Permission
Praise God--I am FINALLY gaining on this bug! I started gargling with warm salt water yesterday, as one of my clients had suggested, and it helped SO much! I also bought THE best probiotic that Terry's had yesterday.
I can't ever recall asking for THE best anything and then actually buying it--how could I ever think that I deserved it???? My friend, Renee, spent a few minutes going over all of the available probiotics. She said, "80% of our immune system depends on the gut having adequate probiotics. Everyone should take ONE of these a day and our nation's health would improve dramatically." I decided to take her advice, as the probiotic that I'm currently taking doesn't seem to be doing all that much, so I started this morning. Can you believe that I'm spending a dollar a day on probiotics?? OH MY!
Here is the next section of the national delegate selection at the GOP last weekend in Bismarck. Notice how he says, "We've given you our permission long enough." It's like they OWN the party and we, as little children to their parents, must have their permission to ask for a fair election process!!!
This kind of control has gone on long enough! If you are getting tired of having no affect in the legislative process, then I urge you to get involved earlier in the process and help pick true patriots to represent you.
When the Patriots are 51% of the party, THEN we will make things fair for all. I don't care if Romney gets 20% of the votes at the national convention, as that's roughly what he got in the caucus. However, I must ask you to ponder why he should have 90% of the votes when Santorum won 40% of the votes and Ron Paul roughly 30%. Is this fair? Should a few people at the top of the North Dakota GOP decide who will go to the national convention and cast their votes for the next President???????????????????
Please listen to this whole event and then get involved in the process so that we have the numbers to turn things around in 2 years. Like Cora says, the revolution began with Ron Paul running for President and it just keeps growing. Praise God that HE has given us our rights to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. These are given to us by GOD--what right does the North Dakota Republican committee have to take them away?

OK--I give
I smugly answered, "As many as it takes until I find the one that works!"
Anyone who has read here for any length of time knows how I struggle with getting off this excess weight. Between miscarriages, cancer, and the lenghthy illness with shingles on my brain, I have been forced to be sedentary much of the time this past decade. One still must eat to keep living--that IS the idea you know.
Then, when eating was one of the few things that I did as a child that pleased my mother, I ate to comfort myself as she taught me to do. I know that there are probably people reading this who will snoot me off and say, "Excuses, excuses. All you have to do is eat less and you will lose weight."
Well, I've tried that too. I've fasted and cleansed and lost weight and put it back on again. Every natural thing that I could find, I tried and still there was something that kept me fat. Now, thanks to my dear friend, Sarah, I just may have discovered what that something is.
I called Sarah earlier this week to see if she'd like Cora's help with the children/housework for a few days. Would she! Well, I love talking to Sarah as she is an avid reader who is always searching for the answers to her health challenges just like I do. This time she had some VERY good news to share.
"What's new, Sarah?" I asked.
"Well, I lost 50 pounds since the baby was born," she replied!
Then she had my full attention. Sarah proceeded to tell me about a supplement that supplies the body with iodine for those who are suffering from hypothyroidism. Now, I was tested for that I don't know how many times but, as I learned at the following website, doctor's tests are far from precise enough to detect this problem.
Sarah explained that we live in the goiter belt of the nation. This means that we aren't near enough to the coast to benefit from sea breezes that supply iodine from the salt in the sea water. Goiter is the extreme lack of iodine but many people have health challenges much sooner than the goiter stage.
As Sarah talked about sea breezes wafting in the iodine rich air, I recalled feeling absolutely fantastic when I was breathing the air out in CA last Fall. I told Sarah that the day after our flight, when I thought I'd be recouping from jet lag, we walked 8 miles. I felt so strong in that air that I didn't want to leave the shoreline of the San Francisco Bay. Could it be it was the iodine in the air that was making me so strong?
To summarize, so that I can prepare for Sabbath here, I did order the product that she took which is called, 'Iodoral" and it came quickly. I started taking it 2 days ago and am waiting to feel the affects. I'm assuming that I'm VERY depleted as I haven't felt any difference yet.
You can read about Iodoral at this website:iHerb.com. I decided to stick with this product as it is the one that Sarah lost 50 pounds in 4 months with. However, I was also led to read on this website:
http://www.1-thyroid.com/lowthyroid.htm In fact, I was so encouraged by what I read here that perhaps I truly have found the underlying physical answer (not the emotional ones that I've been working on with BT) to my weight issues. I took their test to see if hypothyroidism is my problem. Goodness, if you score over 70 it's a BIG problem and I had a 137.
I urge everyone to go to the link above and scroll half way down the page. There's a section called, "Am I thyroid deficient?" Click on, "Online analysis," then on, "Low thyroid symptoms." Check off every symptom that you're experiencing and the computer will tally it for you.
So there I spilled the beans. I wasn't going to until I could show you a nice AFTER picture of my new slim body. However, the reason that I have this blog is to share the things I learn so that you can get started ASAP too. Perhaps you will get nice and thin right along with me? WOULDN'T THAT BE WONDERFUL???????????????????
Blessings to all you who keep turning to nature (God) for the answers. Keep searching for them! It may take awhile to find the key to the your particular lock but we read in Scripture, "Ask and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock, and the door shall be opened unto you." Mathew 7:7
God has a unique healing journey for each one of us. I get to witness this every day and it is so fascinating! I just love it! God is trying to teach us things each time we have a health challenge. He is trying to draw us closer to Him through our difficulties of all types. All He wants is to have a relationship with us. CAN YOU IMAGINE THIS? God, who made Heaven and Earth wants to be YOUR friend!!! Is it time for YOU to open the door of your heart and let Him come in and be your best friend ever? He is waiting for you to let Him into your life. Why keep God waiting a second longer??????????????????
Come to the Lord all who are weary and heavy laden and HE will give you rest.
Blessed Sabbath rest to all God's children,
Dawn
PS. I decided to include the questionnaire here for those of who need a little push to take the online test. There's no charge, and it could change your life, so I urge you to go for it! Just a reminder, taking the "Test" here will not get you any feedback from the company. Use the link above for this.
PPS. Did I ever mention that my hair is falling out a lot this past year? How I pray that this is the missing link in my health care regimen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Online Questionnaire for Thyroid Function (Hypothyroidism)
The following are some of the major symptoms and signs associated with an under active thyroid. Some symptoms are more significant than others. Read each line carefully. Click the box next to the symptom if it applies to you. Your score will be tallied up below.- 0 – 9 Unlikely you are hypothyroid

Need to sooth your nerves?
Sabbath was blissfully peaceful--aaaaaaaaaah! I slept almost all afternoon and it felt wonderful!!!!!!!
Recently I was telling my cousin, Kristi, about my little popper that I bought in Georgia last Summer. Being my goal for this blog is to share what health nuggets I find, I decided that I would share info about it here. It was marketed as good for all kinds of bites--from mosquito bites to RATTLESNAKE bites. I'm serious.
Although it works great on bites, I've used it mostly this past year for stiff joints and sore muscles. Already in class last year I had got to thinking that, if it works for inflammation from bites, why wouldn't it work for inflammation from other causes. It really does take the pain out of overworked muscles or "Older" joints.
Now, you recall that I was led to use L-Lysine for the nerve damage in my foot from the recent tumor living there for 2 months. Well, a few days after I wrote last time, I saw my popper sitting on my dresser and got to wondering what would happen if I were to pop my foot with it. Would it help to get the nerve growth stimulated? Would it help to take out the inflammation in my poor nerve endings in that foot?
Well, I am very happy to report that it does WONDERS on the nerve damage! In fact it does an even better job of stopping that infuriating tingling/burning/throbbing than the L-Lysine does! I'm still taking the L-Lysine too, of course, as I prefer to slam a nasty pain with as many hammers as I have at my disposal.
On Friday I was hanging up some of the boy's shirts and laid it on Andrew's dresser. I forgot it there and all Friday night I was in agony and ended up on pain killers. Saturday morning Andrew brought it to me and I almost kissed him--I said almost as he is DEFINITELY opposed to that since he was age 11.
Anyway, here is a picture of the simple gadget that can pack such a wallop to damaged nerves. In a way, it doesn't seem to make sense why a small electrical charge would calm down overactive nerves and I'm not claiming to understand WHY it works--I'm just saying that it DOES work.
As always, I think of the shingles patients who suffer so terribly from a pain that is very hard to explain and even harder to bear. I recall my medical doctor friend telling me 5 years ago, when I had shingles on my brain, that many people commit suicide from the never ending torture of post (after)
herpatic (herpes virus) neuralgia (nerve damage) which is the result of shingles.
If you know of someone who is suffering from the after affects of shingles, perhaps they'd like to try one of these little poppers on their nerve damaged area? Certainly I would urge you to pray about this to see if God is urging you/them to give this a try. Certainly I cannot prescribe this for anyone as I am NOT a doctor. However, I am feeling the Lord urging me to share this so there must be somebody out there in cyberspace who is intended to read this message.
Just post a comment here (which I won't share with others) and I'll tell you how to get a hold of one of these little miracle workers. No, I do not carry them but I feel safe in endorsing them to all who have had nerve damage of any kind based on how much mine has helped me recently. Here's what it looks like. The price is nearly nothing for the punch it can give.
By the way, I do realize that I am horribly behind with my posting, but I'll catch up. I told the children this morning that this time of year always seems like such a dessert to me with nothing but massive amounts of work staring me in the face. Prairie Days and the 4th of July are over with and there's nothing to look forward to until Harvest of Thanks. Can you hear the sanguine in me, here? Oh how I love to be with others!!!! I replay in my mind words, smiles, deep conversations, or hugs shared with those I love during the lonely hours and, as always, seek solace with my Heavenly Father or at the piano. Still, I miss you sooo much today!!!!!!!!!!!
Have a great week everyone and, if you think of me, please keep me in your prayers for a TOTAL healing!

Home away from home
You may recall that, before Jacob and I went outside to explore our surroundings, I had put a frozen cheese pizza (with smoked turkey that I'd cut on top of it) into the cute, little oven of "My" kitchen. Well, you must imagine my surprise when I looked at it 40 minutes later. To be honest, I happen to like things a bit on the burnt side, but even I was dismayed by what I saw.
The whole thing was VERY dried up and VERY dark and not one bit appetizing. Jacob, the good sport that he is, though, said, "Ah come on and let's eat it. I don't want to wait another 40 minutes." So we chomped on the thing quite awhile and talked over the day's excitement.
As it turned out, it was a good thing that we didn't decide to try our hand at another one because the results would have been the same. You see, the next morning while Jacob was snooping through the cupboards for a can opener, he found a note which read, "Oven runs 60 degrees higher than the control knob indicates--use the thermometer in the oven instead."
OOPS!!! I had seen that thermometer but just pushed it to the back of the oven when I was sliding the pizza into it. SIXTY DEGREES OFF!!!!!!! Now if it was MY oven, I think that I would have taped that note on the silly thing for people who don't go snooping through all of the drawers before using the oven. :)
Well, this was my kitchen for 6 days and Jacob and I have lots of fond memories of preparing our meals here.
This was half of the living room. It had everything that anyone could want by way of comforts. The only thing that it lacked, as far as I'm concerned, is a piano. Can you believe that I went 6 whole days without playing piano? Oh well, we were busy all the time anyway.
This was my bedroom. I know that we're not supposed to love things but I greatly admired that sweet, little corner table with the lamp on it. WOW--was that ever a lovely piece of furniture! I had the windows open every moment that I possibly could and the scent of pine filled the place--it was just awesome.
There was an adjoining bathroom where I soaked for hours. I made herbal teas to help my body deal with jet lag and tired neck after 9 hours of class every day. I have a special muslin bag where I put the herbs in. As the tub fills, all you have to do is tie the bag to the buthtub spout and as the hot water runs through the herbs, it makes a bathtub size herbal tea. I used alfalfa, the mints, and chamomile depending on which one I was needing most as determined through biofeedback.
Jacob met this young man shortly after we moved in. His name was Logan and he made life interesting for all of us. Here he was telling me that he and Jacob were going on a bear hunt. I told Jacob that I wanted him to find a stick to take along too in case they ended up face to face with a bear on the Chisholm Trail which Grandpa Larry had designed for the daring of heart.
Now, checking for Wi-Fi connections IS something that Jacob was interested in. The owner, Gloria, had said that sometimes it didn't come in very well down in the lower rooms and she was right. It didn't matter, though, as by the next day, Andrew's laptop had quit on us due to the heat. That's a long story that you'd do best to ask Andrew or Jacob about. The point here is that we didn't have Internet connection and had to bug the people at KRT so that we could check our emails from time to time. They are such wonderful people and didn't mind at all! :)
Well, shortly after we'd gummed through the tough pizza, we went up to the parking lot and called home. It was a short call, though, as we were both pretty tired. Jacob and I did sit on this couch and have a short prayer time together and then we both crawled into our beds.

Day 1 continued/flight to Minneapolis
This pretty lady was my very first stewardess. This isn't a very good picture of her, as she was very pleasant and had a gorgeous smile--not like a couple of grumps that we got later on during our journey. She made sure that everyone found their way to their seats and had their possessions in the right location above or beneat the seats. Then she closed the storage compartments above the seats to prepare for the flight and ran through the safety precautions of what to do if there should happen to be a crash. YIPES!
This is how I looked before the plane left the ground. I was so excited for Jacob to be getting his dream-come-true trip that I was sure that everything would work out fine. I took this myself so it looks kind of goofy. I would have preferred Jacob to take it, but he was off on Cloud Nine!
Once again I need to mention that my camera wasn't working very well because some how or other the flash got turned off. Most of the pictures that I took on the first day had to be deleted because when we were moving they were totally fuzzed. I couldn't stand deleting ALL of them, though, so you'll just need to put up with the blurr.
Jacob is one cool cucumber. His enthusiasm carried me through the whole trip! One time on this flight, though, I was a little worried about him when he closed his shade and turned towards me for a swallow of my lemon water. It didn't take him long, though, and he was back to cloud gazing--from the top down. This whole thing was a dream come true for my 14 year old son!
FINALLY we felt the wheels of our plane touch ground about an hour and a half later. This is a picture of the part of the Minneapolis airport where we landed. As you can see, there was a light mist on the windows which didn't exactly match with the sunny forecast for the Minneapolis area that they were displaying in the Bismarck airport.

How can I say, "Thanks?"
My brain started to pull together a bit and I relaxed on the couch for a few hours. Then, about 1:00 AM, I woke up in terrible pain and realized that I had forgotten to take my pain meds for the tooth extraction. Just walking was painful, but I forced myself to take one step at a time over to the counter to get my "FIX". My head was still swollen so I did Fast Aid to the mouth and all of the reciprocals that are on the head. I slept a little then until 3:30 when I woke up dying of thirst.
I noticed, as I went to the sink for some water, that my head wasn't quite as swollen as it had been before at 1:00. I thought, "Thanks for the Reiki, Elizabeth," and I praised the Lord for a friend who knew how to help someone even in critical situations. I slept until 6:30 then--WOW.
I even went out to the barn this morning, as Cora needed extra sleep before she went in for Day 3 of her training. I was VERY weak and woozy but VERY glad that the swelling was going down in my head.
After chores this morning, I found an email which Elizabeth had written late last night--or I should say, "Early this morning." That was when I understood why my head had gotten worse yesterday instead of better like I had expected. I was reacting to something that was in the injection that they used to deaden my mouth. That's why my whole head was swelling up and I needed Body Chemistry to that chemical plus a lot of cortices.
You KNOW someone is a true friend when they do a session for you in the middle of the night after a busy day. May God richly bless my friend and fellow BodyTalker, Elizabeth Hanson!
Now I am even MORE committed to continue learning all of the techniques that Elizabeth knows so that I can help people in EVERY situation that comes along. I press on to the mark of the high calling in Christ Jesus.
As Sabbath draws on, I rejoice that my head is far less swollen and I can even smile a little bit. It looks as though the worst is over and I rejoice that our whole family will be home for Sabbath tomorrow. There are no moves to be made; no hay to be hauled; no grain to be cleaned; no house to be polished; no feast to be made.... OOPS that reminds me, I need to clean the bathroom yet so I close with well wishes for a joyous Sabbath to all AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Health tips
Keep warm,
Dawn
PS. I haven't written much about the constitution diet yet but I'm sure that you'll hear much about it in the years to come. This is my 13th day following my diet plan and I am already feeling much better with less pain; more energy; less depression; and I'm feeling thinner somehow. Feel free to check my sidebar for comments on the diet.
Dear Dawn,
I'll add another experience. I was wearing my crocs a lot and ended up getting a lot of mud and dirt in them which ended up in me getting a case of athlete's foot with lots of itching and blisters which finally became infected as I continued to ignore it until it became painful to walk. So my husband suggested that I soak it in peroxide and minced garlic.
Wow!! It immediately killed the infection. Huge improvement, but, the fungus was still in my shoe, and as life is busy, I didn't do much other than clean my shoe, which didn't make the fungus go away.
Well the itching and blisters were flaring back up. So I had some spilled sulfur laying about, and decided to pack it in around my toes. Again, Wow!! So not only did it kill the fungus, but it made my shoe a healthier place for my foot to be. I just need to sprinkle a bit in each pair of shoes, I think.
Thank you for your suggestions, I would love to find out more about the constitution diet, do you have any posts about it?
Blessings,
Doris
Dawn,
Dearly Beloved! Well, it's true, as I have fallen in love with you just by reading these few blog posts. You are a treasure from Heaven.
Yes, that amazing onion has soooo much healing capabilities. For I understand it is high in sulfur and sulfur is very effective at fighting fungus, which I understand that cancer is. Another thing that is a good cancer fighter is copper. There is a good amount of copper to be found in Kelp. Also, you mention Vit D in your next post about Mercola. So, Vit D, copper, sulfur, are very good for you and necessary for your good health--you see they are all important in helping the body absorb calcium. And Calcium is KEY to preventing and stopping cancer.
There is a very good book by Robert Barefoot called 'Death by Diet' that explains how critical calcium/magnesium is to our well being and prevention of cancer. And having attitude problems when the cancer is rampaging totally fits with what I know and my own experiences. Keeping your ph up is the solution to all the symptoms you are dealing with. That is my 'humble' opinion.
You are loved with an Everlasting Love!!
Blessings my friend,
Doris

Miracle?
It did hurt in one location on my lower back, so I moved the ball and it went away. I was surprised that it didn't hurt under my neck as she said often a person's most painful area will be too sensitive to treat directly. Oh, by the way, I'll answer the results question at the END of this post. I'll use Dr. Davis's technique to keep you reading. ;)
Anyway, I took these pictures this morning. It's kind of funny that the balls are the same picture as the new camera the children gave me for my birthday. :) Like I said in last night's short, imperfect post, I felt led to go to the books section in Sam's yesterday. It's like this little box just leaped out at me, so I picked it up.
That's commonly called, "Following your intuition," in BodyTalk. It's when you let the right side of your brain, which is the intuitive side, lead you and you temporarily turn down the left side (the logical side) of the brain which is screaming, "That doesn't make any sense?" Melanie taught us to say to our left brain at moments like that, "You need to go outside and take a walk now. You'll be welcome back in a few minutes." That really works by the way. I encourage you to welcome your intuition into your life especially at times when you're trying to make a decision. After all, God DID make BOTH sides of our brains but our culture teaches us to dis-trust the right brain intuition--HOW SAD!!! But that is the subject of another post which may or may not ever get written so I throw it in here. :) BIG BREATH AND PROCEED TO POINT!
This is the little box which had a big attraction to me yesterday.
These are the first words that I saw and I was hooked. It says, "Relieve your pain--Reshape your body--Reduce your stress". WOW It's like that 's all that I've been thinking about for the last 3 1/2 years (since the shingles on my brain started). HOW CAN I GET RID OF THIS PAIN????????? That's why I had 745 bee stings and I would consider that pretty drastic measures to try to reduce pain--so I have to lay on a couple of balls. Reduce my stress would be my next priority here as that is what brought on the shingles in the first place. Who cares about reshaping my body? OK, well maybe I care about that benefit a LITTLE bit. :)
Here's the whole kit which is helping people from all walks of life to get their pain under control.
and here is a closeup of a real live (oops) Miracle Ball.
I can hear you thinking, "So, what's your point?" Well, my point is this. After a massive 20 minutes of laying on these things last night while our family watched the Olympics re-cap of the day, I woke up with less pain in my lower back this morning!!! Through BodyTalk's Biofeedback system, I have the capability of asking my body for precise information about my state of being. I learned, then, that I had 23% less pain in my lower back when I woke up this morning than what I had yesterday morning!!!!! WOW--to me that is pretty impressive! It's impressive enough for me to continue reading the book and finding a few moments today to learn more about THE MIRACLE BALL METHOD.

THE MIRACLE BALL METHOD
Today, after morning chores, my menfolk and I went to Bismarck. We saw our friends, the Fuerher family first. Then we headed to the farm store where Robert picked up our pipeline cleaning supplies and Andrew picked up some of his supplies for his new grain cleaner. I ate my lunch in the back seat of Andrew's pickup while they were in shopping. Next we went to the library to return a book and we picked up 3 DVDs to watch this week. One was Cranford which a friend had recommended to Cora. The other was a John Wayne movie and the third an old one about the Olympics.
The guys took me to my office then. They had their lunch while I got to work doing 3 wonderful sessions with 3 wonderful people. :) OH HOW I LOVE DOING BODYTALK SESSIONS! I was visiting with my partner, Jean, when Robert came back for me. From there I went to Sam's and the guys went to Wall Mart to look for some fabric for Andrew's gravity table, which they were happy to find.
While I was in Sam's, I felt led to go to the book section. Have you ever had something just seem to leap out at you? Well, that's what happened as I quickly browsed through the books. There was a little box with a little book called THE MIRACLE BALL METHOD and it came with 2 "Miracle" balls. Has anyone ever heard of this?
Well, all the way home I read the book and got half through it. I AM VERY EXCITED ABOUT WHAT I READ. The author shared about her chronic pain in her leg and how this method came together in her mind as she talked to different experts. The theory is that chronically tight muscles cause the body to stay too tight which causes chronic pain which causes the muscles to be too tight.... It's a vicious circle of pain, pain, and more pain.
Basically her program includes deep breathing while you lay on the balls. The weight of the body does the work and people are recovering from long-standing painful conditions. Can you see why I'm excited about this? I will certainly let you know how it goes but for now I want to go try it out. Bismarck days, no matter how wonderful, ARE very stressful. If this works as great as she claims, I will be pain free in no time. THAT SOUNDS GREAT TO ME!!! Oh, I just saw that there is a website listed here but I haven't gone there to see if it's still active. This is the address:www.workman.com
Let's go check it out together!

Onions score again

You may recall how I used onions in the late summer months when I found lumps growing in my breasts. Within a week they were gone. Someone said to me at that time, "That must be rather stinky." I couldn't believe it!!!!!!!!!!! WHO CARES IF THERE ARE STINKY, SMELLY ONIONS ON MY BODY SUCKING OUT POISONS AND TUMORS AND SUCH?????????? WOULD YOU RATHER HAVE THE PAIN AND FEAR AND RISK LOSING YOUR BREAST????????? NOT ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, here is another onion tip that my aunt just sent me. Seeing as I am a STRONG opponent of the flu shot, it just seems natural to ask, "But what if you get the flu?" I do have several items in my arsenal to answer that question, but none as simple as this. I urge you to read this short forward and set out an onion or two. I'm going to and, if you do too, then we can compare notes next Spring. :)
TO YOUR HEALTH,
DAWN
In 1919 when the flu killed 40 million people there was this Doctor who visited the many farmers to see if he could help them combat the flu. Many of the farmers and their families had contracted it and many had died.
The doctor came upon this one farmer and to his surprise, everyone in the family was very healthy. When the doctor asked what the farmer was doing that was different, the wife replied that she had placed an unpeeled onion in a dish in the rooms of the home, (probably only two rooms back then).
The doctor couldn't believe it and asked if he could have one of the onions. The farmer's wife gave him one which he took home and put under his microscope. When he did this, he found the flu virus in the onion. It obviously absorbed the bacteria, therefore, keeping the family healthy.
Now, I heard this story from my hairdresser in AZ. She said that several years ago many of her employees were coming down with the flu and so were many of her customers. The next year she placed several bowls with onions around in her shop. To her surprise, none of her staff got sick. She concluded that it must work. (And no, she is not in the onion business.)
The moral of the story is, buy some onions and place them in bowls around your home. If you work at a desk, place one or two in your office or under your desk or even on top somewhere. Try it and see what happens.
We did it last year and we never got the flu. If this helps you and your loved ones from getting sick, all the better. If you do get the flu, it just might be a mild case. Either way, you're a lot better off. What have you got to lose? Just a few bucks spent on buying onions!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Better yet, grow your own and the remedy will cost you almost nothing.

Shooting after decades
So yesterday I freaked out as I recalled that month and a half long nightmare. I decided to soak in the whirlpool with a cup of apple cider vinegar added. This draws out a lot of poisons. I also put myself on the Master Cleanse, with additional fruit, until this is cleared up. That was a rather abrupt decision but I am NOT going to go through that whole ordeal again.
As the water swirled around me and I started to relax, I could think a little bit. I started doing the BodyTalk Access procedures and felt more and more calm. "I have the skills to deal with this now," I told myself.
When I reached the wrist to ankle reciprocal, though, something broke loose in me and I wept for about 10 minutes. "What is this all about?" I prayed and then slowly I came to understand what was going on with my ankle. I believe now that most of it is emotionally based. Let me explain.
Close to the the time period involved when I had the extremely painful episode on that foot, we were also dealing with West Nile in our horses. One of the best friends that I have ever had was our horse Gabriel--Gabe for short. Wouldn't you know it--Gabe got West Nile. It was a long ordeal with 3 vet visits and finally coming out of the house that morning to find him dead. We had moved him under the tree close by so that we could nurse him. The minute I opened the door, I knew that he was dead. I could feel his absence on the earth!!! I can't even write about it now without weeping. Maybe I'll try to find a picture of Gabe and post it sometime.
Anyway, yesterday in my BT session, I realized that Gabe's death was linked with the infection in my foot which had turned my foot black. Well, for the past 3 weeks we've been trying to get Cora's milk cow, Leisle, back on her feet after a complicated birth. I understand now that, as I watched Leisle's decline I was going back in my mind to the time when I was forced to watch Gabe's decline and death. God was taking me back to deal with Gabe's decline, which I have never dealt with not having the skills to do so before this. Well, now I do so I dealt with it.
I did Active Memory on myself to Gabe's death and then I had to do Emotional Freedom Technique on top of it as the trauma of it all was so painful. I cried like a baby and let out years of pent-up emotions. I should add here that all 3 of my children got West Nile the week that Gabe was dying too. I had treated it with massive doses of Tahitian Noni juice and their suffering was mild. All of this did NOT have a mild affect on this mother's hearth though.
So to make a long story short, today I have about 1/4th the pain in my foot as I had yesterday at this time. My conclusion is this: watching Leisle slowly die was horrible for me as I know how much Cora was being affected by it. Yesterday, when Robert shot Leisle to stop her misery, Cora was devastated. Gabe's death and the children's week-long battle with West Nile all came back to me in full force and I fell apart. I praise God that He has given me the skills to deal with such trauma through BodyTalk procedures and Emotional Freedom Technique. I praise Him too for a whirlpool which seems to free up my emotions like nothing else.
I'm still going to stay on the cleanse until the pain is completely gone but my heart tells me that the weight has been lifted that brought on the infection in my foot. Isn't it incredible how the mind affects the body?
WOW. I cannot urge you all enough to give BodyTalk a try at your next health crisis. Better yet, why wait for a blowup? Sure, I'll gain a little money by doing your sessions for you, but you will gain peace inside and what is that worth in our crazy world? Please consider giving BodyTalk a try. End of advertisement--I really had not planned on going there at all. It just sort of oozed out of me in my enthusiasm to help others! :)
Here are pictures from last Sabbath. We're trying to prepare for our Appleseed Shoot which is scheduled for October 3rd and 4th here at our farm. We're still waiting for them to post it on the website but you can study there and see if you'd like to join us. You can find the link on my sidebar.
Anyway, we first had to set up the targets. We used some electric fence posts and duct taped some cardboard to a wire that we strung between the posts. The targets get stapled on at an official shoot but we just used tape them to the cardboard.

Robert was so kind and sighted in his rifle for me. He used his dad's old rifle so that I could use his good one. I very quickly learned, though, that I'll need to find a shorter rifle. It wasn't too bad when I shot sitting up but it was imposable for me to even cock the thing when I was in the prone position.

I learned that there are 3 sitting positions. The first one is the best but I absolutely could not get my knee to bend that far back. The second one hurt too as my shoulders ached from leaning over so far so I had to use the third, least secure position. I didn't do too bad with the scope. I got 3 in the bulls-eye and the rest nearby. However, shooting in the prone position for me was a nightmare with that gun. I did terrible!

Checking our results. Everyone did better than they expected except Andrew. He was shooting with his new rifle and it takes some getting used to when you make changes like that.

Reloading to shoot again. I didn't realize that I'd grown so clumsy with a rifle. My goodness it's only been a little over 25 years since I've shot gophers with Robert as a young bride. I'm glad that we're starting to practice ahead of time. :)

How about you? Will you accept our invitation to join us at our shoot? We'd love to have all of you who are concerned about our country's future to come and join us. We'll learn together about the past that gave us the freedoms that we now enjoy. I, for one, am willing to accept the challenge to become the best marks woman that I can be. Who knows--maybe someday I'll even make Riflewoman. Maybe after about 10 shoots or so. :)

HOPELESSLY OUT-DATED!!!!!!
Sabbath was wonderful. We rested; sang hymns; listened to Pastor Davis's sermon on loyalty; and then went to a garden birthday party. How I love birthday parties--ALL parties actually. Well, I shouldn't say THAT as I most certainly do not love parties where the main goal is to consume alcohol. I differentiate there and call them "Wild parties." I like the kind where people sit around and visit and eat and honor the Lord in all that they do and say. Many of the people present at this particular party were born-again Christian's, so the fellowship was sweet. The boys played their instruments, so the music was down-right wholesome too. The weather was just lovely, with no bugs, so it was down-right lovely. Cora posted pictures already so feel free to go there for the details.
Sunday morning, though, wasn't as lovely. I got a phone call from the lady who owns, "Nita's Attic" in Napoleon. She said, "I'm sorry to call you on Sunday morning but I want you to know that I will not be able to use any of those clothes that you brought in."
I was pretty surprised and asked, "NOT ANY?"
"No, not any." Then she added, "They are all HOPELESSLY OUT-DATED, and I need you to come and pick them up this week."
I told her that I would get them soon and hung up the phone. At first I had a laugh with Robert and told the children that our new phrase to chuckle at is, "Hopelessly outdated." Everyone laughed and I went to work weeding in my long flower bed out front. However, as I had lots of time to think and nobody to talk to at the moment, the words started to eat at me.
"We're supposed to be a peculiar people," I mumbled under my breath, "but is "Peculiar" HOPELESS? How can clothing be hopeless anyway? As far as my understanding of the word "Hopeless" goes, I have understood that people who reject Christ's free gift of salvation are hopelessly banned from Heaven. There is no other hopelessness that God cannot fix, is there? What is it about clothing that can be hopeless anyway? Yes, if there are no threads stuck together to cover the body, that would be hopeless. WHO SAYS WHEN CLOTHING BECOMES HOPELESS? HOW CAN ALL OF MY MOTHER'S BEST CLOTHING BE HOPELESS? I WANT TO KNOW!!!!!!!!!!
In the afternoon I finally had time to wrap up my mom's hair and send it to LOCKS OF LOVE. As I filled out the necessary paperwork to identify it, this hopeless concept kept gnawing at me. I hoped that it wouldn't be hopelessly outdated too although it met all of the qualifications that we had read about online.
By evening I started to suffer physically from dwelling on this negativity, so I did a BodyTalk session on myself. Nothing works like BT to bring balance, but I had waited too long. By bedtime, I was physically ill. My abdomen was so tight that I grabbed a bowl, just in case. All through family prayer time, I wondered what else I could do to settle myself down so I could sleep. I did cortices and switching again and felt quite certain that I would keep my supper down.
I felt led to put a few drops of lemon essential oil in a glass of water and drink that down. It's a little trick I've been using here lately when my nerves get to my abdomen. This helped enough so that I could sleep a few hours. All night I was up drinking lemon water which would settle my stomach down temporarily. Towards morning I remembered that Jerome, Robert's cousin, uses Green Drops for upset stomach. I added that to the lemonade and slept well for a few more hours until Cora woke me with, "Mother, it's time to get up."
Today my stomach feels like it's been in a vice all night. I did manage to help with chores this morning and we finished cleaning the flower bed out front. This HOPELESSLY OUTDATED concept is REALLY bugging me though. Being I know that God is always trying to teach me something through the events that He allows me to go through, I just out-and-out asked Him, "What is the point here?" A little while ago, something clicked inside of me and I FINALLY understood. I have viewed my family of origin as HOPELESS. God says, "Nothing is imposable with ME!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Being I'm working on packing up a box for my oldest brother, Russell, I felt led to stick a letter into it in light of this new revelation. Into the box I put the beautiful shawl that his wife, LV, had crocheted for my mom. We felt that she should get it back as she had already made one for Cora, Sharel, and I. I also put in a set of his & hers jackets that have the dates of the Eureka Centennial celebration which Russell attended 22 years ago when Cora was a baby. I put in Andrew's graduation DVD and thank you card. I added 2 funeral bulletins. We then put together a DVD of all the pictures and video clips that we have from mom's prayer service and funeral. They have absolutely nothing from these events as the rest of the family has written them off. I hope that these will be the blessing to them that I intend them to be.
Lastly I wrote this letter. I wonder if I'd have invited them to the farm had I not gotten this "Hopelessly outdated" concept drilled into my head in the past 24 hours? I'm including it so that you can see how I am feeling about my family of origin at this present moment. WOW--is a concept a powerful thing or what? Please be in prayer that this love-box will bring the healing to my brother that he so desperately needs and to me too!!! Is my family of origin truly hopeless?
NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pondering,
Dawn
Dear Russell and LV,
I've thought a lot about our phone call on Independence Day, Russell. You may never know how much joy it brought me to be able to talk straight-out about feelings with SOMEBODY in this family. What a bunch!!!!!!!!!!! The good news is that we don't have to stay that way! :) We CAN have a family yet if we choose to do so, can't we? That's why I chose this border to write to you on. It's called, "Welcome to our ranch," and that's just what I'm doing. I would like to invite you both to come and stay with us here sometime when you can get away.
We have much to talk about. Did you say on the 4th, Russell, that you were in Vietnam? I'm pretty sure that's what you said, but I didn't want to interrupt you to make certain. If you were in Vietnam, then why didn't I ever know about it? I really need to try to understand our family of origin somehow.
This love-box is my attempt to show you that our family would like to keep in touch with you two. This is the shawl that you made for mom, LV. When Dad asked us to take all of mom's clothes 2 weeks ago, we found it. Robert and I agreed that you should have it back as a remembrance of mom. I hope that it is as much of a blessing to you as the ones that you made for Cora and I are to us.
I'm also sending his & her jackets from 1987 when Eureka celebrated it's 100th birthday. I don't know if you want them or not, but I recall that you were there at the time, Russell, so I thought that you may like having them too.
I've included a CD with all of the pictures that we have from the family service and the funeral for mom. We have a few short video clips too that we've included. I'm also sending a funeral bulletin for both of you too. You should have these things from our mother's funeral no matter what happened then!!!!!!!!!!! I'm also enclosing a DVD of Andrew's graduation. He sent them to everyone in the family who couldn't be with us on his special day. Thank you very much for remembering him so generously.
I want you to know that I am not willing to do "ANYTHING" like mom did to try to get this family together--my health would never take that. However, I am willing to do my part. If you would like to visit our farm sometime soon, we would love to have you come. We can't visit that far away because of the milking. I pray for peace to come to the Harvey Delzer family.
