My incredible blessings

Hi everyone,
Being I find myself alone this afternoon, I decided to post a nice, long narrative of the things that I'm most thankful for.  Cora has been doing this every day this month, which is a lovely thought, but it's been impossible for me to accomplish.
I'm starting with Thanksgiving day which began very early for me.  Cora had to work in the afternoon which meant that the 15 pound turkey had to be tender by noon.  I am humbled to admit that I used Stove Top Stuffing as Robert and I had made a late trip to Bismarck the night before to pick up building materials for the shop.
When we had entered Dans, I said to Robert, "I'm not even sure if we have any bread at home to make stuffing with."  Being I don't eat bread any more, I don't pay that much attention to it nowadays.  "Better buy some Stove Top Stuffing," he had said, so I did.
It smelled wonderful as I forked through it after the 5 minutes of it setting in the boiling buttered water.  I stuffed the turkey in the usual places; buttered the breast with salt and pepper added; protected the wings and thighs with tin foil; and slid the whole mass into the oven by 6:30 AM.
Being I was pretty sore from so many sessions last week, I took a wonderful soak in the whirlpool as the rest of the family woke up.  Then Cora and I got to work in the kitchen and did we ever have fun!
The staff at the nursing home always has potlucks on holidays and Cora had decided to make a Thanksgiving table cake as her contribution to the day.  You can see her turkey here and, if you look closely, you can see that she stuffed hers too--wonder if it was Stove Top Stuffing too!  You can see a picture of the completed cake over at her blog.  The next day she shared all of the wonderful responses to her cake with the cutest one being, "I ate 2 plates."
Here is a picture of my darling daughter with the cake in the foreground.  She made a lovely table runner too.
I'm not much good at cake decorating but, when I saw that Cora had a little bit of red fondant left, I said, "Why not make a big heart out of it."  Cora took my suggestion and, when I saw that there was a small bit of green fondant left, I made a great big B out of it and put it on top of the heart.  Four Bornemanns shared the fondant treat at lunchtime but I passed as I am trying to minimize sugar too.
When I was out at chores that morning, I took a few pictures of things that I'm thankful for.  Here are our 2 dogs, Millie and Lady.  After goats, I'd have to say that dogs are my favorite animals.
Jacob said, "What are you taking a picture of, Mom?"  "The alfalfa," I answered.  Being our small grain crops were poor, we especially appreciate all of the wonderful alfalfa the Lord blessed us with this year.  Further, he's opened up doors for our hay to go to Texas and to Oklahoma, so now we have the money to work on our shop!  PRAISE THE LORD!
I think everyone has posted about the shop project.  We've been wanting to do this ever since we moved here 8 years ago.  However, funds are always tight, but it's also a big chunk of work.  Now that Andrew is into buying cars that need work; repairing them; and then reselling them, he has a need for a warm shop too, hence the work is going forward with gusto.
Thanksgiving afternoon, Jacob and I painted the side of the wall which will be heated while Robert and Andrew finished putting the chipboard on the other side of the wall.  There will be cold storage on the other side of this wall now but this will leave plenty of room to get a tractor and some smaller vehicles in here to work on.  It will be nice to have the feeding tractor in a heated area this Winter too.
Those are the only pictures that I have from Thanksgiving Day, but when I looked through the November pictures on my computer, I found these to share with you.

Have you been to Scheels in Bismarck lately?  If so, it would be impossible to miss the tribute that they have made to freedom.  Jacob and I were so impressed as there were these life-sized statues of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Ronald Reagan.
You know how the ACLU is saying that we can't have the 10 Commandments etc on public property?
Well, this just goes to show that human ingenuity CAN win over bullheadedness.  Jacob and I were so thrilled as we read on the placards beside our former presidents various of their quotes.  There were statements like, "A nation without God is doomed for failure,"  "We need the Bible to guide us so that we can please our God who formed this great nation....................
I was so thrilled to see God honored in this way, that I asked Jacob to take my picture beside this statue of one of the greatest minds to ever live.  Long have I admired Thomas Jefferson--don't we look good together?
Now we're jumping to Fargo where Andrew and I attended the delegates training workshop.  Here we met Robert Brown who is the branch supervisor over our area in the John Birch Society.  Mr. Brown did a wonderful workshop on economics and he honored Andrew with a picture.
You must imagine our surprise, when we looked up towards the end of the day, to see Dr. Ron Paul in the room with us.  I shook his hand, as did everyone else within reach.  When he permitted pictures to be taken with him, Andrew didn't wast much time taking his turn.  As I snapped this picture, I remembered the Dick Van Dyke episode where Rob's uncle had his picture taken with Abe Lincoln before Abe was our President.  HMMMMMMMMMMM.
Later we went to the Fargo Civic Center and heard Dr. Paul speak about his views of how to save our country.  He painted a glum picture, to be sure, but with God's help I know that we CAN turn this country around again.  This was such a special day spent with Andrew!
We were so happy to see some "Old" friend there too.  This is
Tim and Louisa Stegman and below is Tim's brother, Andrew
with his little cutie, Carrie.

I'm not sure why my computer is being stubborn and won't let me move my pictures back in order but that's how it is sometimes.

I'm very thankful for these young people who are serving the Lord and are building their homes upon the principles of God's word.  I'm also thankful that my children plan to do the same when their time comes.  As you can see in the picture below, my Andrew is celebrating his 21st birthday by going bar hopping.  He laid out a bunch of bars on the ground; asked Cora to come out and take his picture; and then proceeded to jump over the bars.   He came into the house laughing and said, "I've always wanted to go bar hopping and now I have."
Praise the Lord for helping us to raise 3 people in the next generation who will not waste their money, and their health, on alcohol!
 Here's another one.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future," Jeremiah 29:11.  Praise God that He is leading our lives and he's guiding us to raise our children to receive the blessing of God in their lives.
As I looked through some more pictures from the year, my mind was opened to see other blessings that I am thankful for.  I dearly love acting in Godly plays and it gives me joy that my children have picked this up from their mother.  I'm sure that you all remember Barney from the Andy Griffeth show.  Well, we have our very own Barney now.  :)
I'm also thankful for the Appleseed Project which is helping folks all around the country learn how to shoot and defend themselves if need be.
I'm very thankful to know how to operate a radionics instrument.  I'm also thrilled to know those who make them AND teach others how to use them!
I'm thankful for the annual Prairie Days celebration at the Dagley farm and the friends that we meet there.
I'm thankful to be an organic farmer/rancher and that the cattle are home for the Winter.  It always feels so much more homey when they are nearby.
I'm thankful for a husband who can build anything.  We were just talking about the huge number of building projects that he's taken up in our 31 years of marriage.  Here he is on top of the Quonset on Friday afternoon cutting the hole for the stovepipe.
Here are my 2 sons holding the ladder for their papa.  If ever 2 sons were opposites, it's these 2, but I love them both with all my heart!  Andrew, so assertive and brave, and Jacob, with such quiet strength, how proud of them I am!  How happy I am that they are brothers and that they can help each other through life--each one strong where the other is weak.  Isn't that like the Lord--putting us together in families so that we can learn from each other and ALL can become better people IF we are willing to let Him change us.
I guess I could talk all day about how much I love my family and how happy I am that we are Christians, Americans, North Dakotans, Organic farmer/ranchers, Sabbath keepers, home schoolers, Birchers, energy workers, gun owners, dog lovers, gardeners, car restorers.....  However, somehow it seems most important to say that I am happy that we are lovers.
Over the years, many folks have had supper at our house and left with lighter hearts.  Many have spent the night with us and woke to the sound of our roosters calling, "It's a beautiful morning."  Many more have come for tea and found themselves smiling and laughing and, even sometimes, throwing dinner rolls in a food fight.  My heart grows happiest at the thoughts of those who have come burdened down with cares of this world, and who have left knowing that SOMEBODY cared about them, and knowing that this somebody was our family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As the love chapter says in I Corinthians, all that we do is for nothing if we do not have love.  I'm reminded of the numerous times that we dear friend, Sarah Keister would say, "Your children are so warm, Dawn--indeed, your home is so warm."
Now THAT is what makes me the most thankful of all as I ponder the hatred that I inherited.  Only God could reach into such a war-torn heart, and produce a legacy of happy hearts coming out of my home.  Praises to the King who has healed my wounded heart and placed there instead a heart of compassion for the sick, wounded, and hurting.

Say there, want to come over for tea?
Eternally thankful for God's love in my life,
Dawn

I'm appalled

Truly, it takes a lot to totally disgust me, but I am appalled.  Years ago, when I learned that creative spelling was being introduced into the South Dakota school system, I wondered what would be the outcome.
Over the years, I've seen signs of it's making head ways into our written language.  Usually my children and I just shake our heads and laugh over some of the poor writing on billboards, or in advertisements, and especially in the superintendent's reports in our local newspaper.
I have tried to become less critical over the years, but this is just too much!  I received this email in my inbox this morning.  Andrew usually has some of his revamped computers for sale and I usually can read the replies that come in response to his ads.  However, this one was the worst--so far.
It especially hit me hard in light of Cora's recent post where the young man demonstrated how far our daily English usage has swerved from the written word.  Now, I THINK I know what he is trying to say, but let's see if you can figure it out.
Any guesses?

Have you made YOUR Springtime resolutions?

I get so many things to read that I often get confused by what my priorities really should be, moment by moment, and I end up deleting a lot of stuff. When this came in from a VERY well respected BodyTalk Instructor, though, I decided to read what he said about Spring being the BEST time to make changes in our lives. Even if you're one of those who can't take time to read a lot right now, scroll down to the bottom and read the BT joke. I'm still laughing as I'm off to make supper for my family.

Each of the seasons correspond to one of the Five Elements, and the associated movements of contraction and expansion, for each element captures our stages of psychological expression. Wood corresponds to Spring and represents rebirth, re-growth and new beginnings.

Wood is an expansive energy that brings us out of the contracted nature of Winter which corresponds to Water. Just as trees contract their resources in Winter, we need a time for processing the events of the previous year and taking stock of our lives. Water represents death and an opportunity to let outdated behavior patterns drop just as the trees drop their leaves in order to grow again.

The role of the human being is to stand on Earth and reach for Heaven, and the consciousness of the Wood element is to constantly reach for heaven. Spring offers the occasion for a renewed commitment to one's spiritual path.

Five Element theory provides many metaphors for understanding life processes and Module 4(7) supplies the tools to use this theory, bringing balance to clients issues in a dynamic way. At a clinical level, balancing the Five Elements is one of the most powerful ways to improve not only the SB, but all aspects of the cranial sacral system and hence truly opening up the breathing cycle. This in turn improves some one's ability to reach out and take what is rightfully theirs in life. Five Element theory from Module 4(7) adds instantly to your practice, and helps you to grow in your understanding of life.

This is the time to embrace new challenges, including challenging ourselves to taking better care of bodies and spirits. So many people make New Year's resolutions that they break almost immediately - because it is the wrong time to make big changes.

Now is the time for new projects and dietary changes, as Spring is the time for new beginnings. What can you change this Spring? What can you reach for that is rightfully yours? Now is the time to embrace your self, others and new projects.

A BodyTalker walks into a Pizza Parlor

What did the BodyTalker say when she walked into the pizza parlor?

"Make me one with everything."

When the BodyTalker got the pizza, she gave the proprietor a $20 bill. The proprietor pocketed the bill.

The BodyTalker said "Don't I get change?"

The proprietor said, "Change must come from within."

In other words, many of us believe that we can go to someone else to buy our health/peace, but we must look within ourselves to see what needs changing in US, before we can TRULY heal!

HAPPY SPRING!!!!!!

What you didn't know about moms

My niece, Tessa, sent this over today and it's just perfect as I am hurting tonight. We took Cora out to Taco Johns yesterday for her birthday and I didn't think it mattered if I had a little salt now and then. Tonight I am paying the price--owwwwwwwwwwwwww. Please pray for me!!! Anyway, I laughed at some of these, even though I'm hurting big time, so I thought that you may all like a few of them too.

Goodnight,

Dawn

WHY GOD MADE MOMS Answers given by 2nd grade school children to the following questions:

Why did God make mothers?
1. She's the only one who knows where the scotch tape is.
2. Mostly to clean the house.
3. To help us out of there when we were getting born.

How did God make mothers?
1. He used dirt, just like for the rest of us.
2. Magic plus super powers and a lot of stirring.
3. God made my mom just the same like he made me. He just used bigger parts.

What ingredients are mothers made of?
1. God makes mothers out of clouds and angel hair and everything nice in the world and one dab of mean.
2. They had to get their start from men's bones. Then they mostly use string, I think.

Why did God give you your mother and not some other mom?
1. We're related.
2. God knew she likes me a lot more than other people's mom like me..

What kind of a little girl was your mom?
1. My mom has always been my mom and none of that other stuff.
2. I don't know because I wasn't there, but my guess would be pretty bossy.
3. They say she used to be nice.

What did mom need to know about dad before she married him?
1. His last name.
2. She had to know his background. Like is he a crook? Does he get drunk on beer?
3. Does he make at least $800 a year? Did he say NO to drugs and YES to chores?

Why did your mom marry your dad?
1. My dad makes the best spaghetti in the world. And my mom eats a lot.
2. She got too old to do anything else with him.
3. My grandma says that mom didn't have her thinking cap on.

Who's the boss at your house?
1. Mom doesn't want to be boss, but she has to because dad's such a goof ball.
2. Mom. You can tell by room inspection. She sees the stuff under the bed.
3. I guess mom is, but only because she has a lot more to do than dad.

What's the difference between moms and dads?
1. Moms work at work and work at home and dads just go to work at work.
2. Moms know how to talk to teachers without scaring them.
3. Dads are taller and stronger, but moms have all the real power 'cause that's who you got to ask if you want to sleep over at your friends.
4. Moms have magic, they make you feel better without medicine.

What does your mom do in her spare time?
1. Mothers don't do spare time.
2. To hear her tell it, she pays bills all day long.

What would it take to make your mom perfect?
1. On the inside she's already perfect. Outside, I think some kind of plastic surgery.
2. Diet. You know, her hair. I'd diet, maybe blue.

If you could change one thing about your mom, what would it be?
1. She has this weird thing about me keeping my room clean. I'd get rid of that.
2. I'd make my mom smarter. Then she would know it was my sister who did it not me.
3. I would like for her to get rid of those invisible eyes on the back of her head.

WHEN YOU STOP LAUGHING -- SEND IT ON TO OTHER MOTHERS, GRANDMOTHERS, AND AUNTS . . . .and anyone else who has anything to do with kids or just needs a good laugh.

THANK FOR SENDING THIS OVER TO BRIGHTEN MY DAY, TESSA!!

Made me laugh

My lifetime friend, Anna, just sent me this silly forward. Sometimes I am just too busy to read forwards--I really am. I just finished 2 long first sessions on the phone now, though, and was needing to unwind. This was perfect timing so thanks, Anna, and have a great day dear friend!
I figured that all of you needed to read something on the lighter side, so here goes.

Thanks to all of you for your prayers and support recently. I'm still taking it easy but actually went out and helped with chores this morning. IT WAS SO WONDERFUL TO BE ABLE TO WORK AGAIN!

Love you all,

Dawn

Why, Why, Why? Why ?

Why do we press harder on a remote control when we know the batteries are almost dead?

Why do banks charge a fee on 'insufficient funds' when they already know there is not enough money?

Why does someone believe you when you say there are four billion stars; but have to check when you say the paint is still wet?

Why doesn't Tarzan have a beard?

Why does Superman stop bullets with his chest, but ducks when you throw a revolver at him?

Why do Kamikaze pilots wear helmets?

Whose idea was it to put an 'S' in the word 'lisp'?

If people evolved from apes, why are there still apes?

Why is it that no matter what color bubble bath you use the bubbles are always white?

Is there ever a day that mattresses are not on sale?

Why do people constantly return to the refrigerator with hopes that something new to eat will have materialized?

Why do people keep running over a string a dozen times with their vacuum cleaner, then reach down, pick it up, examine it, then put it down to give the vacuum one more chance?

Why is it that no plastic bag will open from the end on your first try?

How do those dead bugs get into those enclosed light fixtures?

When we are in the supermarket and someone rams our ankle with a shopping cart then apologizes for doing so, why do we say, 'It's all right?' Well, it isn't all right, so why don't we say, 'That really hurt, why don't you watch where you're going?'

Why is it that whenever you attempt to catch something that's falling off the table you always manage to knock something else over?

In winter, why do we try to keep the house as warm as it was in summer when we complained about the heat?

How come you never hear father-in-law jokes?

And my FAVORITE ...

The statistics on sanity is that one out of every four persons is suffering from some sort of mental illness.. Think of your three best friends -- if they're okay, then it's you.

Humor--health related

Dear friends,
I was thinking this morning about my post on humor. I was hoping that you all don't think I'm the biggest Scrooge in the world. You see, I really DO feel all of those things about people who mock others. I just can't stand it because I can't stand to think of anyone having hurt feelings. One can't live through all of the years of abuse that I endured and take things like that lightly.
Still, I wondered this morning if my comments may have seemed harsh to others? After all, I wasn't exactly kind to these car expert buffoons. I was a bit surprised, then, that my thoughts were much kinder towards them this morning. Pondering the change I suddenly hit on a wonderful thought.
You see, I have had cancer numerous times in the past. I always treat it with herbs and my zapper and lots of TLC. One of the symptoms of cancer, and usually the first red flag that I'm dealing with it again, is that one's thinking changes. When I have cancer, (I can't speak for others) my thinking gets extremely negative. EVERYBODY BUGS ME!!! Why can't they try and be a little quiet; or a little less wiggly; or a little bit more compassionate? WHY INDEED.
Don't they know that my pain level is out of the roof? Can't they see the pain on my face as shown in this picture? Doesn't anybody care that I have cancer? Why do they expect me to keep working the way I always do when I have cancer? Who cares if they eat when I'm hurting so badly? Why do I have to continually ask people to carry the laundry basket out to the wash line for me? I can hang up the wash but I'm too weak to carry the basket. I want to be useful but I have such little strength. I can snap beans but carrying the water to the canner hurts too much. EVERYTHING HURTS TOO MUCH!!! Car expert bozos hurt too much. Can you see my thought processes here?
I'm humbling myself now. I don't want to be weak. Nobody wants to be weak. Nobody wants to need others to do the little things for them that they normally can do for themselves. I'm aching now because I can see that God wants me to share these thoughts to help others who have cancer and my natural instinct (from growing up in an incestuous home) is to keep my mouth shut and suffer all alone.
Have you ever read the thoughts of someone who has cancer? Has anyone ever taken the time to write them out to try to make a dent in the ignorance all around them? I'm writing for you, dear cancer patient, to try to help you see the ray of hope that comes from tackling problems like cancer by working WITH the body, not by attacking the body. God WILL heal me, as He has done so many times before, but not by my running in to be burnt or cut open.
Do you remember when I said that my naturopath, Dr. Faye, told me to ponder what I am to learn when I have cancer. Well, I see that I just learned a biggie. I think that what God wants me to learn this time is to share my thoughts with the world so that people can see that cancer warps one's thinking. Cancer completely changes me from a confident person to a whiny little kid. Cancer makes me angry because I can't do the work that lies around me without pain, Pain, PAIN!!!!!
Some days I just give up and lie in bed and do BodyTalk on myself and sleep all day--or soak in the whirlpool for 3 hours and turn into a prune. Those are the bad days. I've had it 10 weeks now and most days I can keep plugging along at about 1/2 to 3/4 pace. Those are the good days. Well, you know what? I'm selfish enough to want EVERY day to be a GREAT day!!!!!!!!!!
Cora took this picture of me this Spring when I felt great. When I don't have cancer, I feel great and so alive and so excited about everything all around me. I can work all day without tiring; cook wonderful meals for my family; teach exciting lessons to my children; do the laundry; or drive tractor; or milk the goats all without pain. My face is calm and relaxed and I do not hurt.
I WANT TO LIVE when I don't have cancer and I WANT TO DIE when I do have cancer. It's that simple. Cancer makes you want to die. I suffer from suicidal thoughts often when I have cancer. It just doesn't seem like it is worth the effort of fighting my way through the pain to a pleasant thought when I have cancer. Many people kill themselves when they feel like this. I can understand why.
I write to you who love someone who has cancer. I write this so that you may catch a glimpse of their thought processes. I write this so that you can try to understand what they are going through. I write this so that you may search your heart for a way to show them that you love them even though they have cancer.
You may never know what a little, tiny, eensy teensy weensy effort to try to understand someone who has cancer can mean to them. You may not know that a simple, little gesture can give a cancer patient the will to fight to the end of that day. You may not know that your words, "I'm praying for your health needs," can touch the heart of a cancer patient with extreme joy. It is this joy, which the cancer patient needs more than anything, that will begin to bring the healing.
Some day soon, when I am completely well, I will write about the routine I use when I have cancer. I'm not strong enough now, but I will do it soon. Today I needed to share what I have shared so that everyone out there will pause just one moment to reach out to someone who has cancer. The cancer patient can't help that they have cancer, but it's so terrifying that people prefer to stay away from them, and that is what hurts the most. That means that when the patient needs love the most, they fight the biggest fight of their lives ALONE!!!
Thank you for listening to my thoughts. This morning I feel quite a bit stronger than I did when I wrote the humor post. This morning I had the strength to write and explain that I only want to bring joy and beauty to the whole world. This morning I count my blessings of almost having the cancer licked. Look at this little guy in my hands. He's a half grown goose by now and I am growing too. I'm picking up my courage to express my thoughts about having cancer. This has helped me to grow more than I can explain. God bless you for listening.
To conclude, I would say that it would be wise for all of us to look for personality changes in those we love. If they seem more snappy and weak, it may be that they just need more rest or better food or a shoulder to cry on. However, if this continues for weeks, perhaps the kindest thing to do would be to climb over the Mountain Denial, and face the possibility that cancer may have become active in the body.
Then you simply MUST run to the doctor, right? WRONG. I can see that I need to write my cancer procedural chart out ASAP. Let me rest now and I'll see if I can find the strength to do it later on today. In the meantime, check out Dr. Hulda Clark's recommendations listed on my sidebar.
Love always,
Dawn

Humor

Jacob and I are home together today while the others are out stacking bales about 15 miles from here. After doing my BodyTalk sessions and working on laundry, we began making a nice big batch of beef stock from boiling beef. We're trying to get the old beef used up in preparation for butchering in October. There's nothing like opening a jar of beef stock in the middle of winter to use as the base for soup. By making the stock as recommended in NOURISHING TRADITIONS, the gelatin comes out of the bones and soup made from this stock IS VERY NOURISHING and filling. I have not found any store bought soup broth or base which fills the tummies like this or that tastes so delicious.

While I work on a big project with the children in the kitchen, I like to let them choose a tape or video to listen to help pass the time more pleasantly in their opinion. Most often it makes it pleasant for me too. However, just now Jacob was telling me about a program he found online called "Car Talk."

"It's so great Mom, because they really help people solve their car problems AND they're so funny." "Why not", I thought and agreed to listen. I guess it's safe to say that Jacob's "Funny" and my "Funny" are 2 different things. This experience was anything from what I would term pleasant.

First of all, I do not consider everything that someone says as funny. Therefore I do not think it necessary to burst out laughing at every thing that a caller says. For instance, I don't think it was necessary to break into peals of laughter when one woman said that she had a car that was 20 years old. I happen to think that a man who keeps his older vehicle running well is wise and a good steward. Now take a look at Andrew's "New" pickup. This pickup is 11 years old and it looks almost new. It was proper care that kept it this way and that is not a laughing matter.

To be honest, these guys just really bugged me!!! It got me thinking about how humor can really take a turn for the worse. I guess I could probably write a book on this subject but I'll just throw this out for you to ponder.
I have heard it said that it isn't humor unless it's funny to both parties. These bozos insulted the one woman because her aunt GAVE her this 20 year old car. They mocked another woman because she wasn't sure if she'd need her block heater after just moving to a warmer climate. They also criticized a fellow who didn't know that in summer you should have less air pressure in the tires than in the winter--or at least that's what they said.
I can tell you, these guys would be the last people on earth that I'd ever ask for advice about one of my vehicles. How on earth did they get to be so popular? Are we, as a nation, so warped that we must mock everyone in order to elevate ourselves above them? That is really sick people, in my opinion anyway. So, as a general rule of thumb, remember that if it isn't funny to the person that you're talking to, IT ISN'T FUNNY. If they don't feel good after you said it, maybe you shouldn't have said it. Just maybe you should say, "I'm sorry." Wouldn't that be a nice change?

Any comments?

Cheating

Ok, I don't have much time this morning as I need to be at the office by 11:00 to see a client. First, though, I need to iron my pillowcases; feed the troops; help with chores; add some straw to the stock trailer and hook it up; drive to Mandan; unload the stock trailer; drive over to the office; get set up for a session--all by 11:00. Being I needed a little help with my morning post, I decided to cheat and copy something. This just came in from the EFT website just now so I hope that you will enjoy the humor. I could only print 3 of them, as the other 2 were just plain stupid. Please keep me in your prayers today!

Love as always,

Dawn

Creative Definitions - Part 1

The following is from the Washington Post's Mensa Invitational which once again asked readers to take any word from the dictionary, alter it by adding, subtracting, or changing one letter, and supply a new definition. Here are the winners:

1. Cashtration (n.): The act of buying a house, which renders the subject financially impotent for an indefinite period of time.

2. Intaxication: Euphoria at getting a tax refund, which lasts until you realize it was your money to start with.

3. Bozone (n.): The substance surrounding stupid people that stops bright ideas from penetrating. The bozone layer, unfortunately, shows little sign of breaking down in the near future.

Just found this treasure

Hello,
I just went on the Northern Plains Sustainable Ag Societies' website (listed on my sidebar) to see when the summer symposium is going to be held. I was looking under upcoming events when I noticed that they had thanks listed for those who helped with the winter conference. It's way on the bottom of the upcoming events section.
