Master Cleanse 4 ~ Day 4

I am elated!!!!!!!!!!!!! Robert said, "GO." You see, I have been dreading this awful auction sale ever since mom died over a year ago. I feel your prayers and it's getting better, but it's still starting to get me down. Now our good Lord has given me something else to think about.

I can't recall if I told you about radionics or not, but it's a natural way to kill weeds and insects. As organic farmers, we're seeking constantly for non-chemical ways to solve our problems. Well, we bought a radionics machine a few months ago and have been using it on our farm. It's a little bit like jumping into brain surgery, and we've been trying to get some information on how to use the thing.

Last July we ordered a 12 video course called, "Radionics in Agriculture" from ACRES USA. It is a year now and we still have not received the course although I have been told countless times that it is on back order. Now I'm wondering if the Lord did that so that we would open up our minds to another opportunity to learn about this incredible machine.

To make a long story short, we've been talking here for several weeks about attending the class that the makers of our machine is hosting the first 2 days in August. Well, today I called them (Kelly Research Institute) and asked how full the class is getting. Cathy there said that there are 18 people signed up and they're thinking of stopping at 20, although the teacher is willing to go to 25. Cathy said that this would be crowded, so it was a good thing that I called as soon the class will be full.

Well, when I called Robert on his cell and told him all of these details, he very strongly said, "GO." Jacob and I are so excited as we are the ones who get to make the trip. We spent the morning checking out things like hotel rooms; airline tickets; and rental cars. NEVER IN MY LIFE WOULD I HAVE IMAGINED SUCH A THING--GOING ON A TRIP WITHOUT ROBERT!!!!!!!

Still, the Lord has given me peace that He will work out the details. Here's one example. The people at Kelly suggested that I call the Bed and Breakfast 1 block away from them to find a place to stay. They were booked up. Cathy at Kelly had also suggested a nice place on the river, but that was way out of our budget. The Bed and Breakfast lady gave me the number of another place, which we called, and found that they were booked for a wedding.

I was getting nervous about finding a room when the "Booked for a wedding" place gave me the number of another place. This sweet woman named Gloria, with a gentle Southern drawl, answered the phone and told me that they had openings for the dates we need. She told me that the suite has 2 private bedrooms AND 2 private bathrooms AND a kitchenette. "Oh boy," I thought, "we'll never be able to afford that." When she told me the price, and it was less than one room in the fancy place, I told her that we'll take it for 3 nights.

Here is the link to the website for Tiger Creek Falls Inn, where we'll be staying for 3 days. I just spent a little time visiting Grandpa and Grandma there and I know that you will enjoy seeing their lovely home too! They look like our kind of people: http://www.tigercreekfallsinn.com. Just think-- 3 days staying by a waterfall!!!

Grandma Gloria called me, "Honey" and I felt so at peace, for I could see that the Lord IS going to work all things out for good to those who love Him--US. Now for the airline tickets............ I wish that you could see Jacob--he's just coming to life! This is something that he is VERY good at and now he will get to learn more about the machine which may well be a part of his life's work.

Well, this afternoon everyone is in the hayfield but me. I'm supposed to clean the house; fix a feast; do night chores all by myself--plus I had a client come over this afternoon for a BT session. I suppose that it would be wise for me to get to work then, but I just HAD to tell you about our upcoming trip. As my friend, Linda, used to say constantly, "God is good." Oh, I'm just so excited!!!!!!!

About the Master Cleanse, the pain is less today so I'm sure that the long soak I took yesterday afternoon did me wonders. It will be hard tonight, not to eat the Feast of Sabbath with my family, but then, "All good things are worth sacrificing for."

Happy Sabbath to all of you Sabbath keepers out there.

Hugs,

Dawn

Progress

Dear friends,
Our experience with the GMO wheat battle in 2002 was the beginning of our political involvement. I'll always remember that hot day in July, as our crops were drying up, sitting with 3 children all day as we listened to testimony from EVERY realm of life (except Monsanto's of course) how GMO wheat would destroy our farm economy!!!!! How well I recall our education THAT day! How well I recall our subsequent houndings of our congressmen in Bismarck only to hear the same thing over and over, "Republicans are NOT opposed to progress."

This was when Robert got busy and testified in front of the ag committee about how GMO wheat would destroy, not only our organic farm, but also our cleaning business. I am very pleased to announce that OUR REPUBLICAN SENATOR was the only one who voted against the introduction of GMO wheat. WHY? Because Robert took the time out of his very busy schedule to personally sit down with our Senator and show him that HE is representing US.

THAT WAS WHEN I GOT MY FIRST GLIMMER OF HOPE THAT WE DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO OUR REPRESENTATIVES.

To make a long story short, all of the other Republicans voted against protecting us from destruction. In other words, they IGNORED all of the expert testimony advising them of the dangers to our state and to our state's farms if they would not act to block Monsanto's moves to force us to accept GMO wheat pollen into our atmoshpere.

What happened then is that the group we were involved with, DAKOTA RESOURCE COUNCIL, got a grass roots campaign going. Through MANY people talking against this, Monsanto withdrew their campaign and WE WON. What this taught us was that a lot of people working together can even stop an international corporation who will use ANY methods to get what they want. What do they think they can take over the whole world and we're just going to lay down and and let them???????????//

So this morning, when I read this new release from Parental Rights.org, I was again greatly encouraged. We hear so much rubbish about big business and big government that it serves to make us feel small and insignificant. Can you see now that this is EXACTLY HOW THEY WANT US TO FEEL????????

Please take a few moments to sign the petition for the PARENTAL RIGHT'S AMENDMENT to pass. EVERY LITTLE PERSON IS A VOICE WHICH, WHEN JOINED TOGETHER, WILL BE HEARD!!!!!!!! Every person who can grasp this concept IS progress.

Turning America Back: What Brown's Election Means
One week ago, the unthinkable happened; the state of Massachusetts elected a Republican senator, and that in an election with a very high voter turn-out. Since then, we’ve heard countless pundits telling us precisely what Senator Brown’s election does and does not say about our nation. As a general rule, of course, no two of these pundits can actually agree.Regardless of what the “experts” say, it’s clear to us that Americans are simply tired of out-of-control government and even more out-of-control spending. We want less government, more respect for our money and our personal rights, and greater control over our elected officials. We’re tired of telling our lawmakers what we want, only to have them ignore us and spend billions of dollars on whatever they feel like anyway. We want to turn back to the days of limited government and strong personal responsibility. We want to get back to respect for the Bill of Rights, which preserves personal liberties by placing specific government limits into the text of the Constitution.

The proposed Parental Rights Amendment does exactly that. Our government federalized banks, then federalized the auto industry; it is in the final throes of a failed attempt (we hope) to federalize health care. But it is still in a position to federalize child rearing through court decisions and the potential ratification of the Convention on the Rights of the Child. By prohibiting the government from intruding on parental liberties except in cases of abuse or neglect, the proposed Parental Rights Amendment mirrors the example of the Bill of Rights and turns back a government bent on control. Please click here to sign the petition to support it.
Action Item
We urge you to help in two concrete ways this week. First, pass the above message on to all of your freedom-loving friends and family members, and urge them to sign the petition at parentalrights.org. Second, pass the message along through Facebook, Twitter, blogs or bulletin boards, especially those you frequent and those connected with freedom organizations or the new freedom/Tea Party movement.
Together, let’s get the word out about parental rights. For many lawmakers, it was the last thing they heard before the din of Health Care drowned everything out. Let’s grow our list toward making it the first thing they hear in the ensuing quiet as well!

To summarize my thoughts, I decided to share this quote that Jacob just read to me from Marian Wright Edelman, founder of the Children's Defense Fund. What do you think of this thought? "So often we think we have got to make a difference and be a big dog. Let us just try to be little fleas biting. Enough fleas biting strategically can make a big dog very uncomfortable."

GO FOR IT,

Best day

This is the best day that I've had in a loooooooong time. I called the Assisted Living facility in Eureka this morning. The nurse there told me that dad is doing, "Just great." It's been a looong time since I've heard those words in relation to my dad, so I was glad that my friend had prepared me for this possability with her email.

The nurse went on to say that my dad has been doing so well in lots of ways. His walking is more stable; their exercise program is decreasing the pain in his shoulders; he eats well; and is well liked. THIS LAST PART IS THE SHOCK OF THE DECADE.

Then Lettie said, "In fact, we nurses were talking yesterday that Harvey has adjusted to his new home better than ANYBODY WE HAVE EVER SEEN!" How could I resist? I told her that I've been doing BT on dad for several months now. I said that he didn't seem to be doing all that great, even with his sessions, but now that he has a more positive home envioronment, he's taking off. She said that he had just told her that he was going to the bank this morning. WOW--after all of the concern for dad this past year, to think that the worst could be over made this day the best day that I've had in a looooong time.

Then I got a call around supper time that a family needs sessions for their 10 year old son. I just finished that first session and was so encouraged when the mom said, "Wow--that is so neat. Now I want to try it to see what would come up for me!" :) Do you suppose I can find some time to work her in????????????
Just now, though, the day got EVEN sweeter. Robert likes to read at the Organic Consumer's Assocition's site. I noticed the title to this post and just HAD to share it. Ever since hearing Percy Schmiser's story at the organic convention years ago, we've dreamed of the day when Monsanto will have to close it's doors from bankruptcy. I'll have to share that later, but for now I'd like to share this bit of good news from France.

Keep smiling,

Dawn

GMO Giant Monsanto Loses Another Day in Court
By Aaron Turpen Natural News, Oct 29, 2009 Straight to the Source
France's highest court has ruled that Monsanto lied about the safety of its weed killing herbicide Roundup. The decision came just days ago and confirms an earlier court judgment in France finding that Monsanto had falsely advertised Roundup as being "biodegradable" and that it "left the soil clean."The original case was brought to court in 2001 by several French environmental groups alleging that Roundup's main ingredient, glyphosate, has a classification as "dangerous to the environment" by the European Union. That case drug on for years and finally ended in a ruling against Monsanto in 2007. 1The GMO giant quickly appealed and that appeal was heard in 2008 in the Lyon court. Monsanto lost that case as well. They appealed again. This time it went to France's Supreme Court; it lost that hearing and now faces fines and nowhere else to go for further appeals. The court levied a 13,800 Euro fine against the company (about $22,400USD). Monsanto is also looking at continued losses with fourth quarter losses of $233 million (US), mostly due to plummeting sales of the Roundup brand.2 So far, Monsanto has made no public statement about the court`s ruling, but it is also possible that the ruling could mean civil cases from farmers and communities harmed by the false advertising. That could mean millions of dollars more in losses.Roundup is the world's best-selling herbicide and is marketed as a weed-killer to both commercial farmers and home owners. Monsanto is also the world`s largest purveyor of genetically modified seeds (GMO seeds). Often, the seeds are sold in conjunction with Roundup, the seeds being modified to be "herbicide tolerant" (HT-ready).Some have argued that these GM crops and seeds are worse for the environment and could be a real problem. Crop failures of GMO seeds in Africa have highlighted the lack of a crop diversity issue while other studies have found that GM versus non-GM seeds have little or no bearing on higher yields, as seed companies like Monsanto have claimed.

We passed!

I just got these pictures this morning so I'm adding them at the top of last night's post as it's such a pain to drag them down to the bottom. Anyway, Cora snapped this of me last night while I was cleaning the grill in preparation for the steaks without me knowing it. Note the "New" deck which I just love!!!
Poor Millie. She sat in the patio door and looked at us while we were feasting. Robert felt sorry for her. He cut the meat off of his Porterhouse bone and took her the bone so she could feast with us. It's a dog's life, you know. :)

Well, it's over. In many ways it's the worst day of the year as the inspector comes out and analyzes everything that we are doing here on our farm, SEEDS OF HONOR. If he/she puts too many red marks on her report, we get a letter from our certifying agency, INTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATION SERVICES, saying that we had better shape up or they'll pull our certification. This has never happened to us.

If that would ever happen to a farmer, he no longer can claim to be a certified organic farmer. This hurts big time as most buyers will not buy your crops unless you have the paperwork proving that you have been inspected by a reputable inspecting firm. So far, we only know of one farmer who didn't pass his inspection and that was because he planted GM corn in one of his fields on his 3rd year. How very sad that made us as he was so close to getting the premiums for his 3 years of transitioning away from chemical use. Instead of working with the agency, he just gave up on organics which made us even more sad. I guess that old saying is true, "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink."

Over the years, we've gotten a few "B" report cards but nothing that a little more attention to paperwork won't fix. It was that way today but we also got much praise for the cleanliness of our fields. Liz, the inspector we got today, said that our fields are very clean compared to a lot of organic fields. She praised our heavy use of alfalfa to squeeze out the noxious weeds which plague all farmers to some degree. Yes, chemical farmers have problems with noxious weeds too--just ask them. :)

I really liked Liz and wished that she lived closer. She's from up in the Carrington area. Being we had a 30 mile drive to our fields by Hazelton, I went along to visit with her. Liz understands that all plants (people and animals too) have their own frequency. I mentioned BodyTalk and she thought it was cool as she understands that microbes all have frequencies too and that they can be killed by strengthening the body to fight against their frequency. I told her about Radionics as she has a section of ground that she's in charge of and wants to take care of weeds without toxic chemicals too.

Liz shared with us about bio dynamic farming. She said to goggle it and study what the rest of the world already knows about nurturing the soil naturally. Liz said that in Germany ALL farming is done bio dynamically which builds the soil to produce healthy plants which makes a healthy populace. It's so interesting to learn that God IS working all around the world to bring healing to His people--we just don't hear about it. Thanks, Liz, for broadening our horizons once again. :)

After Liz left, Jacob and I hopped in the van and headed for Napoleon to pick up longer bolts for the swing set. We all know that tomorrow Robert will be back hauling again and we want to "Use" his strength and know-how as much as possible. We also needed some orange and yellow paint for the seats as we decided to do the colors of the rainbow.

Scottie, in Napoleon Cenex, is a gem beyond measure. He is such an awesome handy man. We watched him mix up the paint and, on the way home Jacob said to me, "I think that Scottie is their biggest asset in there." Isn't that great coming out of a 13-year-old boy?

Well, we got home, after searching Napoleon for a 7th bolt, and Robert located one down in Kintyre. GOOD GRIEF. Jacob and I jumped in the van AGAIN and drove the 1 1/2 miles down to the Titan dealer in Kintyre and got the last missing bolt. That makes 3 trips in the van that I took this afternoon--it just isn't done. I'm a home body. :)

So, after I delivered the paint to Cora so that she could finish painting the seats and the bolts to the guys, I headed out to the garden for some beets. My plan was to make a special feast in honor of our inspection being over and it was a success. The beets were wonderful (the first this year) plus I grilled Porterhouse and T-Bone steaks on the grill. We always save the porterhouse steaks for special occasions and passing our organic inspection is something to celebrate. We also had fresh lacto-fermented bread and chocolate, zucchini cake, so it was definitely a feast.

Well, I need to go wash up the calf bottles for chores so I don't have time to post the pictures of the swing set, but I'll do so tomorrow. Suffice it to say that the swing set is currently laying across the driveway, thus blocking it, so I'm sure it'll be a late night. Robert needs to get out of here in the morning with the truck so that thing has to go in the holes TONIGHT. You can check Cora's post from this morning to see all of the wonderful pictures she's taken so far.

Out to the barn,

Dawn

Curling anyone?

Hi everybody,   It's been busy here with lots of sick clients needing my help.  Then, too, my large family seems to need my help for so...
