Robert and I had a marvelous time hosting Cora and her family in our home this past weekend. We had a potluck Saturday night with Andrew's family included and Marie's Dad and Sister were with us too. The house was full of laughter and YES we took family photos. Thanks a million to Andrew for the use of your photography skills and equipment once again!!
I loved watching Timothy and Elsie together! When he saw her, Timothy let out a squeal of laughter and came running to her. She pressed against Grandma Dawn and I got him slowed down enough to a "Strong hug" level. Those two little ones sure love each other a whole bunch but haven't seen each other for a couple of months. She warmed up to her cousin quickly and soon they were playing together like no separation had taken place. It was adorable when Timothy took Elsie's hand and took her down to the family room to see the fire place lit up. The heater wasn't turned on so we weren't concerned about them getting burnt.
Little Christina is crawling around really FAST. I was surprised how she gets around so much quicker since I saw her last month. She is sooo cute with her 2 tooth grin. Of course, holding our newest grandchild, Josiah was an extra special thrill!!! I'm praying that Christina and Josiah will be just as great pals as Timothy and Elsie are someday!
Robert and I are in the 6th year of the TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL series. Sometimes they're hard to watch like last night's episode of WW2. Always the message of God's love for ALL people shines through. Here is a clip from the Jewish perspective of that horrible chapter in Earth's history.
Today the true record of 6,000,000 Jew's deaths is not so commonly spoken of as it was when I grew up. I think it's important that everyone remembers what hatred can do. How powerful it is when one people group lifts itself up above another people group. HOW TERRIBLY POWERFUL!
In this clip Andrew (the Angel of Death) is telling a tragically lonely man about his father's death in a concentration camp. I think it's important to remember that how we live every day either lifts others up or pulls them down. How we die does too.
I pray that God's love for His children will flood everyone's heart as you ponder these things. By His children I mean specially the Jewish people. Secondly I refer to those who have given their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ. Lastly I refer to ALL people for the Bible tells us that God is not willing for ANY to perish without knowing how very much He loves them.
I think often of the song the angels sang on the night that Jesus/Yeshua was born. PEACE ON EARTH GOOD WILL TO MEN!! God wants us to have peace in our hearts and peace in our relationships. May His peace flood you as you see that how you live your life matters GREATLY!
Lots of love,
Dawn
