Just in time

Good morning,

I just made Robert's and Andrew's lunches and now I'm going to enjoy my SunSplash and then I'm going to soak in my whirlpool.  It's not good when I have clients in my office today and I STILL feel like I'm 200 years old.

Just in time, though, came Pastor Prince's words in his daily email devotional.  Just in time, he reminded me that I don't have to DO anything but believe that my wonderful God in 3 persons can do ALL things, in spite of me, if I am willing to let Him.

I have been so blessed with Pastor Prince's words and I urge you to listen daily too on his website: www.josephprince.org.  You can also sign up for his free daily email to keep your heart fixed on God who never gets sick.  Can you imagine NEVER getting sick?

Today I covet your prayers as I see clients in Bismarck and get turkey feed for our baby turkeys which arrive one week from today.  I also ordered a bottle of Noni from Terrys as they haven't had it on the shelves the past 6 times that I've been in there.  They called yesterday to say that it's in, so I'm glad as that almost always snaps us out of bugs quickly and we're only 2 days away from the Republican convention now.

PLEASE open up your heart to Pastor Prince's encouraging words of grace in a works centered society.  All around the world, people try to impress God with how good they are or how much they have done for Him.  However, the Bible clearly teaches that our righteousness is as filthy rags to God.  Nothing that we can do can impress God EXCEPT to love Him.

How do we learn to love Him?  The answer is in letting go of the "Control" that we think we have over our lives, and let God have total control over who He sees us becoming day by day.  God loves us so much AND He has a plan for each life to be abundantly happy in Him.  How could we possibly improve upon HIS plan for our lives?  How could WE make this day be a happy day when we don't even know what makes us happy?

We are so fickle.  We think that, if we can have this or that, then we'll be happy.  Sometimes we think, if this person was our friend, then we'd be happy.  Others think that if they had this type of influence over others, then we'd be happy..........

Do you know what all of that is?  It's OUR trying to make OURSELVES happy.  There IS no happiness outside of God--NONE!!!  I urge you to read Pastor Prince's words and let them seep into your being.  God IS the answer to all of our problems and He IS our loving Heavenly Father.  I urge you to turn it ALL over to God right now and have a wonderful day!

Hugs to all seekers,

Dawn

God Says ‘I Will’ In The New Covenant
Hebrews 8:10,12
10
… I will put My laws in their mind… I will be their God… 12… I will be merciful to their unrighteousness… their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”

You may be feeling stressed at work today because your boss just gave you a list of things to do. Maybe he told you, “You have to type this letter. You have to meet this client. You have to write this report. You have to…” Wouldn’t it be nice if your boss had, instead, said, “I will type this letter for you. I will meet this client for you. I will write this report for you. I will…”?

Well, your boss may not be that gracious, but your Father in heaven is! When He found fault with the old covenant and established the new covenant (Hebrews 8:7–8) in His Son’s blood, His “Thou shalls” became “I wills”.

You see, under the old covenant, the focus is on youThou shall not… Thou shall not… Thou shall not… It is all about your performance, your obedience, your works. But under the new covenant, God says, “I will put My laws in their mind… I will be their God… I will be merciful to their unrighteousness… their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” It is no longer you working for God, but God working for you, in you, through you!

“Isn’t there something for me to do?” you may ask.

My friend, the only thing for you to do is to believe God’s “I wills”. The more you believe His “I wills” or promises, the more you will see His heart for you and the more your faith will grow.

It is foolish for me to just tell you, “Come on, man, have faith!” You will still find it hard to have faith because I am not giving you anything to build faith in you. But if I were to tell you all about what God says He will do for you, faith will arise in your heart. Faith is a response to knowing what God says He will do for you.

So the best thing you can “do” under the new covenant is to not focus on what you must do for God, but what God says He will do for you!
