But I will hope continually and will yet praise thee more and more! Psalms 71:14

What is YOUR nature?
I'm a naturally quiet person. I am what they call a "Happy introvert." When I can be with people, I am OVERJOYED. That's my secondary Type 1 temperament. I absolutely loved our new year's eve party and have relived that wonderful evening many times. So I enjoy having people around me--even LOTS of people--for a little while!
My basic temperament is a Type 4 though. This energy is inward with deep introspection which sometimes gets me into trouble. lol I don't know who has all heard of Carol Tuttle and her incredible book "IT'S JUST MY NATURE." That information has made it easier for me to embrace how God made me. I think I'll find a video of Carol explaining this. Be right back.
I found one. Here Carol explains the Type 4 energy we were born with. She has videos on the other 3 types also that you can find on YouTube by putting her name in the search bar. I want to emphasize that my life changed when I came to understand the strengths of the Type 4 energy. I was well aware of the weaknesses (perfectionism, judgementalism) but I hadn't been told my strengths.
Carol helped me to see myself as a whole person. Type 4s judge not only others but themselves too. I so did NOT want to be a Type 4 energy at first but that's because I had no idea what the strengths are of a Type 4. Carol does such a good job of helping people accept, and even come to admire, the person that God made them. Thank you, Carol. She's a Type 3 by the way.
I also want to share with you this wonderful devotional from The Passion Translation. How can a person not be encouraged reading these words of the passion God has for us?
Lots to think about here,
Sending love,
Dawn
Encounter God’s Heart…
Stay a While
You have found favor with the Lord. At this very moment, God is extending an invitation into blissful encounter. He is your friend. Your Creator. Your patient, merciful Father, who is absolutely in love with you and wants to spend time with you. Don’t rush through this devotion without noticing the gentle tug of God’s Spirit. Take a few moments to quiet yourself in his embrace. Stay awhile.
Be content, even if you don’t hear him say a word. Be still. Notice what it feels like to be washed in the beauty of God’s presence. Sink deep into an ocean of peace. He’s with you right now. He’s pouring out all you need for today. Gracing you with the glory of holy intimacy that is reserved for those who are willing to stay and enjoy.
Father, every breath is a reminder of your faithfulness. Each heartbeat designed to point me to your love. May an awareness of you drench my thoughts. May encounters of your nearness eclipse my busy moments. You are all I need. You are the experience I’ve longed for all of my life.
He looked up and suddenly saw three men standing nearby. As soon as he saw them, he ran from his tent to welcome them. He bowed down to the ground and said, “My Lord, if I have found favor in your sight, don’t pass me by. Stay for a while with your servant.”
