weed out lies. Of course, this was on a Sunday morning. :)
Look at this cool song I just found about how following God breaks the lies of satan. May it be so for me and all of my readers today.
Later,
Dawn
