I am what?

Unless you've been called by God to do something really whacky, something considered "Fringe" by your fellow Christians, you can't really sympathize with what I've been through.   Eleven years ago God saved my life through the BodyTalk program.  Over thirty families were praying for me to survive but, when the medical system had nothing to offer me and I followed God into energy healing, those families all dumped me as if I carried the plague!!!

That was another thing that slowed down my recovery from shingles on the brain even though it was an angel who revealed to me what was killing me.  To have all of those families pray for me for months and then to have them reject me for the WAY that God healed me was ridiculous!!!!

Andrew helped me one night, as I was packing it up and hoping to find an "Acceptable" way back to good health.  I was taking my book bag full of BodyTalk manuals out to the entry way with plans to put it in the garbage the following morning.  As I walked past Andrew, I thought he would be relieved to have it all over with--all the shame of his mom being an "Evil" energy healer.

God used my son that night to straighten me out.  Andrew said slowly, 'MOOOOOOOM, what are you doing?"

I answered, just as slowly, "I'm giving it up--it's just not worth all of the stress coming in from the Christians I know."

He thought a little bit and I turned to face him feeling strongly that God would speak to me through my 17 year old son.

Then Andrew said firmly, as he pointed his finger at me "If you are letting those people talk you out of doing BodyTalk, then you have made those people more important to you than God is.  YOU HAVE MADE THEM YOUR GOD!"

I burst into tears; dropped my book bag; and went straight into my son's arms sobbing, "You are RIGHT!"

He comforted me and I picked up my book bag and headed back to my room.  I continued working on myself (and receiving BodyTalk sessions from other practitioners including Dr. Veltheim) until my brain had completely healed.  No more headaches; no more bobbing head; no more damaged memory; and no more dizziness.  You would think that those 30 families who prayed for me to survive would be happy, wouldn't you?

Christians continued turning up their noses at me when I entered the room.  To this day that hasn't changed much.  Apparently the concerns about what Christians think of me for doing BodyTalk remain unchecked and unpondered.   The case is closed!

All these years I've  known that I was called by God to help people to heal at a very deep level.  How could I help my fellow Christians, though, if they remained fearful of energy healing?  I prayed about this for YEARS until I read the Splankna book this past Summer!

Then I started having hope that Christians will start to embrace energy healing as it IS from God.  Satan and his creepies have stolen it and given it to the New Age movement and the church said, "OK, you can have it."  In fear, Christians have been rejecting the blessings that God has for them in energy healing.  When I was tempted to give up on Christians in this, Andrew would say, "Mom, you yourself were thinking it was "Way out there" until you were so ill and there was no other help."  Yes, indeed.

So I took my Splankna training in September and STILL Christians are not coming to me in droves.  Same old thing.  Even though Splankna is created by a Born again Christian who has a degree in the Bible and one in  counseling, it's still something to be feared.  Isn't it amazing how powerful the enemy's use of fear is?

So I've been praying and praying for people to open themselves up to trying Splankna and a few have.  I'm happy about that but still I feel this cloud over me when I'm around a lot of Christians.  People leave the room; people change the subject; people say "That's scary" when I want to share the good news of energy healing with them.

It bothers me because I want them to be free from the fears that make them reject me.  I hope that they will have Splankna sessions so that they can break the lies that satan uses to keep them from being totally effective for God.  Besides that, it just plain old hurts to be rejected all the time for following God's plan for my life!!

This morning I thought of a song that has blessed me over the years.  I watched the video on YouTube and wondered if Christians will be offended by the setting.  I'm sure that some will condemn me for even watching it--some Christians are like that.  );

So, if you want to know how I really feel, I hope you'll watch this video of Popeye singing I AM WHAT I AM!  I offer no more apologies for being an energy practitioner!  I offer no more apologies for being a Christian.  I accept no more rebuttals or rebuffs by people who have never even had ONE session or read SPLANKNA:REDEEMING ENERGY PSYCHOLOGY FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD!!  Either you're a truth seeker or you're not.  I am one and have been so blessed!

PS.  For those of you who haven't seen the movie, that's HIS baby.  The mom gave it to him but they stole Sweet Pea to go gambling as the baby supposedly knew who would win.  Popeye never would have wanted his baby in such a place, and used for such purposes, so he's getting the wee one out of there!  Good job, Popeye!!

I'm so happy!!

Not 2 months after I took my Splankna training, I am able to see the immense changes that have occurred in my life as a result.  I've been blessed to experience the return of joy in my life!!

Through a vow I made at the age of 14, not to enjoy singing praises to my Lord, my joy was locked up inside of me.  Most of the time I felt like I was faking being a Christian because I had such little joy.  After I prayed to break that vow, I was instantly happier.  Now music pours out of me at the strangest of times and I am happier than I ever recall being!!

I urge everyone to find a Splankna practitioner and begin the work of identifying and repenting of the lies and vows that were made at times of trauma.  I'm positive that you'll be blessed as were these folks in the video I'm sharing below.

I thought it was kind of funny when I saw buttons in class saying, "I've been Splanknaed!"  Now I wish I had one.  lol  I urge everyone reading this to experience the power of moving beyond lies that the enemy told you at moments of weakness.  You'll be so glad you gave Splankna a try--I know I sure am!  You can start by listening to this video.

God bless you all,

Dawn

You think that's OK?

Recently I found myself in a verbally abusive situation.  This person has verbally abused me before
--at my son's wedding even.  One would think that I might not be surprised at her behavior but it did catch me off guard.  Fortunately I have a prayer partner to turn to who helped me to put it all into perspective.

Yet it bugs me to think that I am still not immune to abuse!!  After working on incest recovery for 30 years, there are STILL people who can make me feel small, unimportant, and WRONG!  GRRRR

Ever since I took Splankna training in October, I've been offering FREE Splankna sessions to anyone who asks for one.  A family member of mine asked me to work on her friend who is "Having some problems now."  She mentioned that maybe I should offer to do sessions for the children also, which I did!

Now, I've seen some unruly children in my time but let's just say that it was VERY difficult to concentrate as we worked on her children on Messenger last week.  Yesterday she wrote to me that I wasn't very professional.  She was "Just being honest."

So, I really don't know what normal reactions are--I admit it.  One does not learn how to express oneself in an incestuous family.  I learned to keep my mouth shut and keep the peace in the family no matter what was done to me.

I vividly recall one Christmas eve when I hadn't seen my oldest brother for years.  I must have been about 35 years old.  He walked up to me, right in front of our father, and punched me HARD on my arm.  I hit him back just as hard as I could and walked away.  Dad said, "Dawn, what's the matter with YOU?"   I really wanted to know the truth so I retorted, "Dad, you honestly think that's ok for him to come up and punch me?"  There was no reply!

This type of thinking has bugged me all my life and it bugs me wherever I see it.  Abusive people don't care one bit about how their words (and punches or rapes) affect their victims.  If they cared, they wouldn't do that to another person.  Then when the victim realizes that they're being abused, and starts to protest, the bully "DOESN'T LIKE IT!"  BOO HOO

Before I go off on a rant, I'll just share this article with you all.  If YOU are confronted with an abusive person, I urge you to try these ideas.  They just may help.  For me with my health challenges (too much abuse in my life), I just walk away.  I remove that person from my life!  It's been the most effective form of dealing with abusive people that I've found so far.

If that isn't a possibility for you, though, you may want to try these ideas.  Another powerful tool I've found is to pray for those who are abusing me.  Turn them over to God--let HIM deal with them!!  THEY NEED HELP and our prayers may be just what they're needing.

One last point I'd like to make, before I get back to doing Splankna sessions, is this.  The damage from the attack yesterday was minimal because I have a prayer partner to turn to.  I urge EVERYONE to find someone to pray with on a regular basis.

How does it work?  It's simple. You pray for them and they pray for you.  You get together and pray.  This is a super powerful method of developing synergy in your prayer life.  Go ahead, ask someone to be your prayer partner.  It's one of the best things you can do for them and for you!  I rejoice greatly that God has given me a prayer partner this year!!  It's made such a difference for me AND for her too!!

Have a great week, dear readers.

Lots of love,

Dawn

5 Ways of Dealing with Verbally Abusive Relationships

The key to dealing with verbally abusive relationships and verbal abuse in marriage is how the victim responds to verbal abuse. Read more.
People victimized by verbal abuse in marriage, or other verbally abusive relationships, don't want to give up easily. There is love or money (or both) at stake, and they could feel that the sacrifice of walking away is too great. Victims of verbally abusive relationships most want to know how to respond to verbal abuse and how to stop verbal abuse.

Stopping Verbal Abuse in Marriage, Relationships

Those on the victim side of verbally abusive relationships simply want the abuse to stop. They cannot understand why another person would want to be cruel. Most people waste too much time wondering "why" and not enough time reframing their own mental and emotional perspectives. But this, too, is an effect of abuse. Verbally abusive people "teach" their victims' to focus outward toward them instead of inward to the victims' own perceptions and feelings. (see Verbally Abusive Men and Women: Why Do They Abuse?)

Getting Control in Verbally Abusive Relationships

The only way to stop verbal abuse in marriage or other relationships is if victims change the way they respond to it. Here are five ways a victim of verbal abuse can change their reactions to a verbally abusive spouse, co-worker, or anyone else and possibly end the abuse:
  1. Every emotionally charged situation includes three things: The activating event, the victim's beliefs about the activating event, and the victim's resulting feelings or behaviors. Too often, people jump from the event straight to the feelings/behaviors without considering their beliefs about the event. If victims change their beliefs about the abusive event (here we go again, look at her trying to control me!), then their emotions and behaviors change, too.1
  2. Recognize the difference between healthy negative emotions and unhealthy ones. Referring back to number one, victims who create beliefs that produce unhealthy negative emotions will feel things like rage, self-hatred, and anxiety. But victims whose beliefs create healthy negative emotions experience feelings like frustration, disappointment and sadness. The healthy negative feelings are appropriate (no one would be happy about being abused), but the unhealthy feelings spiral the victim into counter-productive behaviors and a feeling of being stuck in a horrible situation.2
  3. Set personal boundaries on behaviors you will not accept from other people and enforce them. Personal boundaries erode over the course of a verbally abusive relationship as the abuser gains access to the victim's safe zones. Setting personal boundaries mostly reminds the victim to be on the lookout for abusive behaviors, recognize them, and protect themselves from further emotional or mental harm.
  4. Victims of verbally abusive relationships who tell other people about the abuse find support and strength and are better able to stay clear-minded when the abuse occurs. Victims must be careful in their selection of support people. If someone in your circle consistently tells you, "You're making more of this than it is," or they insist the one who abuses you is a "good person," then they're not appropriate support.
  5. Victims who address the verbal abuse as it occurs have the opportunity to point out behavior the abuser might not realize s/he's doing. If nothing else, addressing the abuse in real-time empowers the victim and sets the stage for remembering to do numbers 1-3. The easiest response to verbal abuse is "Stop it!"3

Where's your Instant Pot?

Hi everyone,

I am soooo eager to share with you about the results of my doing Splankna for ONE WHOLE MONTH!  However, that could take awhile and I have lots to do today.  Perhaps I'll be able to do that tomorrow on my day of rest.

I can share that I owe Splankna Therapy a big thanks for helping me conquer my fears of my Instant Pot.  I bought the Instant Pot a few months ago but promptly put it in storage under my island.  I even understood why I put it out of sight.

You see, when I was growing up, my mother was learning to cook with a pressure canner.  She told me about the cautions she was given when she bought her pressure canner.  I'm not talking about the cautions mentioned in the manual that came along with her purchase.  I'm talking about the horror stories passed around between housewives about pressure canners BLOWING UP!!!

I'm uncertain as to how I worked up the courage to buy an Instant pot in the first place.  How can we ever understand ourselves??   I know that I've been wanting a friend in the kitchen ever since my daughter got married.  lol

So I've been watching videos on You Tube on how to use an Instant Pot to make marvelous food full of nutrition very quickly.  I kept watching videos and dreaming of the day when I'd have enough courage to drag my unit out from under the island.

One night, earlier this week, the day was so full that I didn't realize that it was way past the time to begin preparing the steak I had laid out for supper.  "THIS IS IT," I said to myself and out came the Instant Pot.

I watched several interesting videos and decided on the one the mom of 4 had made.  I wrote down the steps and 45 minutes later I served my guys tender, juicy steak with gravy that I made in the Instant Pot.  Nothing blew up but my fears.  Now my Instant Pot has taken it's rightful place on the counter between my coffee maker and my Bosch!!  YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, how can I credit Splankna for this success?  Well, if you read the post just previous to this one, you will have learned about collar bone statements and how to use them to reduce fears that hold us back in life.  If you haven't seen it yet, it's amazing how this works, and I urge you to watch it.

Now, I don't recall ever doing a Collarbone Statement to clear my fears of learning how to use my pressure cooker.  However, I've been doing them regularly now--like 2 - 5 a day.  Somewhere in all of that clearing out of old junk, I shed whatever was keeping me afraid to use my Instant Pot.  How do you like THAT for a side effect?

So, today I'm going to make yogurt in my Instant Pot.  How do I know?  Because I made up my mind to learn and I went in search of a video to teach me.  This one is GREAT!!!  I'll share a photo of my yogurt when it's finished!!   So, if you like me, have an Instant Pot under your island doing nothing, I urge you to do a collar bone statement to help you get over the fears and get to cooking!!  YUMMM!

Happy Preparation Day everyone!

I said WHAT?

MY JOY IS GROWING EVERY DAY!!!!

You may recall that I was able to participate in the Splankna level 1 training in Denver last month.  It has completely changed my life and the lives of those I've been privileged to work with since then!!

A Splankna session starts out with prayer for the Holy Spirit to guide the client and I to the area that needs to be addressed.  We then remove resistance to the session; find and release the central emotion that needs to go; and do the same for all supporting emotions.  Next we identify the trauma that was involved with all of these emotions.  Then we identify a vow or lie that the enemy convinced my client to believe when they were in a vulnerable time of life. The client then prays to break the vow and I seal up the session with a prayer for protection.  Lastly, we thank God for the work He has allowed us to do through our time together!   Usually there are lots of smiles and sometimes tears of joy.

Some vows that I've been privileged to help people break are "God doesn't love me;" "I will never love anyone ever again;" "God doesn't want me happy;"  "Friends aren't worth it;" "I will never say thank you again;"  "I will never trust anyone again;"  "We'll never be able to pull together to make this thing work;" "Sabbath isn't worth it;" and "God loves my sister more than He loves me!"

Can you see how believing these lies can wreck a life?  I received this testimonial from one of my Splankna clients.  I rejoice to share it with you to give you hope of a better life too!

I participated in a Splanka session with Dawn that uncovered a lie I'd believed for 30 years which was causing major anxiety symptoms.  After our time together, the symptoms were completely resolved and haven't returned.  I have felt lighter and freer ever since.  Thank you, Dawn, for the beautiful healing you guided me through.  I am deeply grateful.

I'm taking time today to share the hope I've found with this program.  I, myself, had made a vow when I was 14 years old that I would never sing wholeheartedly ever again.  My very musical family was also an incestuous family.  They killed my desire to pour myself into my singing.  Fortunately, in class, the woman who gave me my very first Splankna session was able to help me to revoke that vow!  Then I repented of all the harm that it has done in my life by my clinging to it.

The truth is that my gift is singing praises to God with the voice He has given to me.  Yes, I have noticed a difference this month in the quality of my voice.  Instead of a mere whisper, the strength of my voice is growing with the strength of my desire to use it to praise our amazing Heavenly Father!!!

You don't have to wait for a Splankna session to begin to benefit from this Christ-centered system of healing.  One of the ways that we remove resistance to the session is through collarbone statements.  This video shows you how to do them for anything that is holding you back in life.

I pray that my writing this will encourage you to find a Splankna practitioner near you!  Here's the link to the website: https://splankna.com/   God wants us well and FULLY functioning in our gifts.  He has a plan for each of us and it is GOOD!!!

God bless,

Dawn

Who will win?

Tomorrow is election day in America.  I'm once again helping with the election as a Judge.  My duties will be to initial each ballot; hand it to the voter; inform them to completely fill in the ovals by the name of the person they choose (even write-ins); give them a secrecy sleeve for their ballots; and point them to the voting booths.

It's not difficult work.  It's not inspiring work but it IS important work.  Helping to insure that the election is fair to everyone IS important.

The most important work, though, I've been doing for weeks. By encouraging everyone to vote, I am giving them a voice.  "One vote doesn't matter," is sometimes used as an excuse for not taking the time to vote.  Those who think that need to read "Horton Hears a Who!"  EVERY VOTE MATTERS!!!!!  YOUR vote matters!!!

Please keep the elections in your prayers!  That is another way you can help your/our country to choose the best leaders.  Please keep us poll workers in your prayers too!  It gets to be a long day!

Lastly, I pray that people will pull together in our country and around the world.  I pray that the peace the angels sang of on the night of Jesus's birth WILL become reality everywhere on this globe!  What marvelous things can be accomplished when people work together for the well-being of all of us!!!

We all have our opinions on things.  It's natural that there will be disagreements.  However, when our hearts are set on peace, God WILL make a way for it to happen!!  I'm thinking of a movie that I've never been able to forget.

This movie is called SILENT NIGHT and is a true story that occurred during WW2.  Both sides met in a cabin in the woods on Christmas Eve.  The blizzard outside forced them to make peace for just one night and lives were changed for the better!!  It's an amazing movie and I urge you to watch it.

In the meantime, I pray for a peaceful election day tomorrow no matter who wins!!  Even if the "Wrong person" wins, does that limit God from using that person to accomplish His purposes?  NO!

Here's a poem to give us pause as we go to the polls.  I pray that it blesses you as it did me.

For His kingdom to come on Earth,

Dawn

Pray For Election Day

Election Day is upon us
In America once more.
We will choose candidates
And vote as we have before.

What a responsibility!
For wisdom, we must pray
And make the right choices
As we vote on Election Day.

Please don't be indifferent
And say, "What'll be will be."
Try to make a Godly choice
For leaders for you and me.

Prayer makes a difference
In who wins each race,
So Christian, we must pray
And seek God's holy face.

FIVE DAYS TO THE WEDDING!!!!!

Hello everyone,   I haven't written much because we're all preparing for my son's wedding this Saturday.  I sure would apprecia...
