We choose
This was on my screen when I walked through the dining room just now. I must admit that I was a little miffed at the title. Then I read the comments below and I realized that someone was using a reverse tactic to get folks to actually take 6 minutes of their life to get to know the man who could be their next President--IF we all work together that is.
How many of you were required to read George Orwell's 1987 at some point in your education? It was during my Senior year of High School in Eureka, SD that I was required to read it. If you have read it, I am certain that you have never been able to shake the affects of it from your life.
When I gave up being a Futurist, for the peace of Preterism, I got rid of a LOT of stress! However, watching what our government is doing IS enough stress to put me back on my deathbed if I didn't have the tools that I have now. Is it possible that people don't have a clue that we are heading towards the nightmare world of 1987? I'm thankful that we've gone 25 years beyond that date, but nowadays we can hear of folks being arrested for things that they were doing which was a protected right under our Constitution. We can hear these things, if we don't close our minds to them, AND we know what we're looking for.
PLEASE, FOLKS, LISTEN TO THIS VIDEO! Pay attention to how it makes you feel. Are you empowered or weakened by the things that you hear? Then listen to our present President and ask yourself the same thing. If you want to remain free, then you have got to help us get this man elected to the position of President of the United States. As Dr. Paul spoke and voted for our freedoms 100% of the time during his 12 years in Congress, I am confident that he will continue to do so as our next President. I heard him speak in Fargo in November and he sounded just like he sounded here!
Together we CAN protect our freedoms and give our children a world like the one that we have enjoyed. TOGETHER WE CAN! We have got to get involved in the battle to preserve our great country. WHO ELSE WILL? If you're still not motivated to get involved, perhaps you need to read 1987. I'd be happy to loan you my copy if you can't find one anywhere else. I wonder if it's still available?
Anyway, I just checked out the source of the video and found it to be freedom4um. I went there and liked what I saw during my short visit. If you are interested in learning more about how our freedoms are being taken from us bit by bit, here is the link to their home page: http://freedom4um.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi Perhaps you prefer to keep your head buried in the sand of denial instead and wake up someday to living under tyranny? NOT ME--I learned in my childhood home that to keep quiet only strengthens a tyrant. DOWN WITH TYRANNY!!!!!!!!!!! God didn't create us to live under tyrants--HE CREATED US TO BE FREE--FREE TO SERVE HIM WITH OUR WHOLE BEINGS!
Freedom isn't free--the price for freedom is eternal searching out and opposing of tyranny!

Forver young
Guess who is focusing on being forever young today? Yes, it IS my birthday but I am feeling so much younger having peeled off many of the layers that kept me bogged down in the past.
They had a party for me yesterday, seeing as Cora is working at the nursing home today, and the guys have much work that needs doing in the shop. It was a lovely day for me, as it was the Sabbath, and we were all lazy together.
In the morning, we showered and had our church. We watched the 5th of a series on Preterism and it answered even more of the remaining questions that we had about the second coming of Christ to the Earth. Our hymn sing was mostly Christmas songs so that was nice. Even though we no longer observe Christmas in the ways that the world does, I still love the songs about Christ coming to Earth to be our Savior.
After lunch, Cora directed me to the living room where I saw a pile of birthday presents waiting to be opened. The first one was a bottle of wasabi paste to heat up my life--now THAT was a surprise. Then Jacob gave me a cute little flashlight for my purse to light up my life. It had 2 Samuel 22:29 inscribed which reads, "The Lord turns my darkness into light." AMEN
Next there were 2 packages from Cora which proved to be enough snowmen place mats for us all plus a snowman table runner. I was so excited as you can see in this photo. ;)
Cora also gave me a set of lovely cutting boards. Ours are in terrible shape and these are so lovely. Has anyone seen cutting boards with pictures? These gave me hope that Winter won't last forever.
That's my exercise ball but everyone likes to use it for a chair, stool, or coffee table. These 2 have always been very close which brings me great joy! Perhaps you can see that large teddy bear near Cora and Andrew?
Well, one year when they were very small and we were nearly penniless, God had me win him in the drawing in Bismarck. We named him Trevor and that was the biggest present these 2 had ever seen. Trevor has been leaned on; layed on; stepped on...... for 20 years and he was very dirty. He's been in my closet for a few years now but last week I decided to see if I could get him cleaned up. I was so pleased to see the improvement and he's back in the living room again. Everyone is so glad to have him back with us again.
Here Jacob is bracing himself for the hug that I gave him. He gave me the cutest kitchen timer in the world. There's a pasture and barn on the base and this sweet Holstein on the top which you turn to set the clock. There are even some daisies in the grass and a butter churn beside the cow. It is SOOOO cute!

I received a variety of awesome DVDs for our family entertainment. Because we all love THE GIFT OF THE MAGI, it came in a collection of 5 of O.Henry's short stories.
Last year we met Mrs. Miracle in the first Mrs. Miracle story and yesterday I received the second one. Although I liked the actors better in the first one, this one touched on the plight of military families which was just awesome. Mrs. Miracle seemed a little more pushy in this episode but then, I'm starting to realize, sometimes love DOES need a little push to get the ball rolling.
I received this lovely card from my mother-in-law on Friday when we were up in Mandan celebrating with them. You can tell that my primary love language is WORDS OF AFFIRMATION as this card is worth tons more than the crisp $20 bill that was included. Isn't it beautiful?
On the outside it reads, "Just for you, Daughter-in-law on your birthday and always."
On the inside it reads, "Having a daughter-in-law like you makes life a lot easier. Thanks for being there so often, so willingly, so lovingly. Thanks for being you. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" These words mean a lot to me today as I once again grieve an absent father.
My children are incredible though. I had been thinking of buying a skull and/or a skeleton. In classes, the instructor often holds up the skull or the skeleton to point out which bone we're dealing with.
Cora and Jacob gave me this set of 4 "Puzzles" to put together and then share with my clients. So many times I have wished that I had a visual to show where in the body we're workings. Now I do!!!
This is a picture of Robert and Cora. He must have been camera shy yesterday.
Today has been a wonderful day too although I didn't sleep in. I got up planning to start my birthday with a BodyTalk session for myself. I've been meaning to do this ever since I got home from Calgary and "Just haven't had the time." TODAY IS THE DAY! I still haven't done it yet, though, as there was a kitchen to clean up and lots of other things to do to return the house to normal after our wild and crazy party here yesterday. ;) It IS next on my agenda though.
Anyway, my day started with a phone call from my precious sister-in-the-Lord and heroine, Elizabeth Hanson. She called to wish my a happy birthday which totally made my day. Later in the morning I had a phone call from Robert's aunt who has been close to us since we lived in Bismarck. She wished us all a Merry Christmas and me a happy birthday. Then my brother, Russell, called for the same reason. We talked almost an hour and it was so wonderful to have at least one family member who cares about me. He really does and it means so much to me!
Then we had lunch; Cora went to work after we played a few piano duets; the guys headed out to the shop; and I am writing to all of you. I must share with you about John now. I met John in AnimaltalkMissoula this Summer and at Module 9 in Calgary a few weeks ago again. In fact, John also wished me a happy birthday in an email this morning. I checked my emails on my iPod first thing and found a birthday greeting from this new friend.
You know how Russell is my biological brother? Well, I have brothers in the Lord too and they're just awesome. Well, John is a BodyTalk brother--in other words, we speak the same language. It is soooo nice to be able to talk to a man about family matrixes or cellular repair or active memories............. We don't have any men BodyTalkers in North Dakota and I praise God that He gave me John as BodyTalk brother. Actually I praise God for EVERYONE that He brings into my life and that includes YOU!
Well, it's my birthday and I'll do what I want to (how selfish, but then it only comes once a year) so I'm off to give myself that long awaited BodyTalk session. Then I think I'll take a long soak in the whirlpool with the newly painted walls; fix us up some supper; and settle in with the guys to watch Irving Belin's WHITE CHRISTMAS which I also received for my birthday. Oh, I forgot to say that the other movie I received for my birthday was FRIENDLY PERSUASION which was just awesome about a Quaker family. What does thou think of this?
I WISH THEE A MERRY CHRISTMAS................

And the winners are:
Hi everyone,
What a wonderful day we spent together as a family yesterday. I am continually amazed how refreshing it is to totally rest. I slept in until 10:00; took a shower; and got lunch ready as Cora was working on a cake.
After lunch, and after our sing fest, we dug into our newest Preterist resource hot off the presses. It's put out by the INTERNATIONAL PRETERIST ASSOCIATION, INC (www.preterist.org) and it's simply called: Garrettsville Seminar 2011.
Ed Stevens, who is the president of the IPA, spoke on the beginning of our life on this planet. He said that it's critical to the understanding of the resurrection of Christ. We learned that Adam and Eve, although mortal, had the gift of immortality by eating of the tree of life every day. However, when they sinned, it would have been unbearable to live forever in sinful bodies so they had to be driven from the garden. It made me realize that death actually is a blessing when a person refuses to surrender their life to God and experience His peace on this Earth. This gave a new perspective to things.
After church, I rested and listened to Dr. Coldwell's STRESS RELIEF FOR CHRISTAN'S. I have learned to listen at least once a day so that stress doesn't build up inside of me and the deterioration of sin start to wear me down again. It doesn't matter if it's my sin, or someone who has sinned against me, both of them wear me down. Dr. Coldwell gets me in touch with God again by focusing on the need for me to repent of my sin and to forgive those who sin against me. IT'S ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!
When I woke up refreshed, the Lord spoke a new thought. "What would it do to your wrist if you would start playing Foosball?"
"WHAT? Boy Lord, you say the strangest things."
However, when I began to ponder this topic I realized that Foosball playing uses my wrist in the opposite way that doing sessions does. I believe that I have shared what problems I've been having with my wrist these past few months. Doing so many sessions, and then writing down the links, has caused a muscle in my arm to get way too tight.
The massage therapist that I got to know in Fundamentals class has worked on it twice and that has helped a lot. She also recommended that I buy a small rubber ball and roll my arm on it between sessions. This has helped quite a bit too but, with all of the sessions that I did last week, my wrist has been very sore.
I shocked my boys yesterday when I came out of my bedroom and said, "Does anybody want to go and play Foosball?"
"WHAT? Mom wants to play Foosball--let's go."
We played 8 games and my wrist felt much more loose than it has in months!!! I have been avoiding playing as looking down, plus the general tension of playing with the professionals around here, usually made my neck and head ache. Can you believe it--8 games?
After that we had supper and, being as I had offered to milk Sally to give Andrew a break, I headed out into the snowy, very crisp air to milk old Sally. She was kind of goofy and couldn't decide if she wanted her BodyTalk session or not.
Finally I got that there was an interference which is that she is afraid that Andrew will sell her. I told her that this had not been decided yet, and that all of her worrying about it isn't doing any good. Then she let me do her AnimalTalk session and she was much happier. I am continually amazed how much stress relief can come out of a session!
After that we watched HOW THE WEST WAS WON! Boy, am I ever glad that we don't live in those days. I like to think that I've got lots of courage but, boy, nobody is trying to take my scalp off of my head--THANK GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lastly I gave consideration to my "Problem." This year 2 ladies have entered my contest for a free session. I just wasn't sure what to do as I love both of these women. Now, if 100 people had entered, then I'd chose one but seeing as 2 have entered, I have decided to give them BOTH a free session. Kimberly and Gwen, please send me an email so that we can set up a time to do your blogiversary sessions and CONGRATULATIONS.
Well, it's a new week. Today we're going to Mandan for Robert's mom's birthday. Tomorrow we have our Constitution meeting in Napoleon; Tuesday is sessions, Wed.................. Please pray with me for a lovely day to work our calves. Things have been so hectic around here that the dastardly deed has been pushed off and last night we had SNOW. It makes me very nervous.
Thanks for listening to my ramblings. Have a great week everyone!

Cranford
We're off to the Dagley farm to help them plan for Prairie Days AND to learn how to write our own wills. Their lawyer neighbor is coming over to share with us and, seeing as this has been on our minds a lot over the years, we will go and see how to take care of this once. Last week, one of Robert's customers had a brother die suddenly. This was the nudge from the Lord that we needed to take this responsibility seriously. More on this later.
Our Sabbath was wonderful. We sang hymns for about half an hour and then I continued reading in BEYOND THE END TIMES. I cannot urge you too much to read this book! We'd be happy to loan you a copy as we have two, if you feel the Lord leading you to the truth in this area of understanding end time prophecy. It's a real eye-opener.
We started studying about Preterism about 10 years ago. Recently, though, Andrew asked if we might revisit this subject as he was so young the first time that we studied it. His comments are a blessing as we revisit this subject. I have become even more impressed with the urgency to help people understand that our very faith is at stake if He didn't come when He said He would!!!!!!!!! Here's the link to the International Preterist Association in case any of you are curious to learn more about this: http://www.preterist.org/
After church we watched Cranford. I should say that the rest of the day we watched the DVD Cranford which I checked out at the Bismarck library. WOW!!! What an amazing story about the need to TELL THE TRUTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, I need to get changed to go "Calling," so I wish you a great week in the Lord!!! I'm sharing some old time pictures because, as usual, the British Broadcast Company has once again got me dreaming about the "Good, old days."
In His service,
Dawn
