BIG NEWS

I realize that this is probably the slowest posting in the universe! I have been meaning to finish this post about our trip to Georgia this summer for months!! However, I've been so busy with the farm; the garden; building LINKS TO HEALING; the animals (both ours and those who call for advice) and now home schooling. However, something has happened recently that has inspired me to return to the joyous days that Jacob and I spent there. That something is BIG NEWS to me so finally I will finish the story.

"Look fast, or you'll miss it," came to be our joke as we drove through downtown Lakemont, Georgia on our way to class at the dome 3 times a day. This picturesque little town is so small that you could miss it if you blink and yet unforgettable for it's historic appeal.

One of the most memorable rooms that I have ever been privileged to enter was the library at Kelly Research Technologies. This is the room where our class was held. Not only was it crammed with books on all sorts of natural healing modalities, it held radionic treasures from the past that one cannot find anywhere else on earth. If you ever get within a thousand miles of the dome, take the chance to go and check out this library! This is about 1/4 of it.

Viewing the class from the second layer, Jacob took this picture of me during one of our breaks. Jacob loved going upstairs to visit Cathie in her office or Ed in the BETAR room.

Even though I had taken a one day class on radionics up here several years back, I still was lost most of the time. What a blessing it was to have Jacob sitting next to me as my brain tried to wrap itself around this technological wonder. I was so glad that I had developed my intuition through the upper level modules in BodyTalk before I took the class so that I wasn't completely lost during our 4 days spent at the dome.

You cannot imagine Jacob's joy to find himself so welcome at the dome. He is a natural radionics operator and a favorite of both the instructor and the owner of Kelly Research Technologies. At the end of the class, the instructor remarked, "How I wish that I had gotten started at age 14!" It made Jacob realize what a gift he's been given.

Oh, what would an office be without an efficient, capable, friendly, helpful, intelligent... secretary holding the place together? This is now my friend and advisor, CJ. Cathie was open to receiving a free BodyTalk session as my love gift for all that she had done to pull the class off. She left that night with far less pain in her arm and she was impressed with BT. Later we traded one of her machines for BT sessions and we BOTH have been very blessed as a result. Jacob is already saving his money to go to the dome again next year and so am I. I am eager to see this smiling face again!
Using my radionics machine on a daily basis has removed my doubts about it's effectiveness. Many nights I put my picture in the input well, when I have that aching pain in my neck and shoulders. I set the machine to the rates that I need; go to sleep; and wake up refreshed and pain free! Now that is the life for me!!!!! Thanks so much, CJ, for the trade!!!

Choosing to take care of my needs, instead of ignoring them, has been a wonderful change of thinking. Each session that I do on myself makes it easier to do as I get rid of those old thoughts from childhood that I don't deserve to be happy. My continual healing has led to a new view on life. Things that used to seem insurmountable, now seem like opportunities--most of the time anyway.
Here is an example. Last week we received the newsletter from KRT (Kelly Research Technologies). In it I read that they are producing a product which repeats the affects of the BETAR machine for a fraction of the cost. I got all excited. You may recall my sharing how wonderful I felt after Ed had given me a free ride on their Master Edition BETAR machine. Now I can give this effect to my clients!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ready to share my "New" discovery, I found Jacob and told him excitedly, "Now they're making BETAR in a box," and showed him the article. He stared at me and said, "Mom, I told you about them when we were in Georgia! We stood right there while they were making them." WHAT? How could I have missed this information completely?
Intrigued by the idea of sharing these with everyone I know, I sent Ed an email. I asked him if I might purchase the products in bulk. Everyone I know is over-stressed and has a hard time relaxing. Many of my clients tell me that they can't sleep without a sleeping pill. These little boxes help reduce people's stress by emitting sound waves that help them to relax or sleep. You must imagine my surprise when Ed wrote back offering me the opportunity to become a BETAR dealer!
Surely you can imagine how a home school mom, who has "ALWAYS" been determined to stay at home and let the world go on without me, would feel when this opportunity came along. A thousand reasons popped into my head why it is just impossible for me to take on "One more thing."
Still, when I pondered that for only $125 a person can have a tool to help them relax or sleep for the rest of their life. I know well enough that stress is what almost killed me in 2006 and how many of my clients are very ill because of their inability to cope with all of the stressors in their lives. How much is it worth to be able to rest thoroughly each and every night?
Can you guess what I decided to do? Yes, I wrote to Ed after a lengthy discussion with my family and told him that I would like to know the details of what it takes to be a BETAR dealer. When he sent over the contract, I at once knew that this is what I wanted to do. I had been nervous that I may have to buy X dollars worth of product to get started, or so much per month, but there was nothing of that.
I gladly wrote back to Ed and told him that I accept and THAT is my BIG NEWS! Now I have to get a sales tax number and then I'll be ready to start. Being I'm now writing on Andrew's computer, I can't get the website address to share with you, but I'll do it soon. I can hardly wait to get one of these stress-reducers for myself and I just know that there is not a person on the planet who wouldn't benefit from owning one. If you're already wanting one, please let me know so that I can order one for you right away when I put in my first order.
God is so amazing how He leads me and I am happy to share my other big news now too. You who read my children's blogs, though, already know that God has blessed me and I have been able to move into a much larger office in Bismarck. I loved my first office but it was a bit crowded when family members came along or when clients came early for their sessions.
Little is nice but big is better in this case. Soon I will post a picture-full epistle of the move and the wonderful new wall the men are building for me so that I can have complete privacy when I'm working with my clients. It's going to be so nice when it's finished as I picked out the most lovely upholstery for the wall on Tuesday.
I had thought about including all of the pictures that I've saved up from that project but this is getting long already. Please pray for me to know exactly how to furnish the room as I want it to be a sanctuary of peace for all who enter within it. Yesterday we spotted some awesome chairs for the waiting room on Bis-Man online but I haven't heard back from the man yet so they may not be the right ones.
Another big news item for our family is that we recently completed a month-long project. In order to direct market our grains, we needed to design a logo and a label which summarizes how we feel about our grains. Did you ever try to put 5 people's ideas into one small picture? One person would like SEEDS OF HONOR (the name of our organic farm) in red; another in blue; another in brown. One wanted a combine to symbolize our farming operation; another a wheat field; another a bag bull of grain.... Finally we settled on a grain bag and then on to designing our label.
Nobody seemed to have any strong ideas about what to put on our labels. We knew that we needed to have our logo on the label along with many other things which our certifying agency insists upon. We were stumped by this for several days until Robert hit upon the idea of using the picture of our farm as the background. He had taken this picture from the airplane on our trip home from San Francisco. After that everything fell into place and we submitted our very own label to International Certification Services for approval.
Only another family farmer could know the joy and pride that filled our hearts yesterday morning when we received the email stating, "YOUR LABEL IS APPROVED FOR USE!" We're going to sell our wheat in my office, you see, along with everything else that the Lord brings to me to share with folks to build up their health. It's all such a wonderful dream come true!!!!! So you see, I really DO have big news to share with all you whom I love tonight! I hope that you were encouraged to know that the Lord has been doing wonderful things in the Bornemann family.
Good night now everyone! Keep checking back for pictures of my new office and our new label! Behold God maketh all things new!!
Dawn
PS. Have I mentioned about how wonderful I've been feeling since I got my SunSplash from Dr. Mercola? Many who have seen me since I started using it 2 weeks ago has commented how much more health and vibrantly happy I look. Isn't sunshine wonderful?

Pretty lady

That Sabbath, July 31st of 2010, was an unforgettable day for Jacob and I. I'm sorry that I have no pictures from throughout the day, but the memories are vivid and so I shall do my best to paint the pictures with my words. These two pictures are of Jacob and I at the END of that very eventful Sabbath. He was exhausted and I, for once, had more enthusiasm than he did......

but that's because I got told that I am a pretty lady. WOW--I can't ever recall being told THAT before. But I'm getting ahead of myself again.

First of all, I slept like a log until Jacob wakened me at almost 9:30. I was very glad that I woke up then as our wonderful hostess, Gloria, knocked on our door a little bit later. She said, "I have some good news for you. You said that you were concerned about getting back and forth to your classroom. Well, the people next door from you are also going there today. They just got back from there and said that there is a shortcut. They said that they'd be happy to show you the way over there this afternoon. Here are their cell phone numbers," and she was gone.

The night before, on our way to the Inn, Jacob and I had hunted out the location of KRT and I WAS discouraged. How on earth would we ever get home on time for lunch when it took almost half an hour to drive back to the Inn? Leave it to the Lord to make a way to solve that problem too.
When I called the numbers, though, neither one answered. That's why I was very happy when a knock came soon afterwards. A very nice farmer was on the other side of the door and Jacob and I liked him at once. Mr. H. from Iowa turned out to be a kindred spirit and someone that we both enjoyed visiting with more than once that day. "I'd be happy to show you two the way over to KRT right after lunch," he said and we both breathed a sigh of relief.
Well, with that all arranged, Jacob went out on an expotition of the Inn property (you'll have to watch Pooh if you think that I spelled that wrong). I went in and soaked for a couple of hours and totally unwound from the day before. We ate quickly then and I felt absolutely wonderful when Mr. H picked us up around 12:30 to head over to KRT.
Jacob was like a kid at Christmas. He was wired and did his best to contain his excitement. HE WAS GOING TO KELLY RESEARCH TECHNOLOGIES AND HE WAS EXCITED!!!!! I was delighted to see how easy it was to take "Old" 441 through scenic downtown LakeMont and we arrived at KRT in about 20 minutes. By the end of the week there, I got it down to 14 minutes as I learned to relax and close my eyes around the curves. (Just checking to see if you're REALLY paying attention.)
We parked our car and Jacob was almost in shock. As he realized that we were going inside the dome that he'd read so much about, a hush came over my son. He didn't say much so I just visited with the H. from Iowa family who were happy to lead us into the dome having been there in the morning for their BETAR rides.
Once inside the dome, Jacob came back to life. Cathie, the receptionist there, came forward and welcomed us warmly and I felt at home instantly-- it didn't take long for us to realize that these were our kind of people!!!! Cathie pointed out that they had a book sale going on and that all of those books to the left were on sale for $5.
Jacob and I were totally gone for the next half hour as we perused the wonderful bargains--5 of which now sit on our bookshelves although we didn't pay for them until after Sabbath. I told Jacob that we would only look now but Cathie said that, if we wanted any of the books, we'd better grab them now or they'd most likely be gone. So grab we did.
Then Ed came walking into the room and Jacob and I were both drawn to him instantly. Ed's energy level is just awesome and his smile is winning, but even more profound, his laugh fills the soul with laughter. May the world be filled to overflowing with men like Ed who know who they are and why they are here. "We are here to serve the world," is etched all over Ed and, in that regard, he reminds me of none other than Christ. We were instantly friends with Ed and shall be forever more! Watch future posts for pictures of this awesome man who is the son of an awesome man!
Ed took us into the conference room/library and we were enthralled. Jacob was instantly intrigued by the machine that Ed had been "Playing around with" which showed each individual's energy pattern. It was fun to see what happened when I put my hand into the scanner along with Jacob's. It made a beautiful pattern which gave other families there ideas...
The dome is a place to explore ideas! It was filled with old radionics machines which revealed the first ideas that people had about radionics over a hundred years ago. One whole wall in the large room was FILLED with books on all topics of interest to a questioning mind. It was just the right location for a class on radionics and were we ever excited to be there.
After looking over the display of KRT products that were for sale and listening to "More' experienced" radionics operators share their insights on how best to use our machine, Ed made us an offer that we couldn't refuse. He looked at me and said, "How about a ride on the BETAR machine?" Jacob grabbed my arm and up the steps we went. He's the one who had been reading about BETAR rides on the website and HE was READY to watch Ed set up my ride.
For information on what a BETAR ride is all about, I urge you to go to the KRT website here:
www.kellyresearchtech.com/betar.html. I will simply say that it is a type of healing that is unforgettable as the music actually stimulates parts of your body that need to be stimulated and soothes parts of your body that need to be soothed. I just KNOW that someday I will own one of these machines in my future health care center. That statement is what is called a HUGE leap of faith, as they cost almost $40,000, but still I do have a GREAT desire to share this technology with the entire MidWest--or at least everyone in North Dakota. The healing is unforgettable!!!
Shortly after this, the instructor of our radionics beginner's class came in and some of us class members and he got into a deep discussion about the state of the nation. Except for the knowledge that God has given to me through BodyTalk, and now radionics, I would be discouraged about how things "SEEM" to be right now. Now I see that every negative thought that I ever had were only negative thoughts.
What IS a thought? It is merely something that a breath can expel when taught how to do so through BodyTalk classes. And yet thoughts keep people prisoners in bodies they hate doing jobs they hate with hatred being the common theme here. WHY HATE WHEN LOVE IS SO MUCH STRONGER AND BETTER IN EVERY WAY??????????
Well, as Elizabeth would say, "I digress." To make a long story short, we LOVED our time at the dome. However, I had promised Jacob that I would take him to see a Krone dealer as it was only 30 miles away in nearby South Carolina. I will not tell you a thing about that aspect of our journey, as it is strictly Jacob's story.
However, when the Krone dealership proved an immense disappointment to my son, I decided to do what any mom does when a child is discouraged--I TOOK HIM OUT FOR ICE CREAM!!!
Now, there in a strange sounding named town in South Carolina, I learned something that I've wondered about all of my adult life. I learned that I am a pretty lady!!! Now, don't you go off laughing without listening to my explanation--PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!
In this ice cream parlor which proved to make up for it's lack of size or appearance, the owner's friendliness was a nice boost to Jacob's and my moral. He scooped me a great big bowl full of wonderful tasting Maple Nut ice cream while Jacob visited with his good-old Southern buddy. Then Jacob ordered a cone with Super Cow and all 4 of us yapped for about half an hour.
We had extra time, what with the implement dealership not taking long to explore, so we just settled in there for a nice little rest. We told the men that we were from North Dakota and we talked about their life there. He mentioned that it'd probably be best not to stop anywhere along the road until we got home. He said, "The hill people haven't changed much since I was a kid. Sure, they show up in church on Sunday mornings, but I wouldn't advise poking into their business any other time of the week as they usually have their rifles ready and aren't afraid to use them."
I thought about the nice man who had given us directions on the way down there and praised the Lord for leading us to a friendly place. Well, the day was waning and with that little bit of uneasiness hanging over my head, I decided that it was best to head back to the Inn.
I asked the big fellow if I might have a glass of water to wash down my ice cream. When he went to the cooler to get me a bottle water, I protested saying, "No, I don't want to buy any--I have some water out in the car."
He looked very gentlemanly and said, "Well, I wasn't going to charge you for this. You're a pretty lady--it's on the house."
Then I REALLY protested, not wanting to be owing him anything. Seeing my concerns, he threw back his head and filled the room with his big laughter. He said, "Well there, lady, we're supposed to do good to others so that we can receive a blessing, you know," as he nudged the water bottle towards me.
I still can't believe that I did this but it just flowed out of me. I took one of his monstrous hands in both of mine and then I said, "OK, then I'm going to give you a blessing." I bowed my head and prayed a blessing on the man and on his business and on his family. When I looked up, he was stunned and had tears in his eyes. I told him, "That's for real, you know."
"Th-th-THANK YOU!" he muttered and then it was my turn to laugh fully. And so we had church there that day. The big fellow had blessed me with a bottle of water, for which he received a blessing. He didn't know, though, that he'd given me the bigger blessing for all the way homeward, I kept hearing his words spoken sincerely with no obligation of any sort whatsoever, "Why, you're a pretty lady!" It still makes me smile even now and I can imagine that it will do so for the rest of my life.
I told Robert later that night that I had to go all of the way to South Carolina to learn that I'm a pretty lady. He said, "Well then, it was a trip well worth it. Maybe you'll believe me now." It made me wonder how many times he had tried over the years to get me to hear his praises but my negative thinking wouldn't let his appreciation get through my negative filters. I leave you with that thought to ponder.
We made it back to the Inn just before dark and ate our supper quietly. Then, when we thought that our day could no longer hold anymore excitement, we heard a knock at our door. It was Mr. H from Iowa. "May I come in and talk radionics with you? I'm here with my wife, daughter, and granddaughter and they're sick of hearing about it."
We laughed; opened the door; and welcomed him into our living room. For the next 2 hours this wonderful farmer shared with us what he'd been learning with his machine during the past 3 years. He wet our appetite to take the class so that late that night, when we bade him farewell under the Georgia pines, we could hardly wait to get to class. The only sad part about the whole day is that he wasn't going to be in our class. As he explained, "I've taken the beginner class 3 times and the advance class twice. No, I"m not here to take the class but I just couldn't miss the chance to visit the dome on the way to the ocean."
And so it was that God brought wonderful men into my life that day. There 1,500 miles from home, I felt perfectly safe under the protection of my loving Heavenly Father. And now as I close, the words come to mind that I spoke with Frank on the plane down to Atlanta. I had asked him, "Are you saying that I need to get over this fear of flying so that God can use me more?"
Frank, very bluntly had stared me into the eyeballs and said firmly, "I'm saying that you need to be willing to do ANYTHING that God asks you to do!"
HE WAS RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Still Day 1--Minneapolis to Atlanta

I really HAVE been trying to write here but my computer would not let me in to post for the past 4 days. I used to get upset about things like that, but I figure that the Lord knows best when I need to post and when I need to keep my nose to the grindstone. It's been a LOT of grindstone this week, but that's good too. I started this post a few days ago, so some of this is old news, but it does give you an idea of a few things that I've been up to.

Anyway, these are STILL pictures from July 30th--the first day of our trip to Tiger, Georgia. Today I have limited time to write as Cora and I picked chokecherries and we are processing them PLUS applesauce PLUS we're going through dozens of eggs that she found in the barn. Did you know that, if an egg bounces when you put it in water, you know that they are dog/cat food?
Well, we finally made it to the Minneapolis airport just a little bit late. We came in gate F1 and just had to walk down this very crowded hallway to gate F7. We were a little bit early and had to wait until they boarded another flight which left that gate before us. When they all cleared out, I went up to the desk and asked if we had to go through security or anything. The very kind man asked, "Did you just come in on another plane?" I said, "Yes," and then he said, "No--you're good to go then." WOW--THAT WAS A RELIEF. Can you tell that I know absolutely nothing about flying by air? Well, I guess that is no longer true anymore, but it was then. Once again I apologize for the fuzzy pictures but they do get better once we hit day 2 or 3 of our journey. :)

Jacob and I went and bought a $10 sandwich then. It was a pretty big sandwich but still, $10 for a sandwich????????? We shared it and then went back to the waiting area and waited.

I took these pictures while we were waiting. This is a map of the Minneapolis airport.
You can see our plane through the big window here.
I had asked Jacob to wear his bright, yellow shirt so that I could spot him in the crowd if we would get separated. Even with these bad shots, I'm sure that you can see him. :)
It didn't take long until we heard the woman announce that they were boarding all handicapped people on our flight. Shortly after that she announced that the FIRST CLASS passengers could board. Then she said, "Zone 1 passengers may now board the plane." A few minutes later, "Zone 2..." and finally she called out, "Zone 3 passengers may now board the plane." That was us.

She kept announcing that the federal inspectors were there to inspect everyone and that we should be prepared to step out of line if they needed more information about us. I guess we must have looked honest as the federal inspector just waved us by after looking at my driver's license.

The lady who scanned the boarding passes was rude enough to make up for the pleasant federal inspector. Later a smiling face at Sam's Club told me that, "It's a requirement that people be grumps if they work at airports." :) Most weren't, but that one sure sticks in my mind as she pushed Jacob forward towards the plane as if he WERE a cow.

This was a bigger jet with over 200 passengers and it was FULL. Once again Jacob and I lugged our small suitcase; my book bag; my purse; and Andrew's laptop down a long, narrow aisle looking for our number. I can say it now, because it's behind us, but what made us the most nervous was the fact that we were carrying over $800 in those bags. We each had to pay $350 in cash to our instructor so we were both edgy until we safely put that money in the right hands.
You may recall that my first flight didn't go so well. If I wasn't totally committed to helping Jacob get the information that he needs to start his business, I'm not sure if I would have BOARDED this jet. Now I'm very glad that I did.
The Lord had a special treat in mind for Jacob and I and it came in the form of this man who sat next to me. It didn't take long to see that Frank (not his real name) truly loved the Lord. I told him that our first flight was pretty awful and he listened sympathetically. He was a wise traveler and he shared some thoughts on how to keep your ears from building up pressure; how to keep from getting airsickness; and how to look at life as if it's one big adventure--which it is. It didn't take long until he had my spirits a LITTLE bit lighter.

However, when we were moving towards the runway, I looked at the window and saw that that huge tail fin was shaking terribly. I tried not to look at it, but I was glued to it, and had a sinking feeling in my already queasy stomach. I said to Jacob, "Doesn't that thing look as though it's going to fall off?" He and Frank had a good laugh at my expense. Jacob told me later, when I was finally relaxing at the Inn, that this was happening because we were turning and it's hard to get both of the engines to turn perfectly in time. With the plane being so large, this led to lots of vibration in the wings and that huge fin showed it the best. It made me decide not to ever fly on airplanes with big fins like that ever again. Go ahead and laugh all you like--I am serious!

On the contrary, Jacob was fascinated with this plane because it had little computers on the back of the seats ahead of us. We could watch the trip on a little map on this screen so we got a little geography lesson as we whizzed along at 575 miles per hour!!!
I guess it didn't fall off after all and as soon as we got turned onto the runway, it quit wobbling.

Soon we were up in the air again and on our way to Atlanta, Georgia. Good job, God, for sending Frank to me to help me get my mind off of the fact that I was zooming along VERY quickly.
We had an unforgettable conversation about life. That seems rather vague, I know, but things take on a different perspective when you're in an airplane. I wasn't the only one who was fearful as I saw lots of people with their heads bowed asking for a safe flight--especially on our first flight. All I can say for sure is that every time Jacob asked me to look out of the windows, my stomach started churning TERRIBLY. I kept trying but then I gave up and concentrated on my discussion with Frank about God and what it means to be a Christian in our world.
Frank told me that he belongs to a church which has a healing ministry. Now THAT really got me interested and I asked him to tell me some stories about folks who have been healed--events that he, himself, has seen. Now that was an interesting hour as Frank shared stories about his own ankle injury and other healings that he had witnessed. He told me that his church has a website called, "Spirituality.com." Now that's so easy to remember that it's still in my memory 2 weeks later and I didn't even write it down.
Frank is the kind of person who is easy to talk to so I shared about MY healing ministry and gave him my business card. I encouraged him to come to my blog to read about our time together but, if he did come, he probably got tired of waiting for me to get this far. Anyway, thanks ___, for being there for me that day and sharing that ALL of life is merely what we perceive it to be. After all, as Christ said to His disciples right before He raised the little girl from the dead, "She isn't dead." See I haven't forgotten! :) I may write a separate post about your philosophy later as it truly was life-changing for me, Frank! May God bless you richly for being there for me that day!!!!!!!

So, after nearly 3 hours visiting with this man of God, we safely landed in Atlanta, Georgia. It's the busiest airport in the world and my heart was filled with trepidation at the thought of having to drive out of there into a city of 5 million people. However, the lesson that Frank had taught me over and over had sunk in and I un-boarded (what is that called anyway?) the plane a new person. If God said that I could do it, I COULD DO IT, AND I DID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But that's the post for another day.
Well, my guys are home for supper. Cora is decorating a cake so it's up to me to serve my hungry fellows some of our wonderful organic beef with carrots and a goat's milk shake. Want to come over for supper?
Blessings to all who take the time to listen to the quavering voices around them and speak peace into their trembling hearts,
Dawn

Day 1 continued/flight to Minneapolis

In case you, like me before last week, have never been on a commercial airline, this is what they look like on the inside. There is VERY little room between the seats and the seats are VERY close together. Above the seats there is a small amount of room for your carry-on bags. You also have space underneath your seat for small items, but our big suitcase had to be checked. This means that I had to pay $23 to have it be handled by the airline's people with the hopes that it would end up in Atlanta. Just in case you're wondering: Yes, it did arrive just fine!

This pretty lady was my very first stewardess. This isn't a very good picture of her, as she was very pleasant and had a gorgeous smile--not like a couple of grumps that we got later on during our journey. She made sure that everyone found their way to their seats and had their possessions in the right location above or beneat the seats. Then she closed the storage compartments above the seats to prepare for the flight and ran through the safety precautions of what to do if there should happen to be a crash. YIPES!

This is how I looked before the plane left the ground. I was so excited for Jacob to be getting his dream-come-true trip that I was sure that everything would work out fine. I took this myself so it looks kind of goofy. I would have preferred Jacob to take it, but he was off on Cloud Nine!

Once again I need to mention that my camera wasn't working very well because some how or other the flash got turned off. Most of the pictures that I took on the first day had to be deleted because when we were moving they were totally fuzzed. I couldn't stand deleting ALL of them, though, so you'll just need to put up with the blurr.
Anyway the point that I was making here is that, as the flight progressed, my smile disappeared. I have been told many times since then, as I related the story of this flight, that other travelers have never once been on a flight when almost a dozen people lost their breakfasts. There was a LOT of turbulence!!! I am fully convinced that, had I not brought along the bottle of water with the few drops of lemon essential oil, I WOULD HAVE JOINED THEM! I cannot recommend too much getting in the habit of taking along lemon essential oil on any trip that you may take as it has many useful purposes of which I will relate as we go along.
Suffice it to say, I did NOT look out the window at the pretty clouds as Jacob so frequently requested me to do. I sat quietly, sipping my water, and kept doing cortices whenever my stomach got REALLY upset. At one point I thought, "OH MY GOD, WHAT HAVE I GOTTEN MYSELF INTO?" I even told myself that I'd have to rent a car in the Cities and drive myself home as I simply could NOT imagine myself EVER going on another airplane in my entire life.
More than one person told me since then that I can rejoice because now I have had the very worst flight of my life and that dreaded event is already behind me! From the perspective now of having had 4 whole flights on our trip, THAT so far is indeed the case. In fact, on the way home from Minneapolis I asked Jacob to let me have the window seat for a few moments so that I could take some pictures of the beautiful cloud formations. Those pictures, though, will have to wait about a week to show up here.

Jacob is one cool cucumber. His enthusiasm carried me through the whole trip! One time on this flight, though, I was a little worried about him when he closed his shade and turned towards me for a swallow of my lemon water. It didn't take him long, though, and he was back to cloud gazing--from the top down. This whole thing was a dream come true for my 14 year old son!

FINALLY we felt the wheels of our plane touch ground about an hour and a half later. This is a picture of the part of the Minneapolis airport where we landed. As you can see, there was a light mist on the windows which didn't exactly match with the sunny forecast for the Minneapolis area that they were displaying in the Bismarck airport.
Once we were on the ground, I suddenly felt MUCH better. Things began happening as soon as the planed was parked in the right spot. We were encouraged to pick up all of our things and leave the plane as quickly as possible. We had a little over an hour to get to our next plane and I was VERY nervous about finding the way, but that is the subject of my next post.
Did I say that the pilot greeted us from the cockpit as we left the plane? This was truly exciting for Jacob as he STILL has dreams of being a pilot someday.
More later,
Dawn
PS. Today was a lovely, quiet family day at home which I soaked up in preparation for another wildly, busy week of alfalfa and wheat harvest; BT sessions; canning garden produce; and apples, apples, apples...............

Day 1

I'm just going to start. I don't know if any of you are like this, but I tend to think that when everything is perfect, I will start. I know that things will never be perfect here on this earth, so I am learning SLOOOOOOOOWLY that I just need to jump in and do SOMETHING and then things start to flow.

Anyway, the most frustrating thing about the first part of our journey to Georgia is that my camera wasn't working. ALL of the pictures on Day 1 were fuzzed and I was UPSET. Later Andrew told me to check if somehow the flash had gotten turned off and that was it. As long as we were relatively still, the pictures were only mildly fuzzed but almost all of the ones in the Atlanta airport were hopelessly flawed. So these pictures from day 1 are NOT perfect. SORRY!

Well, Jacob and I woke up at 4:30; lugged all of our stuff out to the old Chevy car; hugged Cora; kissed Robert (well, at least I did); and took off for Bismarck. Andrew was a sleepy head so only got a toe-pull before I left.

I was a little miffed when we had to wait for the train up in Steele but, praise God, He always has a reason. We decided to cut through town to get to the end of the train sooner. As we pulled up to the flashing lights, my eyes were drawn to the town's billboard. It was brightly lit in the darkness of late night and suddenly all of my fears about the trip vanished.

I have been accused of writing on the side of emotionalism but, you tell me, if you knew that you were leaving the safety of home for 6 days to travel almost 2,000 miles without your husband, would these words shining in the darkness, bring peace to YOUR troubled soul? It read:

WE CANNOT BECOME WHAT WE NEED TO BE BY REMAINING WHAT WE ARE!!!!

As you can tell, I wrote these words down. I tapped them into my heart and prayed a prayer of praise to my God who sent the train so that I wouldn't take the back road and miss the point entirely. I showed the sign to Jacob who was as amazed as I was. We both knew that God had put those words there for us; sent the train to show them to us; and we went on our way rejoicing.

Well, we got to the airport in time and went through security without any trouble. Later I will tell you about the security in Atlanta because it is a much more interesting story. Here we were cleared for boarding (as Jacob reminds me constantly--you LOAD cattle, Mom, and you BOARD people on airplanes.)

I was having trouble with my stress levels even with the words of the sign encouraging me to go on. My father taught me to dread flying on airplanes and I found myself dealing with extreme stress symptoms. I hated to do it, but I had to take some Loratadine, as that is what keeps me from going into shock. If I had it to do all over again, though, I'd have been like those smart people in the restaurant behind those lovely doors and eaten something substantial.

I am VERY grateful, though, for my bottle of lemon essential oil in my purse. We bought a bottle of water and I put in 2 drops which I kept drinking on the flight. Even Jacob found it helpful on THAT flight but that story will have to remain for another day. I decided that I'm not stressing myself out here by trying to tell the whole story all in one day.

Anyway, here I am in the Bismarck terminal enjoying the beautiful sunrise. What a view that was. I was admiring the gorgeous colors over the surrounding countryside while Jacob was admiring the AIRPLANES--of all things. :) I wear my glasses to see clearly from distances and I found myself wearing them a lot on our trip. I just feel better when I can see what's going on around me when there are LOTS of people whom I don't know.

A fuzzy shot of Jacob but he was ELATED at the prospects of the day. What would I have done without his enthusiasm?????????

They told us that the flight to Minneapolis was leaving from Gate 3 so we went over to check it out. Sure enough this sign told us that we were at the right location.

This door opened up a whole new world for me. I conquered my fear of flying on airplanes by taking the first step through this door. I kept telling Jacob throughout our 6 wonderful days together (when I was feeling frightened, you understand), "You can know how much I love you, Jacob. The fact that I am conquering my fears to be with you on YOUR dream-come-true journey should say SOMETHING to you." :) He'd just laugh or put his arm around me and say, "Thanks, Mom." It was worth everything to grow so close to him throughout all of the challenges of the trip.

This is what the ceiling in the Bismarck terminal looks like. I remember looking at it that morning and thinking, "I wonder what it will be like to be higher than the clouds." I soon found out but that is the story for another day.

I hope that you don't mind my breaking up the trip into bites that I have time to write about.
It's either that or not write at all and I definitely do want to share about all of the wonderful adventures that Jacob and I shared together in the past few weeks.

We're home!

Jacob and I are extremely excited about our trip to Kelly Research Technologies this past week! The trouble is that when you are extremely excited for a whole week, and then you spend a day on airplanes or in airports, you get extremely TIRED. I am so amazed that neither one of us felt the least little bit of jet lag when we got down there. Why oh why are we both dragging something awful today then? Could it be that we're both just a little bit down because our trip is over?

I don't have the energy to go through the 499 pictures which came home with us right now. Actually Jacob asked me to do a BT session for him as he needs to be out working on moving hay all afternoon. However, I wanted to share at least one picture from our trip seeing as you have all been waiting patiently.

I actually was NOT patient when Andrew's laptop died on us down there the first night. We couldn't even send pictures home for the family to be able to keep up with our doings. Last night, then, Robert, Cora, and Andrew were eager to sit down and look at all of them with us as we reminisced.

At first I was upset down there that I couldn't blog on things as they happened, but then I came to understand that the Lord really wanted me to focus on spending LOTS of quality time with Jacob. I'm VERY glad now that I did that, as it was a life-changing experience for my son, as I watched him rub shoulders with some of the most brilliant minds that I have ever met.

We spent most of our time at Kelly Research Technologies which is built in the shape of a dome. We sat in class from 9:00 to 11:40; 1:00 to 4:30; and 6:00 to 9:30 on Sunday and Monday. Tuesday was the same except that there was no night class the last day. Here is the link to their website if you are interested in learning about the research that we learned how to do there: http://www.kellyresearchtech.com/

We drove "Home" to where we were staying at, "Tiger Creek Falls Inn" for our meals. Once we learned of the shortcut, it only took us 15 minutes to drive one way. We had stopped at a Sam's Club on the way up to the Inn and put in a stash of supplies which proved ample seeing as Jacob lost his appetite as soon as we got down there. I was a little worried about him not eating much, but his energy didn't wane, so I figured that he was just too excited to eat.

Later I will post some pictures of the Inn; and our flights, but now I need to get back to this mountain of laundry. Still, I just cannot leave you without at least sharing one picture of me enjoying my learning vacation.
Jacob had been wanting me to go down to the foot of this immense hill to see the "Big waterfall" ever since we got to the Inn. I kept putting it off, for one reason or another, until right before we left. I think now that it was so that we could spend our last glorious moments at the Inn in this gorgeous spot.

As usual, I was following him. When Jacob had gotten to this tree, he stopped and looked up at it. All of the trees were incredible around there. I said to Jacob, "Give it a hug," so he did. When I got down to it, I felt a strong impulse to do the same thing but there was no way that I could have gotten my arms all the way around it. I just leaned up against the tree then, with deep affection in my heart, while Jacob snapped this picture of me.
Well, I am hoping that soon I'll have more energy to post LOTS of pictures, but I am drooping today and the laundry is calling. Andrew gets to go away for the weekend. He's heading up to see his friends, the Bartlett family. I promised him that "We" would work on his laundry for him and, now that Cora is at work and the boys are working on hay, "We" has dwindled down to "Me." :) I'd best get to it.

I hope that this short post will help you to see how much Jacob and I loved our trip to Georgia. We learned much that will help our health; the health of our farm; and all who are open to this incredible form of natural healing.

Glad to be home,

Dawn

Master Cleanse 4 ~ Day 4

I am elated!!!!!!!!!!!!! Robert said, "GO." You see, I have been dreading this awful auction sale ever since mom died over a year ago. I feel your prayers and it's getting better, but it's still starting to get me down. Now our good Lord has given me something else to think about.

I can't recall if I told you about radionics or not, but it's a natural way to kill weeds and insects. As organic farmers, we're seeking constantly for non-chemical ways to solve our problems. Well, we bought a radionics machine a few months ago and have been using it on our farm. It's a little bit like jumping into brain surgery, and we've been trying to get some information on how to use the thing.

Last July we ordered a 12 video course called, "Radionics in Agriculture" from ACRES USA. It is a year now and we still have not received the course although I have been told countless times that it is on back order. Now I'm wondering if the Lord did that so that we would open up our minds to another opportunity to learn about this incredible machine.

To make a long story short, we've been talking here for several weeks about attending the class that the makers of our machine is hosting the first 2 days in August. Well, today I called them (Kelly Research Institute) and asked how full the class is getting. Cathy there said that there are 18 people signed up and they're thinking of stopping at 20, although the teacher is willing to go to 25. Cathy said that this would be crowded, so it was a good thing that I called as soon the class will be full.

Well, when I called Robert on his cell and told him all of these details, he very strongly said, "GO." Jacob and I are so excited as we are the ones who get to make the trip. We spent the morning checking out things like hotel rooms; airline tickets; and rental cars. NEVER IN MY LIFE WOULD I HAVE IMAGINED SUCH A THING--GOING ON A TRIP WITHOUT ROBERT!!!!!!!

Still, the Lord has given me peace that He will work out the details. Here's one example. The people at Kelly suggested that I call the Bed and Breakfast 1 block away from them to find a place to stay. They were booked up. Cathy at Kelly had also suggested a nice place on the river, but that was way out of our budget. The Bed and Breakfast lady gave me the number of another place, which we called, and found that they were booked for a wedding.

I was getting nervous about finding a room when the "Booked for a wedding" place gave me the number of another place. This sweet woman named Gloria, with a gentle Southern drawl, answered the phone and told me that they had openings for the dates we need. She told me that the suite has 2 private bedrooms AND 2 private bathrooms AND a kitchenette. "Oh boy," I thought, "we'll never be able to afford that." When she told me the price, and it was less than one room in the fancy place, I told her that we'll take it for 3 nights.

Here is the link to the website for Tiger Creek Falls Inn, where we'll be staying for 3 days. I just spent a little time visiting Grandpa and Grandma there and I know that you will enjoy seeing their lovely home too! They look like our kind of people: http://www.tigercreekfallsinn.com. Just think-- 3 days staying by a waterfall!!!

Grandma Gloria called me, "Honey" and I felt so at peace, for I could see that the Lord IS going to work all things out for good to those who love Him--US. Now for the airline tickets............ I wish that you could see Jacob--he's just coming to life! This is something that he is VERY good at and now he will get to learn more about the machine which may well be a part of his life's work.

Well, this afternoon everyone is in the hayfield but me. I'm supposed to clean the house; fix a feast; do night chores all by myself--plus I had a client come over this afternoon for a BT session. I suppose that it would be wise for me to get to work then, but I just HAD to tell you about our upcoming trip. As my friend, Linda, used to say constantly, "God is good." Oh, I'm just so excited!!!!!!!

About the Master Cleanse, the pain is less today so I'm sure that the long soak I took yesterday afternoon did me wonders. It will be hard tonight, not to eat the Feast of Sabbath with my family, but then, "All good things are worth sacrificing for."

Happy Sabbath to all of you Sabbath keepers out there.

Hugs,

Dawn

Twenty-two Days to Empty Next

Hi everyone,   So much has happened since I wrote last time here.  Sometimes so much happens in just one day that my head spins.   My head ...
