Harvest of Thanks

We rose early this past Sabbath as we were heading over to Alfred, ND for the Church of God 7th Day's annual Harvest of Thanks. This day is one of the highlights of the whole year for us and we were excited. Jacob snapped this of me as we whizzed down the road in my dad's car.
Harvest of Thanks means lots of beautiful Fall decorations scattered both inside and outside of the church building.

A cute, little scarecrow greeted us when we arrived at the entrance.
Here our menfolk were entering the church. Just inside was our dear friend, Tim K, who was greeter for the day. A little further in was his wife, Kimberly, who always makes me smile. Many others were there whom we love and my heart was filled with joy when they said unto me, "Let us go into the house of the Lord!"
People from Fargo; Devil's Lake; my hometown of Eureka, SD; some of us from the Napoleon area and some from other states meet together in Alfred once a year to worship and praise the God of the Bible who blesses us with bounty.
I was just thinking that we have bounty every year of one sort or another, don't we? On the bad crop years, our faith in God's provision grows so our bounty is one of faith. This year we had incredible crops, so I hope that doesn't mean that our faith will be scarce! That certainly is something to be aware of.
In this picture I was trying to get the musicians over in the corner, but only got our friend, Curt. Harvest of Thanks means LOTS of soul-stirring and often toe-tapping music. I'm not sure why these pictures are so dark but I hope that you can still see them.
This is a picture of the pastor of the Alfred church who is our dear friend--Pastor Steve. You ought to hear him sing praises to our Lord ANY Sabbath, but especially on Harvest of Thanks!

The speaker for the weekend was just phenomenal. We weren't able to attend the first 2 messages on Thursday and Friday night but we were told that soon they will be on the website. If you would like to be inspired to walk more closely with the Lord, you can watch for them right along with us at the Alfred website: churchofgodalfred.com

This is a women's trio with 2 of my dear friends in it. Renae in the middle and Kimberly on the right. You may recall seeing us with them a few weeks back when Kimberly was celebrating her son's birthday and we were invited. Anyway, I just LOVE to hear (even better to be a part of) a women's trio! These 3 ladies voices blend together very nicely! They are the praise team which leads the congregation in a few praise choruses each week. We are so happy, though, that hymns are also a steady part of the musical diet at Alfred!
After the morning service, the Alfred church treated us to a feast of feasts. I was so glad that I had picked the noon meal on Sabbath for my reward meal!!! I actually had 2 desserts without any guilt. :)
After lunch was all put away, the time at Alfred that I love the most came up next. Anyone of any age has always been welcome to share their love for the Lord through a song, poem, or skit during the afternoon program.
I sang, "You're the only Jesus," which is a song that totally changed my life years ago when I felt that there was nothing great that I'd ever do for the Lord. Cora recorded it and I believe plans to post it on her computer as soon as it cooperates. One lady came to me afterwards and said, "The spirit of God fell on us as you sang!" WOW. I had hoped to be able to touch hearts with the knowledge that the world is aching for us to share God's love with them. I pray that my song did for others what my pastor did 22 years ago when he shared it with our small congregation in Bismarck. These words, "You're the only Jesus that some may ever know," have haunted me ever since he sang that song. God bless Pastor Ray for piercing through my "Littleness" and helping me to realize that it's a great BIG thing to love others in the name of Jesus. AMEN?
I forgot to mention that Andrew and I sang with the choir in the morning. I love singing in choirs and it brought me great joy that Andrew WANTED to sing along. We sang a song I'd never heard before called, "Crimson Stream." It's words have been flowing through me ever since as I realize that when I am cleansed in the stream of the blood of Christ, I am TRULY clean. WOW!
Many people shared of their musical abilities and their love for the Lord. Here is our friend, Curt with his 4 children. I think that Cora will play their video too if her computer ever cooperates. You absolutely have not lived until you have heard these 4 children sing the praises of our King!

We all laughed when Curt said to the sound man, "Turn the blue mic down." The blue mic was in the hand AND mouth of the youngest of their family and he was having a GOOD TIME--even BEFORE the song began!!!

Man, can this guy play the trombone!!! I told him that I used to play trombone but gave it up to continue studying voice when I went to collage. He laughed and said, "I'll never give up playing this thing." Matt is a wonderful musician AND a wonderful man of God!!!!!

These are the four youngest daughters of our friends, Terry and Cathy with Amber on the piano. We have known these girls since they were little. It's so wonderful to know that they're still praising the Lord on into young adulthood.

Two of my treasures (Cora and Jacob) sat with us while Andrew sat up front with the musicians. He's never done this before, but he had taken along his banjo and thought that he might try his hand at playing backup for any of the songs which seemed to lend themselves to banjo music.
There weren't too many banjo-ish songs, but Andrew seemed to enjoy sitting up by Betty Jo (my dear friend who plays piano over there); Curt (another dear friend who is great on guitar); and Michelle who also plays guitar and is the daughter of my deceased friend, Harris. It's impossible for me to attend Harvest of Thanks and not miss Harris as his smile lit up the whole church that day. HARRIS LOVED HARVEST OF THANKS!!!!!!!!! I STILL MISS HIM SO MUCH AS HE FILLED THE ROLE OF ADOPTED DAD TO ME DURING MY LONG ILLNESS!!
Andrew surprised us by signing up to play a banjo solo. He's such a goof as he told the story about the drunk who told the preacher that the Lord's name was Andy. "Andy," said the preacher, "whatever gave you that idea?" Andrew made his voice drawl out like a drunk (I wonder where he learned that?), "Andy walks with me, Andy talks with me." Everyone laughed and then Andrew concluded the afternoon program with, "I go to the garden alone." I managed to resist not singing the chorus along with him, "And He walks with me and He talks with me." :)

After the program I went in search of my friends, Lyle and Becky. Jacob told me that they had just left so I was disappointed that I hadn't more time to visit with them than when they came in. I was thankful, though, that the Lord answered my prayer for some exercise by bringing me an "Older" woman to walk with. She is my new inspiration, as she is in very good shape, but I kept up with her pretty well. It made me happy to see how much my endurance has improved since I began THE NEW ME DIET a month and a half ago.

We ate a very light supper and then Cora and I helped clean up the kitchen. Robert was visiting with an old friend from Eureka while the boys played football (a first for them). Finally at long last I got to sit down with my dear friend Carla, who is Curt's wife and the mother to those 4 singing cuties.
Carla has been having a long struggle with her health and it was so good to visit with someone who understands how very difficult it is to regain your health after you've been on your deathbed. I love her sooooooooooooooooooooo much. Hang in there, Carla!
As usual, we were the last ones to leave the church. Everyone had gone over to the refinished old schoolhouse except Carla and I and Robert and his dear friend, Elroy. Elroy locked up the door as we left for home. Everyone in the Bornemann family was VERY happy, for the fellowship with those who truly love the Lord is always a joy from morning to night. I was pleased that I had very little pain all day and was even able to go for a walk. We are talking about leaving home at 8:30 in the morning and returning at 9:00 at night. Praise the Lord!

Well, we got home; did chores; ate home made ice cream together; and headed for bed the happiest that we'd been in a long, long time. Thank you, Lord, for the believers at the Church of God 7th Day in Alfred, ND and all who came from far and wide to share in their special day! Thank you, Lord, for making ME a part of your awesome, loving family that is spread out all over the world. Who could ever be sad when they belong to THAT family?
I hope that you all enjoyed reading about the highlights of my day. I hope that you are eager to join us next year in Alfred for their wonderful HARVEST OF THANKS!!!!!!!!!!! Until then, I pray that you'll keep a song in your heart and share God's love with the lonely world all around you.
God bless those who truly love Him,
Dawn

One week until Access

Hi everyone,

I had a wonderfully, incredible day of fellowship at church in Alfred yesterday with all of my special friends! Cora is working on a detailed post of the day, so I'll wait and see what she covers before I spend time on it. As always, my time is limited for all that I desire to accomplish in a day. You can check here for pictures of the day later as I'm sure that Cora won't cover everything in her post. :)

Today I sent out an email to many people that I know inviting them to attend Elizabeth's Access class next week in Bismarck. I decided to include it here for anyone not in my address book who is feeling the Lord urging them to attend. Please read the following invitation and ponder if He is urging you to join me there for class.

I am taking Access again so that I can be ready if the Lord ever tells me that He wants me to be an Access Instructor. One must attend Access 6 times before they can qualify for acceptance into that position--this will be my 4th time through. What's most exciting about it is that some of my friends/clients will be in the class, so I can hardly wait to spend the day with them!!!

I'm heading out to the garden now to hopefully get the potatoes dug. The guys are busy working on a building that they started last Fall so I've been told that I won't get any help from them. We'll see how much Cora and I can get done.

Have a great week!

Dawn

Hello everyone,

Oh what a gloriously, beautiful day it is today! I hope that everyone can be outside enjoying God's creation on such a lovely day!

I'm writing to remind you that one week from today Elizabeth Hanson, my dear friend and Certified BodyTalk Practitioner, will again be teaching her BodyTalk Access class in Bismarck. I plan to attend again as I am going to take the class every chance I get for several reasons. One, you can learn something new every time that you hear information; two, I love spending time with Elizabeth as she is a great teacher and lots of fun to be with; and three, I need to take the class 6 times if I ever hope to teach it myself someday. This will be my forth time, so I'm getting closer.

In Access class you'll learn 6 main techniques which save lots of money and bring immediate healing. You'll learn how to do the cortices technique which links the 2 sides of the brain; switching which helps bring the brain back on track when stress sends it off somewhere else; hydration which you use when a person is dehydrated; body chemistry to strengthen the immune system when bugs are bugging you; reciprocals to get body parts communicating with each other to reduce pain; AND Fast Aid. I have already used the Fast Aid technique once to save a man from carbon monoxide poisoning. I was so happy that I had taken Access class that day!!!!

For more information or to register for the class, go to the International BodyTalk System's website here: bodytalksystem.com. Feel free to read about the Access course there. Once you are ready to register, go to SEMINARS; click BODYTALK ACCESS; click ELIZABETH HANSON under instructors; click BISMARCK, ND under locations. This will allow you to register for the class. Please do this ASAP so that Elizabeth can have enough books on hand for everyone who wants to attend.

The cost for this one day, life-changing course is $100. Class starts at 9:00 AM SHARP and goes to roughly 5:00 to 5:30 depending on how much fun we're all having. If you have taken the course before, the charge as I recall is only $35 for the day. Be sure that you bring your book with you to class, though, as it will help you to look up hand positions etc.

If you are in the Napoleon area and would like to ride up to the class with me in my van, please let me know by responding to this email. Also, if you are coming from the East and would like to carpool, I would be happy to pick you up at the Coffee Cup in Steele around 8:00 that morning.

I urge you to send this email to anyone you know who is living with chronic pain of any sort--physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual. Over the past 3 years, since I began using BodyTalk to balance myself, I have healed on every one of these levels. BodyTalk is gentle with only light tapping on the head and heart to stimulate the brain to make the necessary changes in the energetic network of the body. Our brains are taking in 100,000 bits of information every minute. When we do BodyTalk on ourselves, we are saying to the brain, "I know that you're busy, but would you please make these changes a priority?" It is more than happy to do so and healing comes naturally as a result. It's truly a beautiful experience and I pray that all of you will learn these simple techniques which can make an immense difference in your life and the lives of those you love.

I'm hoping to see as many of you as possible next Sunday in Bismarck. You'll need to hurry, though, as the class is filling up and Elizabeth limits her class to 30 when she has her daughter to help her. What a grand day it will be as we all learn/improve these techniques together. If it is impossible for you to attend this class, please keep it in your prayers so that many people can begin their journey back to wellness as I did in June of 2007 in Elizabeth's Access class.

Thanks for your time in considering this information and in sharing it with any others that you feel led to share it with!

Two Miracles

As Cora has mentioned on her blog, we are pushing hard to get 360 acres harvested; the ground worked; the drill filled with a special mix of cover crop seeds; and then the ground seeded before September 20th--which was yesterday. As Cora mentioned, the rainy weather has caused lots of problems for us as the 20th approached quickly and tensions mounted around here.

Then late last Friday, as I pushed hard to get the 50 acre field disked up for seeding, it started snowing. Yes that's right, I said, "SNOWING". I was so distraught as I knew that this spelled the end of our goal being met. Further, my heart sank as I thought of all of our wonderful tomatoes back home in our garden meeting their end under snowbanks. ):

I called Cora quick (we were working 30 miles away) to check if it was snowing at home too, hoping that it wasn't. When she said that it was, gloom settled on my heart which is unusual for a Friday night. I love Friday nights, as it is the start of the Sabbath, and it is the night that our family feasts on the feast of Sabbath in our freshly cleaned home.

Well, the gloom continued all weekend with the damp weather although the snow melted off quicly. Yesterday morning we all gave up hope with 2 fields left to do the whole process on--there was no way that we would meet our goals. When I was on the phone with one of my clients, though, she encouraged me. She said, "It'll work out somehow, you just wait and see." I wanted to believe her, but it was just too dark for me to see that at the time.

Then we went out to the garden to pick the tomatoes. On Sabbath I had gone to the garden as soon as chores were over and found that the tomatoes were NOT frozen. I will not ever be able to understand how the Lord sent snow but preserved delicate tomatoes. It's nothing short of a miracle! PRAISE GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So yesterday, because it was too wet to combine, Andrew was doing the disking and I had time to work on my harvest. As Cora, Jacob, and I picked the vine-ripened tomatoes, I marveled at the goodness of God to us. I didn't loose my tomatoes after all--certainly He would make a way for us to meet our deadline! I kept praying for Him to move their hearts to give us an extension on the deadline as considerable money is involved.

After we picked the tomatoes, onions, peppers, and the rest of the apples that had fallen off of the trees, I came into the house and called Robert. That was when he told me that he had talked to someone in the NRCS office and that they had given us a FIVE DAY EXTENSION! PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now for the nice weather to proceed with the work. I covet your prayers for this. Also I covet your prayers for my office day today. I have 2 brand new clients coming in PLUS some of my favorite "Old" ones. It'll be a busy day, and I REALLY need to get moving here, but I just HAD to share the 2 miracles that the Lord blessed us with recently. Being a child of God, and experiencing His miracles on a daily basis, is the most wonderful way to live. I HIGHLY recommend it to all. :)

Hugs to all of my faithful friends out there. Please forgive my heavy post last time, but hopefully you can understand better now why my heart was so burdened. I love you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The wages of sin

FOR THE WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH, BUT THE FREE GIFT OF GOD IS ETERNAL LIFE IN CHRIST JESUS!!! Romans 6:23

It's been a long time since I wrote about sin, but every minute there are people who are dying who aren't ready to face God in the judgement. If you have sinned by breaking any of these commandments, then it's time for you to repent.

THOU SHALT HAVE NO OTHER GODS BEFORE ME!

THOU SHALT NOT MAKE UNTO THEE ANY GRAVEN IMAGE!

THOU SHALL NOT TAKE THE NAME OF THE LORD THY GOD IN VAIN!

REMEMBER THE SABBATH DAY TO KEEP IT HOLY!

HONOR THY FATHER AND THY MOTHER!

THOU SHALL NOT KILL!

THOU SHALL NOT STEAL!

THOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY!

THOU SHALL NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS AGAINST THY NEIGHBOR!

THOU SHALL NOT COVET THY NEIGHBORS HOUSE, WIFE... THAT MEANS ANYTHING!

God is merciful and will forgive you for breaking ANY of these commands BUT first you must come before him in humility and ASK Him to forgive you of your sins. No matter which of these you have broken, if you tell Him that you are sorry and that you need His forgiveness, He WILL forgive you. I pray that everyone tonight will take this seriously!

In His service,

Dawn

KRT

And now, at long last, the post that I have been aching to share with you for over a month. If you are still waiting for the rest of the story on Jacob's and my journey to Georgia, you all win the patience award of the century. I've been swamped with all of my garden produce; putting up apples; building LINKS TO HEALING; and pondering starting school. All of these must be priority over blogging. However, it truly has taken lots of patience to wait until I had time to post about KRT, so perhaps my patience is starting to grow too!

PLEASE--I urge all of you to go to the Kelly Research Technologies website here: (kellyresearchtech.com) and learn a bit about radionics from the people who make the very best radionics machines anywhere. Our days in the classroom (taught by a non-KRT employee) convinced me that the Lord had brought us to the best when he brought us to KRT.

I must say here that this technology has not come to us without cost. Radionics is about 100 years old, but who of you have heard of it before? The reason for the lack of public information about it is that the information has been purposely kept from the people by those who do not want us to be well.

ARE YOU SHOCKED? I didn't think that I was shocked by it until our instructor told us that, about 30 years ago, 5 of his 6 best friends (fellow radionics operators) were KILLED by these people. He, himself, has been shot at 3 times. Once he had his grandson along with him and he took a bullet in his shoulder which, "Made me mad."

For these reasons, I am not posting pictures of our instructor. He specifically asked me not to. However I do have permission to show the following pictures that I took while taking class at the
dome. My children asked me if I am afraid to post my picture like this but I told them, "NO!" Here's the reason why.

To be sure, I haven't had the men in black suits visit my house or shoot at me. However, I know that fear is the poison which kept me in a helpless victim's role most of my life. Fear is what cripples all of us from standing up for the Lord for which He will be ashamed of us some day too.

No, the Lord has called me to be a healer amongst the people's of the earth. He took me safely to the dome and He will keep me safe all the days of my life. If it is His purpose that someone shoot me into eternity, then so be it! At least I will know that I didn't cower in fear instead of sharing the good news of God's healing ways with everyone who will listen. So onward we go, besides nobody has had any problems for 30 years or so. I do pray protection on KRT and our instructor and fellow radionics operators daily and I would covet your prayers for this as well!

This is one-forth of the library in the conference room at the dome. It was the most fascinating library I have ever seen. Interspersed between the books were old radionics machines--ancient relics of the men who risked their lives to bring us this wonderful healing modality.
This is the machine that I worked on during the 3 days of class. We were in class from 9:00 to 11:40 AM; 1:00 to 5:30 PM; and 7:00 to 9:30 PM for 2 days and the third day was the same except that the last night we had a picnic over at the Inn for the family of the secretary/receptionist/answer everybody's question lady. I'm not sure if she would want her picture posted here or not, so I'll hold off on that until I have her permission.
Jacob was up in the office on our last day of class, making arrangements for our flight back home the following day. He looked down from the second story loft and snapped this picture of me. I felt so much better about myself now that I finally had mastered the operation of a radionics machine.

This picture was taken on the last day of class. The owner of KRT gave us all a little lecture on our terminology should we choose to work with the public. He had 3 big words written on the white board when we entered the room. As he spoke, he scratched them all out and explained that we have no desire to use the terminology that the system uses as the 2 concepts are not the least bit similar.
Mr. K said as he scratched out the word TREAT, "We do NOT treat anything with a radionics machine. We BALANCE things with radionics machines."
Then he scractched out the word, DIAGNOSE and said, "We do not diagnose any illnesses with a radionics machine. We ANALYZE where the energy levels are weak."
Then he scratched out the word, CURE and said very firmly, "Lastly we must all remember that nobody in here can cure anything. We use radionics machines to analyze where the energy levels are weak; to balance the levels to the rest of the being; and then they heal on their own."
WOW--I THOUGHT THAT I WAS IN A BODYTALK CLASS!!!!!!!! It made me very happy to see how the 2 modalities ARE compatible!

This is the workroom at KRT. I encourage everyone who just happens to be in GA to look up KRT at the dome. I have never been so overcome with the sensation of being surrounded by genius as I was during those 3 days at the dome. Although we got the tour of the place, I still don't have a clue how a radionics machine works--but then I can say the same thing about my new washing machine.
I'm just so very thankful that this technology HAS been preserved through many difficult years by men with great courage. I can do no less than offer you all the same hope that they offered to their peers. Give radionics a try--you'll never know how much it can help you unless you give it a try. If you would like more information, feel free to leave a comment here and I'll do my best to answer your questions.
Best get to work. I have a BT session tonight and then the group BT session by Eli and much to do in between. I just want you all to know that I AM doing well here. I am balancing myself daily with my new radionics machine and my strength is improving as I deal with things that I don't have the time to tap out through BT. I praise God for this new tool in my toolbox for as my BodyTalk instructor often says, "You need as many tools in your toolbox as you can possibly find. Then you'll be able to help more and more people to get well every year." I'M FOR THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Keep watching for news here about my new diet. Who knows when I'll find time to write about that but, oh well, I guess I'll share the website now. I just celebrated my one month anniversary on the NEW ME diet and I feel better than I have in years. Here's the link to the site:metaboliceffect.com. I think that you'll find any time spent there worthwhile!
I'm not sharing how many inches that I've lost this past month, as there are just some things that a lady won't share, but I can say that I was shocked how many times I caught myself thinking, "I truly like my body! It is responding to this diet so incredibly." HOW EXCITING!
Blessings,
Dawn

Pretty lady

That Sabbath, July 31st of 2010, was an unforgettable day for Jacob and I. I'm sorry that I have no pictures from throughout the day, but the memories are vivid and so I shall do my best to paint the pictures with my words. These two pictures are of Jacob and I at the END of that very eventful Sabbath. He was exhausted and I, for once, had more enthusiasm than he did......

but that's because I got told that I am a pretty lady. WOW--I can't ever recall being told THAT before. But I'm getting ahead of myself again.

First of all, I slept like a log until Jacob wakened me at almost 9:30. I was very glad that I woke up then as our wonderful hostess, Gloria, knocked on our door a little bit later. She said, "I have some good news for you. You said that you were concerned about getting back and forth to your classroom. Well, the people next door from you are also going there today. They just got back from there and said that there is a shortcut. They said that they'd be happy to show you the way over there this afternoon. Here are their cell phone numbers," and she was gone.

The night before, on our way to the Inn, Jacob and I had hunted out the location of KRT and I WAS discouraged. How on earth would we ever get home on time for lunch when it took almost half an hour to drive back to the Inn? Leave it to the Lord to make a way to solve that problem too.
When I called the numbers, though, neither one answered. That's why I was very happy when a knock came soon afterwards. A very nice farmer was on the other side of the door and Jacob and I liked him at once. Mr. H. from Iowa turned out to be a kindred spirit and someone that we both enjoyed visiting with more than once that day. "I'd be happy to show you two the way over to KRT right after lunch," he said and we both breathed a sigh of relief.
Well, with that all arranged, Jacob went out on an expotition of the Inn property (you'll have to watch Pooh if you think that I spelled that wrong). I went in and soaked for a couple of hours and totally unwound from the day before. We ate quickly then and I felt absolutely wonderful when Mr. H picked us up around 12:30 to head over to KRT.
Jacob was like a kid at Christmas. He was wired and did his best to contain his excitement. HE WAS GOING TO KELLY RESEARCH TECHNOLOGIES AND HE WAS EXCITED!!!!! I was delighted to see how easy it was to take "Old" 441 through scenic downtown LakeMont and we arrived at KRT in about 20 minutes. By the end of the week there, I got it down to 14 minutes as I learned to relax and close my eyes around the curves. (Just checking to see if you're REALLY paying attention.)
We parked our car and Jacob was almost in shock. As he realized that we were going inside the dome that he'd read so much about, a hush came over my son. He didn't say much so I just visited with the H. from Iowa family who were happy to lead us into the dome having been there in the morning for their BETAR rides.
Once inside the dome, Jacob came back to life. Cathie, the receptionist there, came forward and welcomed us warmly and I felt at home instantly-- it didn't take long for us to realize that these were our kind of people!!!! Cathie pointed out that they had a book sale going on and that all of those books to the left were on sale for $5.
Jacob and I were totally gone for the next half hour as we perused the wonderful bargains--5 of which now sit on our bookshelves although we didn't pay for them until after Sabbath. I told Jacob that we would only look now but Cathie said that, if we wanted any of the books, we'd better grab them now or they'd most likely be gone. So grab we did.
Then Ed came walking into the room and Jacob and I were both drawn to him instantly. Ed's energy level is just awesome and his smile is winning, but even more profound, his laugh fills the soul with laughter. May the world be filled to overflowing with men like Ed who know who they are and why they are here. "We are here to serve the world," is etched all over Ed and, in that regard, he reminds me of none other than Christ. We were instantly friends with Ed and shall be forever more! Watch future posts for pictures of this awesome man who is the son of an awesome man!
Ed took us into the conference room/library and we were enthralled. Jacob was instantly intrigued by the machine that Ed had been "Playing around with" which showed each individual's energy pattern. It was fun to see what happened when I put my hand into the scanner along with Jacob's. It made a beautiful pattern which gave other families there ideas...
The dome is a place to explore ideas! It was filled with old radionics machines which revealed the first ideas that people had about radionics over a hundred years ago. One whole wall in the large room was FILLED with books on all topics of interest to a questioning mind. It was just the right location for a class on radionics and were we ever excited to be there.
After looking over the display of KRT products that were for sale and listening to "More' experienced" radionics operators share their insights on how best to use our machine, Ed made us an offer that we couldn't refuse. He looked at me and said, "How about a ride on the BETAR machine?" Jacob grabbed my arm and up the steps we went. He's the one who had been reading about BETAR rides on the website and HE was READY to watch Ed set up my ride.
For information on what a BETAR ride is all about, I urge you to go to the KRT website here:
www.kellyresearchtech.com/betar.html. I will simply say that it is a type of healing that is unforgettable as the music actually stimulates parts of your body that need to be stimulated and soothes parts of your body that need to be soothed. I just KNOW that someday I will own one of these machines in my future health care center. That statement is what is called a HUGE leap of faith, as they cost almost $40,000, but still I do have a GREAT desire to share this technology with the entire MidWest--or at least everyone in North Dakota. The healing is unforgettable!!!
Shortly after this, the instructor of our radionics beginner's class came in and some of us class members and he got into a deep discussion about the state of the nation. Except for the knowledge that God has given to me through BodyTalk, and now radionics, I would be discouraged about how things "SEEM" to be right now. Now I see that every negative thought that I ever had were only negative thoughts.
What IS a thought? It is merely something that a breath can expel when taught how to do so through BodyTalk classes. And yet thoughts keep people prisoners in bodies they hate doing jobs they hate with hatred being the common theme here. WHY HATE WHEN LOVE IS SO MUCH STRONGER AND BETTER IN EVERY WAY??????????
Well, as Elizabeth would say, "I digress." To make a long story short, we LOVED our time at the dome. However, I had promised Jacob that I would take him to see a Krone dealer as it was only 30 miles away in nearby South Carolina. I will not tell you a thing about that aspect of our journey, as it is strictly Jacob's story.
However, when the Krone dealership proved an immense disappointment to my son, I decided to do what any mom does when a child is discouraged--I TOOK HIM OUT FOR ICE CREAM!!!
Now, there in a strange sounding named town in South Carolina, I learned something that I've wondered about all of my adult life. I learned that I am a pretty lady!!! Now, don't you go off laughing without listening to my explanation--PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!
In this ice cream parlor which proved to make up for it's lack of size or appearance, the owner's friendliness was a nice boost to Jacob's and my moral. He scooped me a great big bowl full of wonderful tasting Maple Nut ice cream while Jacob visited with his good-old Southern buddy. Then Jacob ordered a cone with Super Cow and all 4 of us yapped for about half an hour.
We had extra time, what with the implement dealership not taking long to explore, so we just settled in there for a nice little rest. We told the men that we were from North Dakota and we talked about their life there. He mentioned that it'd probably be best not to stop anywhere along the road until we got home. He said, "The hill people haven't changed much since I was a kid. Sure, they show up in church on Sunday mornings, but I wouldn't advise poking into their business any other time of the week as they usually have their rifles ready and aren't afraid to use them."
I thought about the nice man who had given us directions on the way down there and praised the Lord for leading us to a friendly place. Well, the day was waning and with that little bit of uneasiness hanging over my head, I decided that it was best to head back to the Inn.
I asked the big fellow if I might have a glass of water to wash down my ice cream. When he went to the cooler to get me a bottle water, I protested saying, "No, I don't want to buy any--I have some water out in the car."
He looked very gentlemanly and said, "Well, I wasn't going to charge you for this. You're a pretty lady--it's on the house."
Then I REALLY protested, not wanting to be owing him anything. Seeing my concerns, he threw back his head and filled the room with his big laughter. He said, "Well there, lady, we're supposed to do good to others so that we can receive a blessing, you know," as he nudged the water bottle towards me.
I still can't believe that I did this but it just flowed out of me. I took one of his monstrous hands in both of mine and then I said, "OK, then I'm going to give you a blessing." I bowed my head and prayed a blessing on the man and on his business and on his family. When I looked up, he was stunned and had tears in his eyes. I told him, "That's for real, you know."
"Th-th-THANK YOU!" he muttered and then it was my turn to laugh fully. And so we had church there that day. The big fellow had blessed me with a bottle of water, for which he received a blessing. He didn't know, though, that he'd given me the bigger blessing for all the way homeward, I kept hearing his words spoken sincerely with no obligation of any sort whatsoever, "Why, you're a pretty lady!" It still makes me smile even now and I can imagine that it will do so for the rest of my life.
I told Robert later that night that I had to go all of the way to South Carolina to learn that I'm a pretty lady. He said, "Well then, it was a trip well worth it. Maybe you'll believe me now." It made me wonder how many times he had tried over the years to get me to hear his praises but my negative thinking wouldn't let his appreciation get through my negative filters. I leave you with that thought to ponder.
We made it back to the Inn just before dark and ate our supper quietly. Then, when we thought that our day could no longer hold anymore excitement, we heard a knock at our door. It was Mr. H from Iowa. "May I come in and talk radionics with you? I'm here with my wife, daughter, and granddaughter and they're sick of hearing about it."
We laughed; opened the door; and welcomed him into our living room. For the next 2 hours this wonderful farmer shared with us what he'd been learning with his machine during the past 3 years. He wet our appetite to take the class so that late that night, when we bade him farewell under the Georgia pines, we could hardly wait to get to class. The only sad part about the whole day is that he wasn't going to be in our class. As he explained, "I've taken the beginner class 3 times and the advance class twice. No, I"m not here to take the class but I just couldn't miss the chance to visit the dome on the way to the ocean."
And so it was that God brought wonderful men into my life that day. There 1,500 miles from home, I felt perfectly safe under the protection of my loving Heavenly Father. And now as I close, the words come to mind that I spoke with Frank on the plane down to Atlanta. I had asked him, "Are you saying that I need to get over this fear of flying so that God can use me more?"
Frank, very bluntly had stared me into the eyeballs and said firmly, "I'm saying that you need to be willing to do ANYTHING that God asks you to do!"
HE WAS RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Home away from home

This is the first thing that I saw when Gloria opened the door to show us our home away from home on Friday night, July 30th. I spent quite a bit of time in this kitchenette and enjoyed every minute here, except for one.

You may recall that, before Jacob and I went outside to explore our surroundings, I had put a frozen cheese pizza (with smoked turkey that I'd cut on top of it) into the cute, little oven of "My" kitchen. Well, you must imagine my surprise when I looked at it 40 minutes later. To be honest, I happen to like things a bit on the burnt side, but even I was dismayed by what I saw.

The whole thing was VERY dried up and VERY dark and not one bit appetizing. Jacob, the good sport that he is, though, said, "Ah come on and let's eat it. I don't want to wait another 40 minutes." So we chomped on the thing quite awhile and talked over the day's excitement.

As it turned out, it was a good thing that we didn't decide to try our hand at another one because the results would have been the same. You see, the next morning while Jacob was snooping through the cupboards for a can opener, he found a note which read, "Oven runs 60 degrees higher than the control knob indicates--use the thermometer in the oven instead."

OOPS!!! I had seen that thermometer but just pushed it to the back of the oven when I was sliding the pizza into it. SIXTY DEGREES OFF!!!!!!! Now if it was MY oven, I think that I would have taped that note on the silly thing for people who don't go snooping through all of the drawers before using the oven. :)

Well, this was my kitchen for 6 days and Jacob and I have lots of fond memories of preparing our meals here.

This was half of the living room. It had everything that anyone could want by way of comforts. The only thing that it lacked, as far as I'm concerned, is a piano. Can you believe that I went 6 whole days without playing piano? Oh well, we were busy all the time anyway.

This was my bedroom. I know that we're not supposed to love things but I greatly admired that sweet, little corner table with the lamp on it. WOW--was that ever a lovely piece of furniture! I had the windows open every moment that I possibly could and the scent of pine filled the place--it was just awesome.

There was an adjoining bathroom where I soaked for hours. I made herbal teas to help my body deal with jet lag and tired neck after 9 hours of class every day. I have a special muslin bag where I put the herbs in. As the tub fills, all you have to do is tie the bag to the buthtub spout and as the hot water runs through the herbs, it makes a bathtub size herbal tea. I used alfalfa, the mints, and chamomile depending on which one I was needing most as determined through biofeedback.

Jacob met this young man shortly after we moved in. His name was Logan and he made life interesting for all of us. Here he was telling me that he and Jacob were going on a bear hunt. I told Jacob that I wanted him to find a stick to take along too in case they ended up face to face with a bear on the Chisholm Trail which Grandpa Larry had designed for the daring of heart.
This picture I took right outside of our kitchen window so the playground was close by to our place but alas, my little boy was not even interested. :)

Now, checking for Wi-Fi connections IS something that Jacob was interested in. The owner, Gloria, had said that sometimes it didn't come in very well down in the lower rooms and she was right. It didn't matter, though, as by the next day, Andrew's laptop had quit on us due to the heat. That's a long story that you'd do best to ask Andrew or Jacob about. The point here is that we didn't have Internet connection and had to bug the people at KRT so that we could check our emails from time to time. They are such wonderful people and didn't mind at all! :)

Well, shortly after we'd gummed through the tough pizza, we went up to the parking lot and called home. It was a short call, though, as we were both pretty tired. Jacob and I did sit on this couch and have a short prayer time together and then we both crawled into our beds.
I think that is the most tired that I can ever recall being. We had been on the move for 18 hours and I know that I didn't spend time analyzing how I liked the bed. The next thing I knew, Jacob was knocking on my door.
When I peeled open my eyes, there was light shining behind the heavy drapes. Jacob said softly, "Mom. MOM--it's time to get up. It's 9:30 already." WOW--I had slept wonderfully there at the Inn under the huge evergreens as the waterfall gushed by our new home.
Leave it to youth--Jacob was up; dressed for Sabbath; and ready to go for a romp in the woods. Of course he didn't like it much when I told him that I wouldn't take him over to KRT if he didn't shower first. He got dressed twice that morning but, with an exciting day as that one turned out to be, I guess getting dressed twice made it just all that more unusual. More on that special Sabbath later!
Best get back to these apples,
Dawn
