Are you Fighting a BUG?

 Hello everyone,

How is your new year going so far?  It's bitter cold here now.  I feel so sorry for my menfolk who have to go out and work in our unheated grain cleaning facility.  At least our house is warm!

Yesterday we got word that our second daughter is also "With child."  That means, if everything goes well, we'll have 2 more grandchildren by Fall!  Please keep our daughters in your prayers as neither one of them is young anymore.

Our children were raised with the pro-life agenda on steroids. With every miscarriage I had, their desire to welcome children grew and grew.  Now both of my married children are welcoming their 5th child.  Yes, it is exciting but it also makes me nervous.  So many things can go wrong BUT God is the giver of life and He has sent our family these children!

I'm busy giving BodyTalk sessions as it's flue season again.  My guys caught a nasty bug and I'm fighting it off too.  Here's a suggestion that has been helping me.  It's tea made from cloves and orange peels.  I'll include the recipe here.

I made a batch of this the other night.  I've had 3 cups of it now and my lungs really are opening up.  I recommend giving this a try.  Here's a list of things that clove tea can help with.  I think you'll see that it's worth a try!

Here's the devotional from the good folks at THE PASSION TRANSLATION.  They help me feel the presence of God more fully.  If you haven't done it yet, you may want to sign up for their emails.

Encounter God’s Heart…

Accepted

At some point, Jesus will address impure motives. Trying to make everyone happy, so they won’t think poorly of you, is a motive that stems from a fear of rejection. Doing and saying things in order to honor others is commendable, but it will lead to burnout and eventually, bitterness. It’s impossible to please both God and others, and at times, you’ll be misunderstood.

Instead of striving to earn others’ approval, live with a servant’s heart because it is your joy to do so; let it not be out of fear. Never let people bully you into service or force your obedience. Respect yourself, by letting others know how you feel in an honoring way. As you grow in your identity as the bride of Christ, you’ll gain confidence in what you are, or are not, called to do.

Father I seek to honor you in all I do. If there is any area of my life where I am led by wrong motives, reveal it to me. Help me to never trade your approval for the approval of other people. As I grow and mature, teach me how to carry myself with honor and respect both for myself and others. Let peace and wisdom guide my every decision.

Let's all live for the Lord and let Him lead us to our purpose in being on this Earth.  Mine is to help others heal naturally.  What's yours?

  Keep warm everybody,

  Dawn
