WOW has this been a crazy week!! With the late snows, the Spring grain cleaning season got pushed back a couple of weeks. Of course, now all of the farmers want their grain cleaned TODAY. Robert and Andrew have been putting in extremely long days with their portable grain cleaning systems out on the farms. Up at the plant, Jacob and Michael have been putting in extremely long days trying to do the work of 4 people.
Everyone is REALLY dragging around here so we rejoice that Sabbath has come and we can get a rest! How wise our loving Heavenly Father is to plan a weekly rest for us!!!
As I was pondering how to express our exhaustion, this song came to my mind. I remember my parents singing it at the end of their hectic farming weeks. I "Get it" so much better now why they drug themselves to church; sang half heartedly; then drug themselves home and slept all afternoon.
For those of you who are weary today, too, from a long week's work I dedicate this song to you! Just ask God for a peaceful rest and renewed strength for the coming week. Ask Him to fill you up with His strength, His stamina, His resiliency; and His power but first REST TODAY!
